I've thought about making a diy miller table using a 1000 grit piece of we dry sand paper

Thanks for the tip. I have a Black Magic table where the media is some kinda foam that needs like 20 min of soaking before I can run anything over it. Plan to remove it and recoat with chalkboard paint.

I had this discovery years ago. Been using it ever since $$$. Pro Tip to include - add a nice little drum tap with your fingers to the side of the Miller Table 😉 you can start and stop that drumming beat as you see fit.

Yeah that makes a whole lot of sense just like your gold pan you scratch it up so all the really fine gold gets trapped good job Chris maybe get a laser pointer to point at the little gold as always from America thank you for a good video and I hope someday you will have a video of finding the motherload scratch all your dogs behind the ears for me

I'm almost ready to buy a miller table. It looks like you can get the gold so much cleaner than panning.

Awesome video here Chris. Very nice job recovering ultra fine gold from your tailings. And definitely a good idea using sandpaper to season the bed of your miller table. I have seen videos where shaker tables are being used for nearly the same process to recovery fine gold. But the shaker tables are made with grooves on their beds. Lol

~Your -50 mesh concentrates from Reedy Creek put on a 60 grit sand paper sanded miller table surface, thus the result is -50 mesh gold recovered. ~What happens when a 1/4 gram of fine flour -50 mesh gold is put on a person's tongue and it is washed down with beer.? 😅😃

That’s what this channel was supposed to be about nice bit of spud there sir of course if you wanted to save time and had the right equipment you could just roast your black sands for 45 (or until they stop smoking and turn red or earthy colored) min at 700-1000 degrees Fahrenheit or 371 - 537 degrees Celsius and then smelt the gold out of them into a button I know you like playing with fire…. Lol thanks for sharing the spud engineering see you on the next one👍🏼👊🏼

Do you sand back-and-forth parallel to your water outlet, round-and-round - or how? That may be a critical detail for us! Also... How do you do it with pan seasoning - with what grit? Did I miss that video? Would be fun also to see what was caught lower on the table in the other grits.... Thanks! Great fan! You da man!
@josephwilliamson6878
@josephwilliamson6878 Год назад
I would say side to side parallel to the water outlet. As for seasoning the pan, 60 to 100 grit should do just fine. After a few dozen pans the rocks and sand will do the rest of the work to keep a plastic pan seasoned
