Hey Mike, that was some wonderful coverage from the auction! It kind of got me thinking, after seeing you purchase two different connection type buckets for the 120 & 210, is it possible to replace/exchange out the 120 coupler to use the same standard coupler on the 210? The reason I ask is, the savings would be fantastic. You could have a line up of small to large buckets, all in the 80mm line without having to purchase two different types of buckets (I'm not saying, do it just to run a 60in bucket on the 120 and watch it struggle. More of a grab and go thing without worrying you forgot the right bucket). Of course, when your ready to depart ways with the 120, you exchange out the new coupler back to the original, so it uses the standard size for the new owner!

We use those rubber tired rollers for chip seal. Two of them, you can hold a roller race now. Son vs daughter loser does the dishes 😄. We have a Hyster and a Volvo both of them are newer than what you bought. We road ours to the job site instead of trailering them (amazing what gov't can get away with haha). You will be surprised, those things will move. Ours will top 25mph.

Buy a regular rubber tire front drum roller. So you can use it for everything

10:30 I wander if the bidders for that machine were dairy guys out there in Cali. They put up a lot of silage in big pits. that thing would be perfect for doing those giant pits they use

Nice to have a real buddy like Clint to do all the logistics. Hyster was good equipment back then, I don't think those rollers are bad at all,.. certainly will do the job you needed it for., with a bit of TLC service first. :)

Large compactors are normally hauled on beam lowboy trailers via the frame. Never seen one on deck lowboy.

It's always fun at a auction. You guys make it real fun. High prices and people going crazy with their money.

My last experience at auction, they had guys in the crowd who would bid up the item and spoil your chance of buying. I had a guy chase me back to the car because I suddenly realized what they were doing, turned and walked away from a beautiful trick riding saddle after waiting most of the day. And that my friends was my LAST auction! Maybe that happened with that special dozer that went for $150,000? Ridiculous! You got some bargains and had lots of fun in the sun. Now GIT back to work! "Indiana wants me...."

To you it's just a trash compactor but to the landfill it's the center piece of their operation

Some of those buckets had bigger holes than the blue jeans pants I wore as a kid. Mom was constantly having to add patches over the holes in the knees. I'm sure you will have a job sometime in the future that will require the rollers service.

I just priced a 500 gal water tank at $700, so the 2nd one cost you an extra $500 for a tank and spare parts for the 1st.

Mike, you said you would like an engine for parts, but if you had got a non-runner you and Arron could have rebuilt it and do a swap and then over time rebuilt the one you took ot and never had to worry about not having a truck, with prices rising parts will continue to rise as well as engines

The problem with auctions is they always have something you never need, but you just really want to have it. I am also surprised by how much that trash compactor went for, considering the environment they operate in and a lot of times they are never inside even for service.

Would be nice to have one or two spare engines, one being drop in ready while the other probably for parts if needed or working on to maybe wring a little more oomph out of it. As for rubber tire rollers, it's hard to pin down why those seem to go for their weight in platinum in one place but in others can just about be a cracker Jack prize that many will try to sneak as a surprise addition to something else. That back sieve hoe looked more like it would work more as a kinda fancy and awkward counter weight. Replace the bucket with a steel box of cast in lead. Have a weight that can swing side to side, reach longer to bump the leverage up. Use as a drag incline brace with a set of wheels or a wide skid. Bearing in mind that if the scoop is that holey then the packing on the rams is probably a suggestion at best.

Now we can have roller races on the track!

Great buy on the two rollers.. just an idea as you plan to use them on the race track, I think it would make a good video if you got Gunner involved getting them serviced and up to scratch then you could have one each..🤔🤔
