Well what I got from this video is that you absolute aliens are also human and struggle some times. Snowball effect in races is crazy. F up, try to push more, more errors, burn tires, the pressure, more errors... Extremely frustrating when it happens. Specially with +20 practice laps on your back. I personally always practice with race fuel, to get an idea of the car handling in race, tyre deg, etc. I care more about race consistency than raw quali result. The difference seems to be much more noticeable in proper sims like RF2 too. EDIT: Of course not forgetting to mention that I enjoyed the video Dave! That comeback was epic. This sim is on a whole another level.

This car is a challenge to drive although when it comes together it's quite rewarding. I enjoy managing the tires in the dry but I'm a little nervous about a wet race. All in all I'm looking forward to the rest of the Pcup season.

@davecam Would you be willing to make and post a walk-thru of sorts on how you have rFactor 2 setup - settings, mods, troubleshooting, etc.? I think there are a lot of us who are intimidated by just how terrible this Sim is after initial install and have no idea how to get it to the point that you and others have been able to accomplish. Hi Dave, loving the content. Been on ACC/LFM for while and toying with starting in iracing for some variety, you reckon iracing is still worth investing in or RF2 the way to go? Not the quickest but trying to improve ;-) had a dabble in a few rookie races on iracing. Just trying to decide weather to go all in or spend the money elsewhere. Cheers

It depends on what you want to run. LFM has GT3 on ACC and now the Porsche Cup on RF2 along with the BTCC so plenty of choice. I still like iracing for the variety 👍

RF2 has come a long way last few years. Just the UI needs to be worked on -- its like it was left behind in 2013. Would it be possible that you shared a screenshot of your graphic settings Dave? Would appreciate that a lot!

How do you find the handling compared to iRacing’s 992 Dave. RF2’s feels like it wants to kill you with understeer and then suddenly turn in without warning and try to swap ends under braking, then swap ends on exit as well. Tough to get used to and I find you have to be smooth and not overdrive it

Dave, question for you. I have an accuforce V1. it still seems to work fine. I know that at one point, you had also an Accuforce V1. Is that still a good wheel or should I consider upgrading to something else?

It's a while since I owned one but I'd still say it's a good wheelbase however tech has moved on quite a bit. You'd notice a big jump moving to the likes of a Simucube I'd say 👍

I had such a love hate relationship with iRacings 992 but after it's updates and then racing this Porsche I can't go back to iRacing Pcup. RF2 has turned me into a sim snob.

I didn't really make many changes. Lowered the camber front and rear 3 clicks, disconnected the rear ARB, set the front to 1 (I think) and lowered the preassures a little. If I were to do it again I'd add some preload to the rear diff to try and stop the over rotation off throttle 👍

Rf2 is definitely cheaper but not as many options to race online 👍

RF2 is cheaper but the driver population is a lot lower than iRacing so it can be tough to get races. It's why I stick to iRacing.

If you're coming from Assetto Corsa you will probably like the way rfactor2 feels to drive, but if you want ease of access to online racing start with the Mazda cup in iRacing you will only need to buy a subscription to race it.

I don't get all the fuzz with MSG. They created a game that was a fail, but managed to make things possible for rF2 that seemed impossible a couple of years ago. Now they have a few exclusive licences that some YTers seem to be sad about while it's perfectly fine that some other publishers have exclusive licences aswell. Just MSG isn't allowed to have some because it has this wierd Stigma ... I judge things by how they are, and the progress and quality content delivered for rF2 in recent months speaks for itself. Maybe try it on your own and don't believe everything that is told on YT. EB told everyone that MSG is just creating mods for rF2 and people believe it for whatever reason. The effort put into rF2 and it's content is real and I think it needs to be acknowledged as for any other sim out there. ;)

Your appreciating skills have been dulled from playing that kids things, RC Flight and assorted other stuff. BeamNG chassis and suspension physics are based on real time, physical correctly calculated beam deformation theory. Given that, it's far away from a kids game and anyway, leave people having ther fun and keep a positive mindset. Cheers
