Here's my take on it: Not only should Madison not have gone on to the show due to Peter and her values not lining up (which was made obvious by the windmill fiasco), but she she should have told Peter about her values before hand. As someone who is saving sex for marriage as well, I mention that basically at the beginning. You avoid all this mess by just being real. I do think she did a better job at presenting her beliefs better than Luke P though (who also should not have been on the frickin show.) He shamed Hannah for having sex and basically said "you had sex and are now beneath me, but because I love you I'll let it slide, you heathen." Madison basically said "you can do what you want but if you do have sex that indicates that our values don't line up and I don't want to be in a relationship like that." What is very telling though is the fact that she said she has compromised because Peter is worth it. I've seen it happen many times before. A person with seemingly very strong faith starts to compromise in order to be with someone they like and ends up losing their faith or causing their significant other to start practicing that faith w/o any actual belief in it to keep them. Usually it ends up being both at the same time. Now Peter, ...*sigh*...Dear Peter. I do not like the "oh, it's the bachelor. That's what fantasy suites are for. He can have sex with all of them if he wants" excuse. There have been bachelors/bachelorettes before that did not have sex with anyone on the show other than the one person they chose at the end after the show. There have also been bachelors/bachelorettes that have not kissed many of the contestants. Peter, you could have waited until you picked the final person to have sex with them. The fact that he didnt really have any serious conversations with all THREE of the girls, especially Victoria, tells me he was so adamant about having a connection with all of them Because he just wanted to have sex. I don't believe that if you actually love someone you can be okay with having sex with another person. That goes for all of the girls. If Peter loved ALL 3 OF THEM like he said, he would not have had sex with any one of them out of respect for each girl. I agree with Madison when she said that it would make her uncomfortable to have Peter get down on one knee to propose 6 days after he had sex with someone else. Based off his decisions on the show, he is not ready for marriage at all.

I don’t like how everyone online keeps wording it like “Madison and Peter don’t belong together because HE can’t accept her beliefs.” First of all, can’t we make that same argument about Luke P and Hannah B? I mean with Luke P the only difference I saw here was that his approach seemed to shame Hannah B where Madison’s approach didn’t seem as harsh. But they still were conveying the same message. “If you sleep with anyone else, I don’t think I could move on.” Not saying it’s right for them to say that, but it’s definitely unfair that Madison seemed to have barely gotten any backlash for that, ESPECIALLY since she was less communicative about it than Luke was. Second of all, what about Peter’s beliefs? He outright SAID in an interview on here before fantasy suites that he personally felt sex was an important part of a relationship. There’s nothing wrong with believing that or desiring that for a relationship, just how there’s nothing wrong for Madison to desire the opposite until she’s married. Yet somehow Peter is being shamed for not respecting her wishes when you could say Madison isn’t respecting his either? I mean I’m shocked that people care more about Peter not respecting Madison’s wishes than the fact that he’s seemingly only keeping Victoria F around just so he can have sex with her then leave her. THAT seems more scummy to me, whether Victoria did bad stuff or not.

The real question is, what mascara does Madison use??

From a guy’s perspective, if I was in love with someone I wouldn’t even consider going all the way with the other two. Based on this episode, he wants Madison. She is best one out of all them, especially during the beginning of this season. I don’t have any respect for him as he keeps going with Victoria.

I don't think it was important for Madison to tell Peter she was a virgin, but it was crucial for her to tell him she was waiting for marriage early on so that Peter could decide if that is something he also wanted. You can't force someone to have the same values as you, and you shouldn't also change who you are to suit anybody.

This season has been a disappointment but thanks Bachelor Fantake for keeping us coming back to you!

the thing I take away from this is Peter likes sex, a lot to the point he kept one of the most toxic (from what we see) women in the running for his heart just to sleep with her. He could have just not slept with anyone and just got to know them personally for once, and learn from being sent home right after Fantasy suites.

Peter breaking down in tears and crying while begging Madison not to leave was a hugeeee tell like he didn’t have that kinda passion or feelings with the other women. Team Madison all the way even though she says like and umm too much!

I'm wondering if Peter didn't feel so much pressure to have sex with them because of all the Windmill hype? I also feel like the producers deliberately made Madison's date last knowing conflict would arise with her. The producers forget real people with real feelings are involved.

i don't understand sleeping with two other people when you're so seriously into one person. if it's a week until engagement time, you probably already know who you're picking, and therefore, the one person you want to be intimate with. maybe i'm just super monogamous, but when i'm into someone, i would feel too guilty to be with someone else that way. but other bachelors and bachelorettes do this too--it's a problem i have with the show, not just peter. but c'mon. even nick viall only slept with vanessa at fantasy suites.

I knew Victoria wasn't the best person, but when she said "or getting ready for bed!" That didn't sit well with me. The reason behind it seemed like it was to make Madison mad/upset. She had that mocking smile on, too. Disappointed but not surprised 😒

I think you said what was wrong with what Madison did really eloquently. There is NOTHING WRONG with waiting till marriage and NOTHING WRONG with wanting someone who has the same values as you. But she should've been upfront about it earlier, and she should've been more ready to deal with the possibility of him being with other women having signed up for this show. Yes, its weird to sleep with one person and then get engaged to someone else right after, but this show is NOT realistic, and never really has been- fantasy suites and their ~insinuation~ are present every season. And Yes we've seen Peter make some really terrible decisions (cough Victoria F. cough), but I think he acted fairly in this situation. They just seem incompatible.

Watching this episode made me lose all respect for Peter

Let’s say Peter hadn’t slept with the other women and in the end chooses Madison; She still has her beliefs. Peter wants to travel and have adventures with his partner, and has shown he likes sex (obviously) and if it happens it the moment, it happens. They would travel, have an “in the moment” situation and he’d want to have sex, but she wouldn’t because of her beliefs and would (maybe) feel he wasn’t respecting that or that it was just a “in the moment” thing. I just don’t see it working either way because no one is thinking about what an actual relationship requires outside of a tv show (religion, children, living situations, etc.) Also I’m not saying Peter isn’t a respectful guy, I’m just saying things happen and situations can be misinterpreted. (We’re also not shown everything that happens behind the camera so just assumptions)

I think it’s messed up that she waited for so long to tell him about how strongly her faith is and about saving herself. I don’t think peter truly saw how important the no sex with the other girls was...I think if she had told him she was saving herself it would have changed his look on it. 🤷🏻‍♀️ kind of also feel like if she had of been open from the beginning of the show she might not have made it to the end. I have nothing against her I just think that’s the reality of it.

Honestly, while she only said that she "might" not be able to get past the fact that he had slept with other women, it was easy to tell from the way that she hesitated so much that she wouldn't be. She did give him an ultimatum in my opinion, though I hate to agree with Victoria F, and he made the decision to sleep with Hannah Ann and Victoria (or just one but let's be real) and now she wants to bail. It is on him that he made the decision to sleep with them, and seeing Colton's season we know if he really wanted to he could've ended it when she said she wouldn't be able to move forward. He did what he wanted and slept with the other women and honestly I don't think that he cares enough about her to not have made that decision. You can do FS and not sleep with the person, a lot of people don't sleep with the person, look at Hannah and Tyler. There are other people that have come forward and said the same thing. Just saying

I have to agree. I think it's amazing that Madison is so proud of her faith and has high standards for herself. I just wish she hadn't been so afraid of sharing it with Peter sooner. Even if it meant he sent her home, then that would mean he's just not the man for her and that's okay. It's not wrong what she told him or even how she said it, it's WHEN she tells him. Literally in the 11th hour. I know she does give him a preview of how she feels but like in the video...she isn't exactly clear about it. I'm not shaming her, and there's no shade here, only love. Just giving my perspective.

It truly isn’t an easy thing for her, specially seeing how they handled Colton’s virginity. I truly believe she tried to tell him sooner but telling someone privately and doing so on TV are two different things

I agree she should've told him about saving herself for marriage sooner and that the conversation she had with him about her expectations wasn't communicated in the best way, but here's how I see it: if she was truly Peter's frontrunner in his mind and he saw himself picking her at the final rose ceremony, he shouldn't have slept with any of the other women. I disagree with you. She didn’t need to tell him about her virginity until the fantasy suite. That should not be something you build a relationship on and she brought it up when it was pertinent to the relationship. Regardless of all that, her being a virgin has nothing to do with being uncomfortable with getting engaged to someone who slept with someone else less than a week earlier. Most people would not be okay with that.

Madison should leave. She made it clear that she'd lose respect for herself if she didn't (bending her own rules and expectations). She told Peter what she wanted and he made a choice to risk his relationship with her to further the other two relationships. If he truly can't lose her he should have thought of that before he slept with the other women knowing full well that it risked his relationship with Madison.

This Peter bachelor season is the most boring in my view , it feels like a watching a Kindergarten !

I think neither Madison nor Peter are totally in the wrong. It's perfectly legitimate for Madison not to like the idea to possibly be purposed by someone who just slept with someone else a few days prior, especially if Peter has expressed that he feels more strongly about her. In real life, many of us, religious or not, wouldn't be totally okay with that idea. But I also think that Peter (just like any other lead) has the prerogative of exploring what he thinks he needs to explore in the fantasy suites, including sex, if it gives him a better idea of who to choose and at this point, he doesn't owe a vow of fidelity to anyone.

I think Madison's issue is she's so young, she'd not had to have this conversation before.

here is my theory! no spoilers because i actually don't know if its true but just what i think is going to happen.. So Madison comes to the rose ceremony but tells peter she is leaving after getting the rose. That's why we see the car drive away and peter seems upset about it. So it comes down to Hannah Ann and Victoria F but only one rose left. Peters mom is crying because she wants Madison to return but he doesn't know how that can happen. When it comes down to proposals Madison ends up coming back and that's why Chris is talking to peter saying we just found out. And why peter then doesn't know what to do. The season is unspoiled because he ends up going home to think about it. I think he will end up proposing to Hannah Ann though because he will think about the way Madison made him feel and decide he doesn't want to be with someone who would give him no options like she did.

i completely get where madison is coming from but also it’s not like she didn’t know fantasy suites were an important part of the process before she went on the show. Peters also dating the two others and does have feelings for them so it isn’t fair for her to ask him not to explore that with them, she knew it was a strong possibility before she applied for the show 🤷🏼‍♀️

I totally respect Madison for wanting to save herself for marriage but expecting him to refrain from how he expresses himself. She should have said, "if I'm the one I can't see how you'd even consider sleeping with other girls. If you love the three of us how are you going to suddenly pick one? and even if I'm the one will you be *able* to wait until marriage to have sex with me?" If he truly loves her he would. If he said no, she should have walked. Instead she hardly was straight forward and short of put this shaming spin on it. Also, I would love to stay in the fantasy suite with the final three but that doesn't automatically mean I had sex with them. When they wake up the morning after, they talk a lot about "last night" and somehow it feels, that it was more about their conversation and emotional bond. 2. Victorias face, whenn Hannah Ann tells her about Madisons "ultimatum" is like "WHAT!!! So that's why he didn't sleep with me???" and her reaction is mush stronger. He slept with Hannah Ann in spite of the ultimatum, so, that gives her extra confidence and she is pretty calm. But Victoria goes balistic. It think if he had slept with her, she would be more cocky instead of angry. 3. When Peter and Madison talk he asks her, if she would walk away because of "something that happend this week with an other relationship of mine." - Singular Maybe he knew at the last ceremony, M and HA are his final two, but didn't want to drag Kelsey on...

I’m sorry, but you are 100% wrong about Madison having to tell Peter sooner that she is a virgin. She owes no one any details about her sexual history, it would probably be good for your partner to know you’re a virgin to be respectful of it being your first time, but you don’t HAVE to share that ever. Just like you don’t have to tell someone how many people you’ve slept with, you owe no one any explanation about your sexual history, outside of STDs yes or no. Telling Peter he won’t get any until I do, yes she should tell him that at some point, but meeting her family has nothing to do with that. My opinion doesn't really matter here, but I can't help but feel Peter is really interested in these girls for their looks and being intimate with them, rather than their personalities. Reason being, Victoria F is the most problematic woman, and he is just wanting to keep her around so he can go into the fantasy suite with her, I truly believe that is the only reason he has kept her this long. He always mentions that being intimate is important to him, but in this experience, I don't think that is what should be concerning him as much as someone's actions and the way they are answering his questions. So what if Madison gave Peter an ultimatum? Peter disregarded it and then acted shocked when she was disappointed in him. She did warn him BEFORE fantasy suites started (not like Luke P who did it after the fact). Peter is just super horny and can’t comprehend an actual relationship with real life conversations. He only sees the physical aspect of a woman. I had so much hope for him but his real character is kinda douchey. He’s a sex maniac.

Victoria is obviously deeply damaged by a past relationship and we definitely didn’t get the whole story about that. It’s not fair to her to judge her so harshly based off the edit the producers gave her. There’s clearly something there between her and Peter besides a physical attraction for her to have made it this far. And compared to the other 2 relationships, this one feels more real to me and less manufactured. You’re going to be challenged by your partner, and if you don’t know how to get through tough moments together, how the heck do you know if a marriage will last? No marriage is conflict-free.

Am I the only one that thinks Madison is fake? She created a fake insta to promote herself and got caught. She talks about her faith and if she truly believed in that she shouldn’t have got on the show (especially knowing how intimate Peter was on Hannah’s season). It seems to wishy washy for me. It’s fairly obvious peter does care about Madison. In his own way haha. I mean, he cried with her yet he didn’t shed one single tear with the Victoria meltdown last episode haha.
