i know you're editing these videos much later than when you originally played so I hope your play actually improves later on because I don't see much of a change in play here since episode 1 except for a few hands.
on the TJs hand i’m trying to pile the money in OTF. One thing you didn’t mention is you not only have a FD and gut shot but you also have two overs that can likely be good and when the Q hits on the turn that is better for your range then your opponents and would put a lot of a pressure on a hand like J9 or 89. I just would have unloaded there with all that equity
forget how you played that Q9 hand, in what world do you check call all three streets with a boat there. when you showed he had J8 i was absolutely stunned 🤣
ATs is a clear raise preflop from any position except from sb/bb (although those 2 positions might be close). AA, I'd bet 3/4th pot on flop. Not checking turn. Yes, J9 got there. AJ got there. you're behind KQ/KT now. but you're missing a ton of value from flush draws, KJ, K9(?), QJ, AQ(?), JT. You have to get the thin value somewhere. Also it's unlikely you're going to get raised by a bluff hand since you have sets in your range and AJ for broadway. I'd just go 3 street for value here and ~20% of the time when called on river you lose to KQ/KT..
U need to think more about what ur opponents can have when u value bet. Use all the info from previous streets and construct a range. “What happens if…” type questions.
Playing $2-$5 with mandatory straddle for $10. I was in the button when I raised $60.Small blind 3 bet for $250, my big mistake was 4 betting for just $500 instead of going $700 or more.Villain called then flopped an Ace.
Whenever I call, I always make or wait for the other person to show. I have also made the dealer turn over the cards when they just muck without showing. I need all the info I can get
The straight vrs boat hand. I had one very similar. I flopped a straight. Had KTh. Opponent had QJ. Flop comes QJ9. I was for chips so I had cash in front of me. QJ was in the BB I was UTG. He leads out on the flop for $25. I raise to $100 putting a bill in. First dealer tells me I can’t play cash. I pull it back and say raise to $100. Then he says the action of putting the bill in, which they say wasn’t acceptable x hon counts as an oversized single call. So the action didn’t count but was binding. It was rather weird. I understand the oversized chip rule, which was an error on my part. But for them to say it’s not a legal action and then to also say it was binding. Kinda weird. Anyways. Dude catches a Jack on the turn and fills up. I knew he had a boat. Punt off my stack on tilt. Dude shows up with my chips. I say give them to 9 seat and bring me some more. Booked a win but i was a little annoyed for a couple orbits.
@@MagikarpPoker Yea. The money was live but the physical cash was not. This was in MN. We got some weird rules regarding poker. Like we have spread limit instead of no limit
Tread cautiously multiway because flopped flushes love to trap. So dont dismiss flushes just because the flop got checked through. Play a straight and below as if u were playing a 2nd pair on non-threatening boards. If its a heads up pot, one can worry less about a monotone flop.
Why do you play so friendly with people you know/acquaintances? You do know they’re there to take your money right? You live and you learn but seems like you’re not learning lol
