It’s always obvious who the front runner is, but you give everyone a chance regardless. I do t have a problem with her choosing Dale and leaving, but her treatment of all the other men has been disgusting.

They didn't do it for clare, they did it for fame and a chance at easy money in the future. ( nothing wrong with that, if that's what they wish) but this is the case with all bachelorettes and bachelors and all the participants.

OK let’s be real she didn’t cancel the date. Her schedule is being dictated by producers, they tell her when to get ready where to go and at what time, if they ran out of time it was the producers that ran out of time not Claire. This is how the show works they pick the dates and how things will go and then tell the lead to say it’s their idea.

Okay but Zach was being hella awkward the whole time. She said it herself in her interview that she was trying to give him a fair shot, but it seemed like they barely had any chemistry in the first place. When you've established a solid connection with somebody else, ofc it's hard not to think about that other person while on a date. Especially when the person you're on the date with isn't making your situation any easier with their nerves. I'd feel the same exact way if I was in her position. And I also don't think she's a bad person for doing the things that she's done either, but ofc she's not a very good bachelorette because she wasn't really "playing the game."

Yeah that said a lot when she responded with that. I saw an article recently where Chris H is saying clare wanted the show to end and that THEY didnt kick her off. I guess because Clare is telling people this. But the day before i read an article where an insider on the show admitted that they knew they had to replace her after she gave that group rose to herself. Personally i think the producers did the right thing by ending her run. They have a show to run, including a tried and true formula. And Clare wasnt playing along. She was too worried about her own feelings and wants than the rest of the guys that took time to be there. (Nor did she care that the producers had a show to do- that she signed up for knowing full well what they expected in return.) Really annoying that she immediately closed herself off to getting to know any of the other guys. I'm sure there have been leads that are pretty sure they know who theyre likely to choose in the end, but their able to be present in the moment and are mature enough to at least attempt to get to know some of the guys before throwing all their eggs in one basket. Which is the smart thing to do. Often time first impressions can be based mostly on lust. Anyway i had a feeling Clare would handle all of this poorly when it was announced she was the lead. I literally told my husband that i thought casting her was risky because of the behavior I've seen from her in her prior seasons. So honeslty none of this is too shocking to me. I know this is harsh to say, but theres likely a reason someone as beautiful as her is still single.

Clare didnt respind and instead said something like "Yeah you just know!" So i think youre right. Its infatuation and shes been there before but doesnt want to admit it. When they are running to get her a gift Dale says something about his pants, I think they ripped, and then later that night during their one on one time you can see Dale had something in his hand like he was going to give her a gift, she instead gave Dale the eyemask and they went to make out, we never saw what he had to give her but I believe it was the pants he had ripped earlier that day.

She said in last night's episode that she wanted them as a souvenir after Dale ripped them on the love languages group date. Still creepy that she is just sitting there smelling them in front of somebody.

I think it’s understandable she freaked out as it must have been a bad trigger for her due to her abusive relationship and that’s ok that she stepped away and don’t think her initial reaction should have people getting mad at her. However the fact she didn’t go talk to him later and explain why he’s being sent home so he understood what went wrong is not great as people need to be made aware of the long term effects of abuse

SHE froze and then backed out of that kiss and then made the contestant look as if HE assaulted her. I can not believe production filmed & aired that type of behavior. I mean that is defemation of character.

I think the date was obviously going badly, or at least very uncomfortable. So he probably didn’t expect the kiss. I think she either did it for the show, or thinking it was Dale. But then she decided to blame him. I feel really bad for him that he got that edit later on him like he did something wrong. Yes the grabs were awkward but they weren’t meant in a bad way, he was just trying to let her know he wanted to kiss her. No one has even mentioned how rude it was for her not to show up for the evening part of the date. She is so selfish.

Exactly!! SHE canceled the kiss but blamed it on him and so he reacted trying to show her that he wanted her and he wasn’t rejecting her! And she got triggered by him grabbing her (which is fair) and she was in her right to go and take time to herself and to calm down. But to literally not even go and talk to him about it? When it was her actions that caused the whole situation! It was so frustrating. Like you force these guys to talk about their past and their “demons” but you won’t talk about yours? Even to help someone grow and to help them understand why you were upset about him grabbing you like that? She never set him up to be successful and especially as a public figure on a nationwide TV show, I think she had a responsibility to talk about what happened and what could have gone better. But she doesn’t want to be self aware or accept responsibility of her role in these situations so she just avoids it!

Why not go back to Dr. Travis's season and find the freaky female doctor that wanted to breed with him on the first night, and freaked out when he sent her home? I know the show didn't go into details but being a survivor of domestic abuse and her even saying "I'm triggered" I don't blame her for not going. But it should've been explained to him what exactly he did wrong because he obviously was just confused.

i understand what you men, but at the same time i see where Claire was coming from. If something "triggers" me the last thing I want is to be around it or put myself back in it. Still I think they should have discussed it because it is not healthy to let wound fester (especially if it was more like a papercut in the vewiers eyes)

I just think maybe it might have actually helped her to heal a little had she spoken to Zack and explained. I’m sure he felt so poorly and would have really liked the chance to apologize and explain himself. I know that’s not how it goes when you experience real abuse, but I truly believe Zack didn’t have those intentions.

I definitely agree with that. Then she'll feel like sh*t for picking him and basically demand sympathy with her white woman tears, but I won't have any for her 😒. I mean if Tayshia or any black (or black presenting biracial) person acted like Clare, they would have stopped watching so quickly, but not before having complained excessively.

@@ariadnebene8413 hmmm... that's an interesting perspective. I'm not sure I agree Tayshia will be much of an improvement in "serious about actually picking a long term" guy. Mostly based on her involvement with JPJ. Never really liked him, didn't really see the chemistry.... but the season must go on! If they don't change the guys out, hopefully Tayshia will develop a genuine connection.

I would imagine it’s the producers trying to sway us toward Tayshia, similar to how the next lead is often given a more favorable edit at the end of a season. True it could have been handled better, but we can't control how she handles situations that bring up old trauma for her. I have my own issues and when "triggered" I do not think properly and recoil from situations and in her case Zack. Communication was a serious issue, in that but we all react differently. She had a right to be uncomfortable

So true. She leaned in for the kiss so he thought she wanted to kiss. When she accused him of pulling away he wanted her to know that he wanted to kiss her. The neck grab would have been romantic if she wanted it to be. She wants someone to chase her but freaked out on him when he tried. She says she's a strong woman but she couldn't even break up with him herself.

My issue is that people are downplaying it as her being "extra" and "toxic" to be brought back to a bad experience. I think people are so quick to jump on the hate bandwagon that they dont care when a situation it actually justified. She never takes responsibility. Even the preview of her combative "non-apology apology" for next week shows her saying "Well, I"m SORRY if I wasted your time!" using her usual victim tone and accusatory defiance. That's not a sincere apology. That's bravado for being called out on her shitty behavior, like the snotty, entitled head-cheerleader emotional adolescent that she is.

I feel the same way. It's just ridiculous that a woman can say any and everything to a man without consequences, but a man can't.
