Great video! 🔥 Here's a Unity tip: you should avoid public variables because they can be accessed in every script which can cause confusion and bugs. *If you just want to make a variable modifiable in the inspector, you should make the variable private and add just before the declaration the attribute* [SerializeField].
This is awesome!! I love how you've taken the same "go with the flow" approach as Kratos into the realm of coding. Please make this into a series, it would be so cool to follow the progress!
Just a few tips on how to avoud the weird screen bugs: - In the Game View, change the aspect from "Free Aspect" to "Full HD (1920 x 1080)" at the top of the screen When creating a new Canvas, make sure to change a setting from "Constant Pixel Size" to "Scale With Screen Size" and then type in 1920 and 1080 in the respective boxes. I don't know what this setting is called, but you can find it in the inspector
To fix the UI scaling issues you have to put your canvas to „scale with screen size“ and then put a screen size. I recommend 1920x1080 after that to properly view your games UI you have to put your camera screen ratio to the same you put in the canvas (you will have to do that in the section „game“ where you test your game)
A better way to detect when the player hits the floor / a block is to do a short raycast from the base of the player and check if the ray hit any objects with the tag "solid" (or whatever you want to name the tag)

As a not native English speaker, it is a real battle with my phone's out correct function, as it remedially tries to change my words into ones that are native to my language. As this is really frustrating to me and I am not willing to take my time out of my day to bother with such insignificant endeavor, as this is just an idiotic small comment on a small video uploaded on the RU-vid platform. But I wanted to take my time to thank you, for being a such kind and loving person that you have enough time and kindness in you, to help a lost soul like me to fix his incompetent on typing out his words in a language I am not native to. But seriously, plz make this into a series (like kratos) and make like some goofy game modes or something like that, it's a shame it's only for windows but I'm sure you'll figure a way out to make it work for other platforms (I'm on Mac soooooo)
I started playing tridedash and theres a couple of things I would like to talk about, 1. there is no exit button when your playing the level so you pretty much gotta shut down your laptop 2. the triple spikes are horrible you have to jump on the right frame to jump over it.
Ideas: add icons, more levels, menu background, different level backgrounds, the creation button if you want to create a level, add the recent tab, add pads and orbs and ship game mode, difficulty faces, demons, secret coins, daily chest, add achievements, and Easter eggs

I have made a fully customizable GD Wallpaper with unity. Icons are moving around the screen and you can change the colors, backgrounds and all icons ofc
TIME.DELTATIME, that will solve your refreshrate bugs. Also with the canvas menu, the screen size scales depending on the display (either add a script to scale itor make the menu more in the center.)
Great, now all that is left is all of the other gamemodes, all pads and orbs, and finally, upside down and high/low speed gameplay, good luck with that!
Maybe you Should add a level creator at somepoint (I don't expect to be able to play other peoples levels tho cuz severs cost money) I beat it 25 attempts
this would look amazing if you made this into a series! adding more and more every episode until you recreated every gd feature (jk that would probably take more time than 2.2 being made)
I downloaded the file and opened the game. It was good but the only problem is that when you play the level, you cannot close the software until you complete the level. I had to unplug my PC and restart it to close it out. I would love to see a version where there is an exit button when you play the level. Also, I made some of my 3 spike jump but it killed me a lot of times because of the unsmooth movement. I would love to se a version with more levels and smoother gameplay.
