Capo's are a necessity for any guitarists. When you see someone using one, it's because they can't physically bar off an area of the neck in some case 3 or more frets higher than the work they are having to do. I know this, I have a masters in music, guitar no less. Really, "A real man, not using a capo is kind of an amateur thing to say.

I agree with you man. Capo is kinda crappo and isn't always required unless you're touring with a symphony. I love going outside the box though, theoretically speaking. Not with a capo, (to each their own) I like messing with alt tunings. Anybody with an alt tuning song and a capo? Probably not, so let's respect my man's comment here and agree that different is beautiful. 🤘

@@seiferkanai9088 Have to throw this in bud, 'Cant bar on a fretboard'? I don't know who your influences may be, respectfully, but check out Jake E Lee's style of play. If every guitarist needs a capo, why have I never noticed one on the guitar of Hendrix, Vai or Satriani? Actually, alot of experienced guitar players that I've jammed with would see a capo as some kind of training wheels for the ears or something. Just saying, I know my opinion don't mean crap, just, sometimes it needs to be put out there
