This is one of these haircuts that look great right after a salon visit, but for some people it’s almost impossible to style it properly without any professional help. When I had a bob and also a lob it took me at least one hour to style it „at home” and it always looked bad...

Aleksandra Grąbkowska Exactly, not to mention you have to be super careful to not burn the ends because then you have to be chopping it constantly so your hair will grow healthy

@@elsavillarreal7952 Yes, I totally agree with you. After two months my bobbed ends were almost completely damaged, because I'm very clumsy when it comes to styling my hair. It took me 4 years to grow it out (and my hair is just below my shoulders!), because I had to chop it constantly not to have damaged hair.

Agree. A month ago I cut off a time-consuming lob to a pixie bob and I love it. It looks polished with little effort and I've received tons of compliments.

Sarah Wart Yes, pixie cuts are great - unique and super-low maintenance. :) When I had a longish pixie I also had to style it, but it took me 5 minutes to style a pixie - and it took me 1 hour to style a bob (and also a lob). Maybe someday I’ll get a pixie cut again. :)

I was thinking of commenting the exact same sentiment! You are totally right. Thinning scissors also make your hair split earlier and it takes longer to grow the hair back again. You are constantly in the loop of cutting off the two new centimeters because they're split. Was cringing when I saw her cutting with those scissors. I also never understood why people say that long hair is high maintenance... I have less work with my long hair then when I had shorter. I just wash, leave it to dry, comb everyday, style without heating tools, gels, sprays. There's less need to control long hair than short hair. But the hairdressers have to make a living somehow, right. Total agree with your comment. Nothing against the girls in this video. They are both beautiful.

Short hair is much more work than long hair, long hair you never really have to style but short hair you constantly have to style to make it look right! Almost as much work as bangs

I may just have weird hair, but I´ve had all kinds of pixie cuts and currently sitting on a bob and I don´t have to style it most days if I don´t want to, only on the wash day. The only time styling it takes more than 10 minutes is when I want to curl it.

i have bangs and shoulder length hair and i almost never have to style it to make it look good, most days i don’t even have to straighten my bangs, but i know that’s unusual so i may have weird hair. anyways i love my cut so much and i really think it suits me

I thought it was the easiest thing ever. First, only took 5 min to style if I did since it was short. Secondly, just find your right product for those waves everyone wants. Cutting my hair short was the best decision ever. Saves me so much time too 🥰

@Sofia Mendes you're free to disagree but I personally like it better, we see her neck and face more and it's lighter for the shoulder area. Short hair will often makes someone look older but I think that's what she wanted - to look like a ''woman'' and it's about proportions as well, she got more volume with short hair which balances with her body nicely rather than long flat hair that could make her look shorter.

It looks kinda basic, like yah it looks good but doesn't reaally suit her If she added layers to her long hair and made it a bit shorter (also layers would make her hair appear shorter and puffier) it would look better And maybe add waves for definition and life

I cut 14 inches off about a week ago (also a long bob) and I have no regrets I feel elevated, chic and tall. The stylist asked what the reason was (probably assumed a breakup or another life changing event) and i told her i thought about it a long time and i think there is no better time/place thank now/here.

Im a hairstylist. I like pics bc it gives u an idea of what people want...short...not to short...layers..choppy layers...or more blunt. We as stylist have to explain texture or what your have will do or may not do. Pics are more inspiration because nobody's hair is the same as the other person. All hair is different!!
