I Caught an UNEXPECTED Species in This Micro Creek! (Tenkara Fly Fishing) 

I don't even watch your videos for the fish, I watch them for the beautiful scenery. You always seem to find the most beautiful places to fish.

I like it when you make a point of returning a fish to the pool you caught it from. Not everyone would do that. 👍

The sort of creek that is perfectly suited for tenkara…and the feeding fish were a real bonus. Nice multi-species habitat, I’m sure those tigers were a big surprise. Thanks for sharing your experience in such a beautiful place!

In the years I have fished Utah waters, I've still never hooked into a tiger. Tons of rainbows and cutthroats, and even some browns, and a tiny handful of brookies. But never a tiger.

How fun. Some of the most surprising fishing for me has been on tiny creeks you wouldn’t expect to hold fish. I caught 10 rainbows including a 10” on a 20yd section of tiny creek in Idaho next to a remote forest road. That was some of the most fun I’ve ever had using a Tenkara rod.

Question do you think Tenkara will ever be accepted in America? It's been so many years since I bought my first Tenkara rod in 2009 and I almost never see anyone else out fishing Tenkara.

Be careful where there are lots of berry bushes. Birds like berries. Rattle snakes like birds.

Rainbow trout and brook char can also hybrid and are known as cheetah trout. There is a chance that if browns are absent, then the hybrids may have been cheetahs. Thoughts?

Enjoyed the video. Just began trying tenkara fishing this spring. Our local streams mainly have bass and bluegill (in Ohio). Any recommendations for fly? Hoping to get out to some other locations soon. Thank you for sharing.

Maybe there are Brown Trout in the lake that spawn in the creek?

Difficult little creek. Skinny fish, hard fish lives.

A Tiger Trout that small must be naturally-occurring. They don't stock them that small, and they certainly don't stock that particular creek.

Just an FYI, RU-vid keeps unsubscribing me from your channel. This seems to happen all the time, and on lots of my subscriptions. im watching you shoe away the nats around your face, i see its early aug, prime time for the mosquitos and nats, next time for you and others , place a lavender dryer sheet in the netting under your hat and on in the belt loops to stop them from wanting to eat you, for you face or exposed hands and anything exposed , ( not covered) purchase non scented lotion, and put either , lavender, peppermint, tea tree, eucalyptus, rosemary, etc, , , essentical oil in the lotion , to protect your face and other parts of the body, PLEASE FIRST TEST THE OPEN FACES OF THE BODY TO MAKE SURE YOUR ALLERGIC TO IT OR BLISTER OUT,! CEDARWOOD IS THE BEST FOR ALL PEOPLE , BUT FOR SOME PEOPLE CEDARWOOD BURNS THE SKIN, SO THAT WHY IM TELLING YOU AND OTHERS TO TEST IT FIRST, . LAVENDER IS THE CALMEST OF THE BUNCH. TO NOTE , WHEN CAMPING I HAVE POTTED CEDARWOOD PLANTS WITH ME T THE CAMPSITE, WATER THE FIRST DAY, AND YOUR AREA WILL BE MOSQUITOS AND NATS FREE, in camping i take 1 potted plant, to repell snakes from the area, ,marigold, lemongrass mother-in-law- tongue garlic works great, snake roots basil, and yellow alder, .any of these can be taken with you at or near your campsite .

I don't know if you've done a catch and cook video. I know I'd appreciate a nice trout dinner after a day of hiking in the wild.
