In this episode of MOVING DIFFERENTLY we spent a whole week in different parts of Spain! I played at the oldest club in Ibiza, got chased back to the hotel by Hypefam, gave a teaser of a new track i'm working on, cancelled a show at a famous club and then got SO SICK i had to stay in bed!

Note: James is not talking about the "classic" djm v10 mixer. Pioneer has another version called the "djm v10-lf" with literally NO crossfader & literally HUGE volume faders like he mentioned. I watched a few guys use one last weekend pretty closely in downtown Vegas. I can see it’s advantages and disadvantages. Tbh, moving from a nxs to a v10 is not that much different beyond there being no crossfader. The fx section is much more involved but once you find the relevant effects and realize the actuation isn’t much different it can be done. But, and this is a big but, James needs specific equipment to do what he does because he requires efficiency. Every second of having to think twice can ruin an entire set for him. I would not, in his position, put myself in that place. Hopefully fans understand.

I've had problems with CDJ3000s everytime too. Especially on songs that I had hot cues saved on, they won't load at all. And since using my USB on 3000s, my songs that had hot cues saved, now show up blank in rekordbox with no waveform data at all, loads of blank songs that I had previously analysed. Even when I go back to CDJ2000s they won't load anymore. Was so excited for the 3000s & they proper messed my USB up 😤

OK.. Cafe Mambo fucked up. it happens!.. But I think as a booked/pro DJ you should know how to DJ on CDJ3000 and aV10... even as a back up. Maybe prepare a set for this circumstance and grab some other equipment etc?. I could be wrong but I dont think any DJ of James level can and would travel with their own equipment, too much movement. James is literally in a venue for his set and then heads to the airport to another city for another show/festival. Clubs that he play's in always have their own equipment or the promoter arranges the spec to the rider. Seems like a failure on the venue/bookers part but there famous and couldn't care less.

no way, DJs at his level dont travel with their own equipment., its logistically impossible. All DJs have a technical rider thats part of their contract, the venue/promoter etc is responsible for supplying whats on the rider
