I suppose this one is the most underestimated racket not only for Babolat range, but for the whole market. Been using this frame for almost a year now. Its combination of unique touch, control and a decent amount of spin makes it a versatile weapon for me. Paired mine with Solinco Tour Bite 1.3. Recently, I've tried playing with my old rackets, pro staff v13 (315), blade 18x20 and pure strike 16x19 - none of them compares to this racket for my style of playing. I'd also mention an outstanding manoeuvrability which is super helpful for my one-hander. Now I'm stocking up with these frames) Glad you liked the racket too giving it the attention it certainly deserves.

Hey, your comment about this racquet and your comparison with Pro Staff, Blade and Pure Strike caught my attention, I also have a one-handed backhand and I'm looking for a good control racquet that offers a little more punch, spin and feel. I am completely open to customizing it to make it more stable, especially on my backhand, to be able to attack and define more points with authority against heavy hitters. I would like to know if you added any lead to the racket? because in my opinion and according to many of the reviews this can be considered a platform racket, but with more power than the Yonex Percept 97 or Vcore 95, Dunlop CX Tour series. Greetings.

@@gilmillan1909 Hey! Yes, I did add lead to the racket. 2 grams for 12 and about 6 grams right under the buttcap. This made the racket a bit more stable against those heavy hitters. Plus, I got it moving event faster through the air. The total weight now is 348 grams since my sample came overspec'd

not too long ago I asked you about the Head Radical MP. I ended up buying the Strike VS. It is freaking forgiving for a 97 frame, way more than the Prostaff 97 and it swings so easy. I have been playing with this one for about 3 months now and I love it. I paired it with Tecnifibre Razor Soft and it has a lot of control and, at least to me, feels super easy on the arm.

Hey Beckett! Quick question from a long time lurker; How can you compare the VS's forgiveness / sweet spot to the Pure Aero 98? For sure its smaller, but how much smaller? Im kinda strugling between those two atm...I love the Aero's stability, but this VS is just such a versitile and precise racket...Im playing with a Poly Tour Pro (due to arm issue prevention and plush feel). Also, are you planning to make a whole video about the VS? Would love to see your take on it. Thanks for the reply in advance, and keep up the great work!
@TennCom
@TennCom Год назад
I'm not exactly sure what's to come with the PSVS tbh. I personally find the PSVS to be more fun to hit with because of that feel and precision. That's enough for me to prefer it in a lot of ways to the PA98. I haven't matched mine for SW, but I bet the power and stability would increase a lot if you got the PSVS up to like 330 SW.

How does it compare to the VCore 95 2023? Comfort/arm-friendliness being important to me. Currently preferring the Vcore Pro 97 2021 to the Vcore 95 because of comfort even though it's less powerful even with added weight. Thanks!
@TennCom
@TennCom 10 месяцев назад
They are close. The 95 is probably a little plusher and feels a lot faster through the air. The PSVS has more stability and is probably easier to use with more free power. I don't think the comfort on the PSVS is enough of a departure from the VC95 that you would suddenly start having problems unless it also lead to a technical change in your swing.

This racket needs some weight at rhe hoop in my opinion to raise stability and power. Also i recommend to tey thinner strings 1,15mm or 1,20mm to increase the sweet spot. If your arm can handle the stiffness, ita a great racket. But to be fair it has to be said, its still a stiff Babolat. Its on the lower end of the Babolat spectrum and therefore a more comfortable Babolat, but the Head Extreme Tour is much nore comfortable.

I wonder if it is anything like Pure Storm GT that Sampras was using after retirement?

@@TennCom Well level is relative. Alcaraz uses pretty much a retail shop version of the Babolat Pure Aero VS/98 around 335 swing weight range strung + over grip. The retail Pure strike VS, is aprox 322 swing weight strung. The flex of 63 (strung), the headlight balance and the swing-weight, suggest to me a control stick for advanced players with full and fast swing and own power. Alcaraz racket is around the same swing weight. So maybe the Pure Strike VS is too advanced for the Glad's, who generally do not like control sticks. Reading the Tennis Warehouse test-review they say to add lead to 12 o'clock to the hoop of Strike VS to give it some more needed stability (for the tip) and plow though. and then its quickly also in the 330's SW. Cheers.

Man, I saw this video and bought one the next day. Took it straight to court and fell in love - some of the best hitting I have had in years. The next day I bought a second one. This is after a lonnggggg list of racket tests. I feel like your taste in rackets is very similar to mine so I just went for it without demoing. Suuuper happy with this racket. I'm used to playing with the Pure Drive but this racket is way better for me in terms of control and precision. Thanks for doing this vid and all the vids.

What do you think about the serves compared to the pure drive? I have better directional control when I borrowed my friends pure drive for 1 game. I might need to add lead on my pure strike VS next season to probably add more power in the serve.
@dafitzy103
@dafitzy103 10 месяцев назад
@@peejread2309 good question - I do think I am going to try adding some weight. I haven't been serving as much recently tbh. Mostly ground stroke games due to a shoulder issue. Pure Drive is a much more powerful racket. I think that might be what you felt. More decisive hitting in a way? Adding weight the Strike VS would be a good test.

@@dafitzy103 I added 4g at 12 o clock but haven't played yet coz if injury from playing volleyball. I am hoping adding lead would solve the problem. I feel like I have to be very precise with my serve since I dont get much power out of it. Update: I just played with the setup for 2 hours today. I got more power in my serve. 1 racquet with head lynx tour and 1 with head lynx touch. However, I was kinda late with my returns with my 1HBH. Its just probably because I havent played in 2 months. I was spraying balls with the lynx touch though.

Can you please help me out. I’m wanting a lower power frame to achieve a 332 swing weight with a 321 static weight with a balance around 32cm. I need help finding a frame that can be customized to this spec. I prefer head but am willing to try something else if need-be. I’d really appreciate it if you’d be able to help me out with this. Thank you so much for you time!
@TennCom
@TennCom 11 месяцев назад
You'll need to go with something lighter, like a Team version, to get that high of a SW with that low of a static weight. I think the old Graphene 360 Radical MP can get close to that spec, but its rare to get such a polarized frame.
@joseppi4cinqua
@joseppi4cinqua 11 месяцев назад
@@TennCom I tried with a speed team, the issue was the power rating. It’s like a 700 on the head scale thing. I want like a 400. The spec I’m trying to achieve is Sinners spec but subtracting like 6 sw points and about 4 static weight points. Not too concerned on balance as his balance is 33.3 which is basically 0pts headlight. The Tgt301.4 is nonexistent. I saw one for $1400 😂
@TennCom
@TennCom 11 месяцев назад
@@joseppi4cinqua power rating doesn't mean that much. They just use it as a guideline. Especially with the larger CPI's, they are just marketed as powerful for lower level players. I think the Radical Team still has a thinnish beam.
