I lied, cheated, committed acts of prideful violence, along with being a horrible drug addict my addiction and alcohol took me to some dark places but when I found a Mosque by accident riding a bus I walked in and found a Quran sitting out the one english one out of all Arabic and I was spoken to about Islam I accepted Allah the one true God and now I am sober fixing things with my kids and listening to this Allah Akbar 8 years off heroin

Assalamualaikum. I am a born Muslim but was not a practicing continuously. I used to prayer regularly in my childhood but started to go away from the path of Allah. I started having a relationship with a girl. (Astagfirullah) But Allah SWT the most generous and forgiving became my guide and guided me towards the path of purity. Within 2 months I left everything, I started learning my deen. At that time I truly realised that who is Allah SWT. I realised that there is no one who will love you more than Allah SWT. So I stopped running for this world's love and decided to run towards Allah SWT for his love and care. I have just started my journey towards the Allah SWT. May Allah guide us all to Jannah. Please make dua for me brothers and sisters in Islam.

I think Allah has used this video to communicate to me. After reverting to Islam I became a bit overwhelmed (my fault of course) and became exasperated and went back to my old life and sins for 2 months. Having returned to Allah I have had tremendous, sickening guilt bc I know that once you say the shahadah your past sins are wiped clean, and I can never get back to that precious moment. SubhanAllah!! I just went through this!!! Sins can draw you into dispair and depression. Everyone kept telling me I need to forgive myself but no one ever told me that first I have to APOLOGIZE TO MYSELF!! Out loud apologize to myself for punishing me. For thinking I didn’t deserve Allah’s forgiveness and blessings, for allowing myself to dispair and give up the fight… I apologized to my limbs for making them commit those sins… I have been punishing myself for all of these decades and I felt I didn’t deserve forgiveness! But if my victims and Allah can forgive me I should too. But He only showed me this After I lost my wife and my kids and almost my life… Don’t dispair my beloveds… Allah gives us a way out.. Apologize to yourself and make amends to yourself with Quran, prayer and being around the believers. May Allah accept our sins and repentance and never let us go.

True forgiveness is being able to embrace your aspect of self that did harm and understand our weakness behind the harm. Our kindness has to find a way to exceed the level of judgment we have towards our weakness. If it wasn't for the harm we have done how would we have an opportunity to go threw hating our selves only to find a way to real to love.

It's important to know it can happen due to health issues, I remember once I wasn't being able to forgive myself even after constantly reminding myself Allah is most forgiving, it was because I was going through hypoglycemia and that tremendous amount of anxiety doesn't allow you to move on and believe in Allah's mercy
