Same. I started cheering when the rx-78 came on screen, I shut up immediately cuz I'm in a theater... But like half the theater was with me. Gundam fans low-key everywhere.
This is probably the only time we see a what would look like to have a Live Action Gundam movie and the producers just killed it with the Rx 78-2 Gundam Model🔥
@@lightningmi when the samurai character mentionned " i choose the form of Gundam" i went...huh? No way! Then when he finished his morphing I screamed so loud it woke up my gf and daughter. It was around 1am. Hope there will be more in a sequel.
The appropriate response indeed. This movie is so rewarding for having experienced all the other prices of culture in it and the fundamentals scene was just like a crescendo of all of it
I always remember in the book that it was OG Ultraman V Mecha-Godzilla. But this was a pretty good one too! Makes me wonder what would’ve been if they had gotten the rights
The excitement was audible in the theatre when I watched this. That because some of the people watching (older ones) are probably unfamiliar with the more modern IPs and would not get the references. But everyone gets Gundam.
Rewatch this movie for the second time after a few years and this scene still give goosebumps, shit was so badass, Daito is the man, he knows martial arts in real world too. This movie is masterpiece.
For every bad guy, there will be a good guy. They’ll never win. We’ll always answer the call. I never seen them succeed in anything, history repeats itself and they’ll never accomplish anything without a fight.
The fight would be over if he used the beam saber more or chose something stronger like the Unicorn. Also for some reason the gauntlet doesn’t provide the ranged weapon used by the Gundam
Let's imagine if he'd chosen Golion Voltron... - 5 giant lion mecha join together, fire off various skirmish weapons, then - *Blazing Sword abruptly ends Mechagodzilla* ...corporate douchebag cries and wets his pants ...movie wraps up immediately, theater crowd rejoices!
Wait if that arm can turn into any giant robot. What about kiryu? Who fit perfectly to face mecha gozilla. Who else think a giant monster that is iconic.
But the arm/ gauntlet has a timer of 1 minute to utilize the weapons, abilities and powers of a robot and it will revert you back to your original character once it's done
Lucas just Lucas I’m not mad. We all have opinions and I can see why you’d pick Unicorn for the fight. I’m thinking Barbatos is a better Gundam to use against Mecha-Godzilla because what it lacks in flashy weapons and abilities it more than makes up for with raw strength and agility, making it the most useful Gundam when not in zero-g environment. Plus all of Barbatos’s weapons have more weight to them compared to just having lasers and off brand light sabers. Which is no surprise since Barbatos is mostly a melee focused Gundam. But like I said, it’s just my opinion and I wouldn’t force it upon you.
