Drake - from what I see in SandStorm n Helldivers 2 - the physics nitty gritty like how movements and mouse look can affect how quick and stable n accurate your actual targeting from the weapons - I think it tremendously takes the gunplay to the next level and making weapons meaningful as their roles and not feeling CHEAP like how you can pull "twitch shooting" jumping back n forth as most shooters. I'm just curious how would that affect future development?
@@clalam5241 this is not "trends" n gimmick - these are important elements if u gonna have a "milsim". If I suggest the arrows minigame to call down air supports - then u can say that it gimmick.
@@clalam5241 u obviously never swing a hammer in your life to even register that all guns have weight to them and that massively affects your speed n stability for target acquisition. Hell I'm just a gamer, never shoot a real gun but I have worked on mechanicals and even I understand that.
Yea and i want a 24/7 experience , completely openworld , seemless ground to air and a space exploration area ( also seemless loading from space to earth not like starfield ) also we need a evolution system as spawning in as a human makes no sense and we need to start as amoebas
I'm a big fan of Insurgency, Insurgency Sandstorm, HLL and some other similar games. Also I have many videos about Operation Harsh Doorstop. Funny momenst, action moments. I think I have around 50-100 hours in OHD now and even tho it has some problems in the current state, it also has a huge potential. I would really want to collaborate with someone on OHD, but I don't really know in what way or how.

@@berkekadircelik6282 Agree! Maybe in the future, they'll release a modding software that allows for newbies like me to mod the game. I'd love to make a WW3 style shooter with this game... something just a bit more Arcade-ish, not so tactical as it is right now. I still enjoy playing some matches in this game though!
Guys guys please add completely open world no loading screens persistent server gameplay , also i need space exploration and underwater diving . Also please add factory and agricultufe simulator mini games for our equipment and food ( for the 5 different nutrition status bars)
I just want to thank everyone in the O:HD family and it really is a family here, for all the creativity and love here. You love to see so many neat features being added and more actually interesting game modes. I hate battle royale and generic extraction stuff.
I remember the playtest where we randomly decided to play this game mode. My ping was absolutely horrible being from Australia but I eventually made it into that room and saved you. Real fun times.
This mode might benefit with commander roles for both sides directing forces off of the info given by soldiers in the field. Add some heli sounds (actual heli landing on a rooftop would be great but small steps )once the VIP is in the extract and possibly extend the extract time giving the hunter side the time to move closer before the game ends, It would make the last moments more intense for both sides.
So the new update is really cool, i absolutely love it. But while play-testing i encountered two main bugs happening a few times. So one time if you switch from your primary to your secondary too fast, it will infinitely zoom in with your secondary, like keep zooming in and in and in. The second one is that (i only encountered this so far when you have higher ping) if you jump while sprinting you sometimes randomly vault over air. Like if you vault over a wall but there is non. Thats about the only bugs I saw, keep up the good work Drake 👍
Call of Duty MWIII does this thing when you move up and down stairs: if you're just walking it will slow the character when on stairs (moving up and down) even when sprinting. I think sprinting up and down stairs should use more stamina than sprinting on a flat surface.
King of the Hill and Team King of the Hill, but the way Novalogic did it in Delta Force 2, where the center of the zone (100% time in zone) is in an open area, but less-hot (smaller percentage of time in zone) extremities of the circle zone overlap buildings and places to hide.
I thought it will be a budget, more casual version of Arma but at this point it doesn't have either the detail and feel of modern shooters (Insurgency, Squad) or depth of Arma 3. Arma Reforger really makes it look cheap in every department - graphics, sounds, physics, environment, detail. I would say weapon models and animations are really good in OHD but the gunplay is somehow weird. Granted, OHD doesn't have millions € at their disposal so that's expected but if you look for swiss army knife of shooters I'll look closely at what will come from Bohemia Interactive in next few years. There's definately a future here for PvP but we really need several years.
This game looks amazing there is just one thing that is missing. Props around the map and in the buildings, everything looks so naked. No pictures in the wall no trash around the house, street signs garbage containers and so much more. I hope you see this and i wish you all the best keep up your dream ❤
This mode looks pretty great. Forces some real interesting gameplay. Seems like it wants some mechanic to force leadership role among the non VIP players. Luckily that one guy axios seemed to rise to the occasion.
A really simple thing that will really help your game out is just the ability to ping a location with middle click or something? so you can show team mates where threats are
I love all of it! I love the whole idea! Although, I think what the game really needs (other than vehicles and a way to keep track of where your friends are) is detail. Like, esptetically and physically, the maps are so empty, and it doesn't give it a triple A feel at all :/ For me, trying to get my friends to try/join is hard, since they don't think it looks very cool I think. And well, same for myself. I'm finding it hard to enjoy the game since it's so empty, and it's really hard staying together with my friends. With that said, I loooove what you do! ❤ Keeep iiit uuuup!!
Fantastic work, you all defo can be super proud of this update and the game in general, the player soldier movement looks excellent, the sounds and graphics are all solid, I honestly believe that OHD, will be the best FPS game in the years to come.
BATTLEFIELD 4!!!! Get your game tuned to do that and you becomes unstoppable. BF4 has fast movement and has been so optimized its provides a great roadmap to making a juggernaut of a game, BTW love the game and work you've done
What I’m really looking for is a newer less clunky PR that also has a community like arma that can make the game feel new forever with mods and also I wanna see something like ground branch or read or not in a mod

Interesting mechanic for a mod could be much slower movement speed and quick sprint which would drain stamina quickly, can slow game enough for good CQB experience as well to induce more cover and vehicle oriented gameplay
Tip: the handmodels just look like they arent gripping the gun and look like its holding on to them for dear life, its weird but it might just look better
slowly but surely becoming quite an interesting game (not quite at the standard he tries make it seem like its best thing since oxygen but it is lookin great and coming along)
i was considering this game for a longer time now, but didnt commit cause from what i can tell, its all about that BF type, big map, running around, killing people, capturing points or flags in a big map. If thered be like more arena like CS like game modes, like TDM, DM or Defuse, search and destroy, classic CTF etc. arms race or gun race or whatever its called, id like that, probably a lot. Without it, just looks great but its not for me. I really tried to play that type of game, but no fun for me.
The main issue with multiple game modes is not enough players to fill the matches. Even playing battlefield, the only servers with players is conquest large. Making every other game mode completely useless.
Looking good! I've only played a little bit with bots, I'm not a good FPS player even though I was there at the beginning (DOOM!) through Team Fortress and everything else. Hope to get online and play some sooner or later, just hope I'm not too embarrassing when I am on LOL
Would be cool for the VIP mode to have a asymmetrical version. A team of 4-12 players protect a VIP the enemy is a single player who can spawn in Ai and other assets in waves.
VIP escort was always my favorite game mode in old school team fortress i think it was called president ,and one team was snipers and the other was medic and soldier class. PS im old AF

One more request I highly suggest…. Please, overhaul the games sound to make it much more realistic. It’s still pretty cheesy, and very realistic ballistic sound and super sonic cracks etc. better long distance shots. This game need to sound better, other than that. I absolutely love this game!

Hey Drake, are there any solutions to all the mods being confined to their own game modes? We have numerous qol mods already (3rd person, visible body in first person, the ragdoll and sw3 mod, but literally all of these are confined to themselves and cant be used in conjunction and I was wondering if theres a way around that
this game has proved the big companies wrong, and it still does, its probably the BEST free fps game on steam right now. but it just needs one fix that wouldve been awesome. it would be nice if there was still some more work put on optimisations, cus i have an rtx 3060 laptop, and it lags a bit when playing in multiplayer... look im not critisizing the game. at all ! its awesome. but yeah... it lags a bit. no critisisms btw i love this game ! keep up the good work !
The only problem ii have about O:HD is the modding all of the mods are listed as gamemode i really want to use the bodycam mod and the bloodlust mod but i cant Hope you can fix it i mean the game is in Early Access to i hope this is fixed:)
you should fix my biggest problem with the game: if you start running (holding W) the soldier starts running a little delayed. it does not feel like inertia, it feels like lag and i HATE it. and another one: leaning does not work while you walk. leaning works only when you stand still.. WHY. unnecessary restriction. please change that
A hardcore BR game would be fun where the borders of the remaining playfield are breaking away down into a "void" ... permanently - not in waves ... the reduction in playfield-size should be permanently so that tatctical waiting is not an option.
