I always feel so bad for the mice when their home gets taken away, along with all their babies 😢I have wild house mice that my cat brought home for me 🙄 so for me they’re like pets. Although one has escaped and is probably destroying my house as we speak 😤😏 little shit won’t go in the humane trap 😤

ok, but maybe give her help before so the kid doesn't have to go to foster care. i've volunteered with young adults who aged out of foster care and the conditions are so bad for them. One of my youth jumped backwards out of a window at his foster placement so he could become disabled because his worker told him that was the only way out of his placement. Virtually all of the youth were lgbtq and had been sexually and phsyically abused by their foster placements and were taken out of homes with loving parents who just were overwhelmed or poor and messy and they get sent into situations that are violent as "protection" sometimes in a whole other state. They also get taken in the middle of the night because there is less chance mom will run. The kids end up thinking they did something wrong or bad.

@@Rosaedorahow would you know if she wasn’t offered help before? You don’t let your house get in this kind of state with a sound mind. It’s not only the mess and unsanitary rooms, it’s mental health as well. You can’t let a child live on a dumpsite infested with vermin.

I was a foster parent believe me the system can be a b**** they return the kids to some of the worst parents and keep them away from the ones that really can do some good once they get straightened out I'm not a big fan of foster care that system needs to be torn down and rebuilt

yes, Barbie is a godsend, and an angel to help this woman, but CPS did the, absolutely, right thing. They are not the enemy here. Cleaning the apartment is just one step, the woman needs to get the help she needs so she does not continue to go down this road. I hope it all works out for her.

oh, and Barbie is a much braver person than I am. Mice are my achilles heel, I would have been out of there, screaming. Again, God Bless Barbie and what she does for people.

No CPS did not have to be called she could have simply went and helped her. This is why people are afraid to ask for help. Y'all are the problem. No child or adult should have to go through the situation nor do they want to be in the situation. They might have a medical problem or a mental illness going on y'all just make their life worse by taking their child away instead of helping them. Their child is the only thing keeping them going. Y'all are the reason why the world is so shity. I went through this as a child and I thought it was normal until I noticed that I wasn't the only one. Watching aurikatariina change my motive and I started making changes for us. Cps has been called so many times and every day I have trauma from it every day I freaked out from a knock on the door. Everyday I'm afraid to go out on my front porch because I feel like something is always wrong. Thanks to some stupid people like you and others kids like me that grow up have trauma now. I thank the Lord I did not get taken and I stood up. It made me a better person and made me hate the people that do call. By the name of Jesus I pray something happens to you

I went through this as a child. Thinking it was normal. CPS has been called so many times now thanks to you and other people I have trauma from anybody knocking on the door I'm afraid to go outside. I'm always thinking something is wrong. I'm always thinking somebody's going to call on something random. So watching her and other people gave me the courage to start helping others. But you and everybody else would rather ruin people's lives more. And you wonder why the world is s*itty. Y'all are the only problem in this world. So no CPS didn't have to be called. She could have simply went and helped her not knowing if she had some mental illness or some problems going on. I had long-term depression from it. Im 25 now and I still suffer to this day. It's time for you all to grow up and start helping people. Something needs to happen to you in that case

@@rachel3682your resentment is understandable, but environments like this are absolutely not safe for a child. If CPS removes a child, it’s usually for good reason. Yes it’s traumatic for everyone involved and it’s a horrible thing for a child to go through, but ultimately the responsibility lies with the parents. Mental illness is not their fault, but the consequences are their responsibility. You can argue that the way our society handles these situations should be different, but you can’t blame people trying to ensure a child is not physically in danger.

@@rachel3682 Instead of being mad at CPS and whomever called them, you ought to be mad at your parents for allowing the situation to become dire in the first place. And it was an ongoing problem if "CPS has been called so many times" that you now have PTSD from it. People tried and failed, apparently, to make your life better. You should thank them for caring enough to try, and then find a therapist to help you work through the anger.

Being lazy means you don't feel like doing something because you'd rather enjoy your time doing something else. There is no enjoying your time in a space like this. There is only feelings of utter guilt and hopelessness and wanting to do something but not knowing where to start. Depression is an illness that kills many people. You think they commit suicide because they're too lazy for life? Hell no!!

@@katiesmith1272 Well I'm studying to help struggling people so while I won't do it for free I will make it my life's purpose. You have fun judging people, I sincerely hope no one in your life ever has struggles of this kind because lord knows you wouldn't be supportive of them.

As someone who didn't have depression, but then developed episodic depression (depression that is brought on by a traumatic event in your life), I can safely say that you have no idea how debilitating depression can be. I didn't either until I got it. It's not that you don't see the problem around you, it's that your brain won't let you do something about it. I'd get up to do work or try to clean, and I couldn't. I'd get exhausted or something would set off anxiety and all the energy was sapped out of me. I couldn't even play video games because it took the energy I needed to go to work, feed myself, or just get out of bed. Don't get me wrong, I think it's impressive you are able to clean your place with the chronic pain you have. It's just that it's really hard to understand what depression does to you unless you've gone through it. I actually would get angry at myself for not getting up or sleeping for most of the day, and I had to give myself a lot of grace for what my brain was doing to me. Do what I could when I had a spurt of energy. I'm in remission now, thank god, but since then I try not to judge when I see someone struggling with depression because I know now just how much it takes out of you.

In this case, taking her child was helping her. I'm not saying the mom doesn't deserve to get her child back, but a child should not have to grow up in that. It repeats the cycle for the next generation.
