check out scp 3812 the voice behind us, and scp 001 does the black moon howl? i dont want to call out the author for copying them but it really feels like he just copied them (specially 3812 with the explanation of the narratives on top of each other)

There have always been thoughts about fictional universes just being alternate ones, so stacking them isn’t so far-fetched, really. Plus this story is probably just inspired by it. The concept is vague enough for use.

@@yellowfootproductions8835 alternate timelines/ fictional universes? sure dc and marvel does it all the time. even the concept of higher entities that can interact with you but you cant interact with them. but the concept of stacking them in itself/having layers, specially the terms that he used "narratives" and "supercedes everything/ or supercedes itself" those are literal phrases taken from 3812. Im not saying 3812 is the original /first story and should be elevated but cmon man, its painfully obvious (unless this story was posted before 3812, then 3812 copied). Its not even flavor of the month theme (i moved to an apartment/job/hospital and there are rules etc)

I.. guess I'm in the minority here? I felt like this story started really strong and fell flat. There wasn't any form of resolution. The void devouring realities was the main narrative conflict, but the final chapter does nothing to resolve it. The chapter in hell didn't even do anything to further the overarching plot. I mean I get that Auren says it has to always exist, but... then what was the point from a storytelling perspective? It just felt like a sanctimonious self-aggrandization about how he's god at the end there. It was such a jarring narrative pivot. It felt like the Author wanted to use Auren as a narrative vehicle to explore several different stories they wanted to write, but didn't know how to neatly tie his story up at the end. MCP's narration was solid as always, I'm not criticizing that, I'm criticizing the writing.

I was referencing a horror manga by Junji Ito called “Hellstar Remina” though, where this scientist discovers a star sized living planet that is barreling through the solar system on its way to yeet the earth, and names it after his 16 year old J-Pop star daughter, Remina. Cool story but the ending dosent make sense as it cant, its a paradox of its own story. It implies the end is a living thing that moves and has mass yet was created as a basically a gaint mass of white out for a page. The Arthur implies it must exist because he willed it so in his story, piss poor writer if he cant come up with a better ending then "and they all was eaten by a mass of ink i dropped onto the page the end". Its like he never of a continuous ending or has any experience writing a saga let alone existence. Story was great i absolutely loved the story and its definitely a good story when you can imagine the main protagonist as a real being who is also incompetent. Its surprisingly hard to write a story where the protagonist is written as a moron not because hes stupid but because he lack imagination of his own abilities. He can infinity create but he lacks the imagination to create infinitely using contents that write themselves. Take starwars, George didnt have to expand the universe as the way it layed it can write itself, in the imagination of others, the main protagonist created beings with imagination so theoretically he could have easily have written them to continue their narrative.

Why is part 4 the 5th dimension and part 5 the 4th dimension? Is that intentional? It doesn't make much narrative sense as in part 4 the 5th dimension Oren mentions Alex from part 5 the 4th dimension, who we didn't know.

Wat a perfect way to ruin an ending . I'm getting so tired of these , "oh it turns out that I was God after all" endings . An ending where someone is just making stories like a kid drawing on a blank piece of paper without meaning or purpose . As soon as I got to the part where he said he upgraded his suit and traveled above the narratives , I knew it was going downhill from there

Saw this before it even got to the story starting it's now I hope I fall asleep before that twist gets here. I have this kind of philosophical theory as a writer that when you engage and storytelling, your kind of consciously engaging in a form of narcissism because you have control of everything in this little universe you're creating... And that's okay as long as you can keep it constrained to your art... But man nobody likes Superman

@@nivision Well I agree that a writer can be as open minded as they want since they are creating the story after all , so creating a character that has a power similar to God is understandable , but making it seem like he is God is just a let down in my opinion

This type of ending shares a lot of the disappointment factor with what I'd call "Unavailable author" endings. Stories where the author's death or dissapearance are retold in story by the author, but could not have physically happened that way for what we see. Different from the "Something is behind me as I type this" ending. This type of ending and the Unavailable Author ending both leave bad tastes in my mouth because they seem to be trying to raise the stakes, but push beyond my suspension of disbelief
