Praise God! I have been desiring this gift for so long and as we prayed at the end I began to speak in tongues. Thank you Jesus! God is so faithful and true. I was so happy. My mouth felt like it was moving on it's own. Glory to God!

I just recieved the gift of tongues today, not even a few hours ago. I have not stopped praying. I have wanted this for about three weeks and now I have it I am beyond grateful.

I was told to keep saying HALLELUJAH over and over again. It took some time, but the hallelujah turned to tongues.

Speaking in tongues is an amazing and very helpful gift. It also helps boost your immune system. Also u can sing in tongues. Keep speaking god will show u many things....it a direct prayer to god. The enemy can't understand .

The holy spirit is a baptism that is holy. Please be careful that you make the distinction between good and bad spirit. Holy things need to be approached with caution. I mean this in a kind way. Can't be taught in RU-vid. Only thru fasting, prayer can one have the true holy spirit.

@@blackwidowotilia yeah if you're using RU-vid to "learn" how to speak in tongues instead of going to God then yes that may be possible but if you're praying to God then he will not give you a demon or let a bad spirit come upon you

I received my tongues in 2006. A pastor at the time prayed for us to receive it outside on a college campus. One day in my room I started praying in my regular language abs all of a sudden it came out Being an intercessor and a prayer woman praying in tongues have totally revolutionized my prayer life,my natural life and my relationship with God. it is the best thing that has grown my relationship with the Holy Spirit. This language has helped me know insights from the Lord and see more clearer visions. I'm so grateful for tongues. So much power breaks forth in the spirit realm through praying in tongues. If your not speakinh in tongues you are doing yourself a disservice. Praying in your understanding could only go so far and limited with the natural language, but speaking in tongues builds you up internally and the supernatural is revealed!! I now speaking in tongue for hours and i truly love it and its exciting see my toungues change and differ its awesome. Even when i don't know what to pray it helps me always. Oh I glorify my God for his marvelous works!! I'm forever grateful for this heavenly language.

The problem is trying to receive it. That's the problem I almost spoke in tongues once!! I can't get it again 😭. Maybe I'm not coming to him broken enough I need the be broken ..I want to feel emotions I can't it's hard for me to feel

I never realized how important the gift of tounges really is. Thank u for praying for me at the end of the video. Now I praise God for the Holy Spirit in your life. Wow very similar thing happened to me I was also lusting after the gift. But after I stopped I just let go everything I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit were I least expected it lol at my aunts house while in prayer four of us nobody even laid their hands on me. It was this warmth and gentle whirlwind going around my hands and gentle tingles then bam it entered my body in the most gentle way. Many times you have to come to God in a childlike faith and let go of everything me personally I would cry infront of my family while we were praying.

Great video!!! My experience is similar to yours. I realized it never happened in church because I'm a private person and there's just to much going on. The gift finally came one day when I was home alone watching TD Jakes on TV. I began praying and realizing the Holy Spirit was present. I cried out in prayer wanted to cleanse my spirit and just letting go. Before I knew I was speaking in tongues uncontrollably.

This is exactly what’s going on with me. In a room full of people receiving the Holy Spirit I didn’t. I was so embarrassed and still don’t understand why I didn’t get it. I know receiving the Holy Spirit will help me move into my purpose. I’ll keep praying till it happens.

I received the gift of praying in tongues 9 years ago while I was fasting and praying for other people and countrie's needs. I believe that nowaydays charismatic churches put the accent too much in tongues. It is a gift of the spirit among 9 others. I see many people being frustrated not to pray in tongues. Others being encouraged by church leaders to TRY to speak and it will come and after trying themselves without the holy spirit they feel like they are not sure they got it or forced it. Unfortunately in charismatic churches the word of Paul about the purpose of tongues is not applied. Many seek the gift of tongues while nobody interprets. Paul encourages us to seek the best gifts but insists that bot everyone speak in tongues as well as not everyone prophecies or has the gift of miracles. So anyone out there who can t speak in tongues, don t be frustrated, having God first is the essential things. Seek the author of the gift

Thank you. A point can surely reach when one feels like the blood of Christ is not enough if speaking in tongues has not yet happened and one can be led to live in fear and doubt of whether or not you have been accepted by God. Amen

Acts 2:38 would disagree. The gift of tongues is for their children and their children's children, and ALL that are afar off. There are multiple gifts, some people have many, some a few, but we all have the ability to have Jesus's baptism of the Holy Ghost.

This is refreshing, i was so concerned, being that first i don't know much about it so i never asked. I was under the belief that since i am saved and living my life for Him i have received the Holy Spirit. I gather if The Most High wants me to receive this gift i will. Thank you. I was at a church yesterday and they were patient and not violently, praying for me to receive but I didnt receive anything. I was open but nothing. They told me before I left to try and think about anything that I could be holding back and let it go but I didnt have anything I was haboring. I dont know why its so far for someone like me. I dont come from a family of believers but I do want it. Pray for me church

Destined 4 Greatness hi dearest, your rational mind is getting in the way. If you're a believer you already have the Holy Spirit. Just ask Him to give you utterance the YOU have to open YOUR mouth and let the words out. He wont force your mouth open. It may sound like rubbish but it's not, God understands every word. I received it on my own alone, nobody prayed for me. I believed and knelt down and prayed but I had to open my mouth to speak. God bless you

I believe a stronger language is energy (emotions & empathy). I don’t know how to speak in tongues but my prayers are powerful in energy form 💗because speaking gets translated to energy so don’t focus on the physical and tap into the spirit 😌

that was my testimony too, slightly different. but it's true, when your lusting after the gifts for your own reason and not ultimately seeking the Lord first, it will be in vain. but when your heart turns to the Lord, how greatly He blesses us. And then we realize that all we have to do is receive the free gifts He has given us. I also studied a lot on it and read books before receiving. I highly recommend Corey Russell's "The Glory Within" to anyone looking to read on tongues. Excellent book and author.

I have been saved since I was 16 years old, but didn't receive the gift of tongues until last year at the age of 56. I was desperate for the gift and the Lord blessed me during a service when we were told to point to a person and ask the Lord to keep them. When I opened my mouth to speak those words, I spoke in tongues and shocked everyone including myself! Just while sitting her watching your video, I spoke in tongues. It is such an undescribable feeling!!

You aren't speaking in tongues. You are speaking gibberish. Paul said the gift of tongues ceased in the 1st C AD. 1 Cor 13:11 So you can stop making noise with your mouth. It's just noise, and it doesn't glorify God one bit that you don't know your Bible better!

when I'm speaking, every word I say has a specific meaning unlike "tongues". english is widely known and spoken by a huge part of the population. it is real because it is spoken by humans, not a claimed entity like the holy spirit which has zero evidence for it

Thank you Daphne! Thank you for being so honest. Tears literally started poring down my face the second you started praying. I'm embarrassed to say this, but I have always been too afraid to receive the gift of tongues. It just seemed so embarrassing to me. I would never go to the front of the church to have people praying that over me. I have been so selfish. I realized that it's not about me. It's ALL about GOD! I shouldn't care what other people think. I want to glorify GOD any way I can. You have truly been a blessing and I'm believing and trusting that the Holy Spirit will have his way in my life. I love your story, mine is different coz i didn't know much about tongues, i used to feel like speaking in tongues in my heart but something could stop from speaking them in my tongues so one day 2006 i dreamt speaking in tongues and after 10days when i was in church praying alone i started speaking in tongues there is nothing sweet like to be filled with the Holy Ghost that is the only language the devil can't hear

I am where you were, lord is so good having me stumble to this video when looking at African threading for my natural hair and all of sudden I see this video which as been my thirst for years and this week most importantly I have thinking been that I was hindered from receiving this gift from something big and disastrous and I'm believing that this gift is here and bubbling up AMEN!!!

Dephne, I am very happy to hear you speak so eloquently about the Holy Spirit of God. Most people have made speaking in tongues to be a devil's tongues nowadays. Some have even sad that speaking in tongues isn't a heaven or hell things... I beg the differ. i an sure that it is apart of our salvation and that it bare witness that we have been born again of God's spirit. I praying in the spirit and with understanding, mostly, i prefer. I praying in the spirit. Bless you for posting this video for the world to hear and witness truth.

@@karpatrice7357 Yes, that was helpful to me to find that scripture. If we stay humble and cling to God we will lack nothing He has purposed for each one of us! Most importantly, will not be unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 1:8). God does all that He does for his glory! 🙂
