Great job, one of my favorite later Eagles songs. Joe Walsh is playing a Hammond B3 on the record; he also plays it on the album titled track, "The Long Run."
Two vintage synths! The lower one is an Ensoniq KS 32 and the upper is a Korg M1. Did most of it on the lower one if my memory serves me correctly. If I did any strings it was on the Korg. Thanks 4 checking it out!
I never really did whole chords on the strings, mostly a B single note above middle C on the intro, maybe hearing an octave coming in, and I hear it dropping to A when the verse starts. On the pre-chorus Bm chord, I hear the same B note, then maybe the A and B together on the A/B, then G and B on the G maj 7? Same B and A on the chorus as they fit the chords, going to a Bb on that F# major chord? I'll check this for accuracy, might have to do another video!
I am going to keep it real, you did not do a good job teaching this classic song. I will have to rely on my ear to learn how to play it. I know you meant well. I will charge it to your head and not to your heart. 3/31/2021
