KK first hand I would have 3-bet higher since you had a raiser and a caller for that raise. 45 is more appropriate. QQ second hand, why would you be afraid of a random K? What sort of KX hands call on that flop? What "story" are you continuing? You do have a strong hand... 😅 A2 CC great bet sizing. 😊 AA 1022 is a really polarized flop. Either you or your opponent only has 2 outs. You can Cbet much smaller here. Even 25-30% pot is fine.

KJ hand you made quads, not a boat. Flop bet should be much bigger. Half pot at least. I feel you pick random amounts to bet. The turn you can actually min raise because it looks like a bad bluff. You also want more value out of all the dead draws. River, never show a J there. If you had a hand like K3 suited you can show the 3. Q8 DD, couldn't have played that hand worse 😂. But your commentary on your opponent greatly emphasizes why I warn you to stop judging and stereotyping people based on their looks. You quickly came to the conclusion this was some wizard when he turned out to be the complete opposite. Does Garrett Adelstein or Doug Polk look like "GTO wizard nerds"?

You aren't 3 betting large enough with the overpairs. The KK should have been at least 50. The 35 invited way too many callers. It is only 25 more for them to call. AA hand should have been 60 or 65. Trust me man, you will get a caller a lot of the time or pick up the 40 free dollars but you wont be playing 4 to 5 way pots with KK not knowing where you are at.

I recently played a 7 hour session and was running great all night in the black, that is up until I was dealt AQ and went to a flop heads up that was AQQ . Out of position I checked, he jammed and I snap it off only to realize he had AA and a bigger boat . When he flipped his cards I felt my soul being ripped from my body.

With pocket KK flopped top set. Guy shoved on turn. Board paired jacks on the river. He flipped over quads. Bad beats happen but just brush them off…..after losing your mind the rest of the night 😂

Believe it or not.... your vlog seems the most realistic as far as low stakes go (1/3). With the random run outs tht happen!! You played well.... I would not have folded in tht Q-8 spot, but I would have been crying the whole way

HELLO! Aeros Editor/fellow student here (also named josh)!, I decided to analyze how I would have played these hands as a form of practice along side with you. Would love to hear * @AeroPlaysPoker* thoughts as well!. *KK* : $35 is a fine 3-bet sizing, but given the table you can probably go bigger here. Something like $40-45. Being on the button, you can raise wider, as your pocket kings are more hidden due to a wider raising range and you have position. Strong hand and position? You're more inclined to play for stacks. $45 as last to act is fine, but I would consider going even smaller here. Quarter pot bet. Given the amount of light calls its pretty likely someone is sitting on J9 or J6, and those hands will hate just calling such a small raise. I would also fold KK here, no-one at 1/3 on a board like this 5-ways is semi bluffing with Q10, and even less likely check raising with like AJ, therefore you're pretty much always losing, especially given the sizing of their raise. *QQ* : $16 is a pretty big open, even with 1 limper behind. Id say $12 is more "normal" but given the amount of callers, this just might be your table. The C-bet on the flop is fine, lots of people will float with Ace highs or a single pair holding for that sizing. Good bet. the turn card is good for you, sure it downgrades you to second pair, but what hands that call the flop hold a king? None. K8 rarely calls a 16$ open and any naked Kings on the flop likely folded. You bet this turn anyway which is good, but I would actually size down, to give anyone holding an 8 a good price, and to cause anyone holding 68 to raise you right here. *A2* : I dont know if A2 is a "great" hand, as you can pretty much only flop the bottom of the wheel or the nut flush, but I think for how loose the table is, a call here is ok sometimes. Easy call on the flop. When you bink the turn, and your opponent checks, he is likely capped to a weak King, and while this board brings in the obvious front door, it also improves him to 2-pair, your bet is good, but I would size up to somewhere between 60-80% pot. 50% is too small, and your goal should be to make it hard for him to fold any bricks on the river. A 1/3rd pot size on the river is too small, you should be betting 50-70% pot here, a King will be put in a tough spot here, and is likely to call since the river was a brick. Also in the dream scenario that your opponent is on a smaller flush, you want to squeeze out as much value as possible. *AA:* on a flop like this, the board is so ridiculously dry that you should be checking back 100% of your range, much less open with a 50% bet. Given the preflop action, no-one has a 2, and the only likely hands that contain a 10 are J10 suited, 109 suited, or A10 because your table is loose. You should check here and let people catch up, especially since the only card you don't really want to see is a 10. *KJ:* A flop like this effectively commits you to the pot. 20$ is way too small, and because you hold the king, the only people who will ever call are people with weaker kings (which is almost no combos of hands), and flush draws. I would bet 80% to pot here, because your hand will almost never fold, if people are going to out -draw you, you might as well make them pay for it. When the Quads come in on the turn and your opponent bets tiny, you should be re-raising him . Hes effectively pricing his own hand, and it is way too cheap. A player with a pocket pair like 8s 9s or 10s will almost never fold in this spot, and they will rarely put you on a King now. Flat calling is a huge mistake, I would be 3-4xing his bet here, with the intention of shoving the river. Betting dark like you said is a huge mistake. This is a classic Hollywood then shove spot. The 5 is an amazing card for medium strength paired hands, and you easily could have got his entire stack. *Q8*: Your bet sizing here is $10, you have a pretty big sizing tell, I would fix that. Lets also ignore that this hand is not a playable hand. When your opponent leads into you, he over bets the pot. while he does end up calling your raise , i think your 3-bet is pretty bad, as it telegraphs basically the nuts, or sets. A call here keeps hands like AJ or A10 (more realistic hands youd have) in, and allows your opponent to continue barreling with weak shit. In most cases, people would probably fold here and you would lose out on value. turn sizing is still a bit small given how wet the board is, I would go pot. while the river does pair the board, a half pot shove is just not enough to fold. You effectively have the nuts, and lose to only 9s, as 10s and Js always get raised in low stakes games. Its a "if you got it, you got it" moment. Final thought on this hand. I got really upset when you showed. The amount of information you gave away is pretty crazy. Never show dude, dont know why you did that. *AK* I used to limp re-raise a lot, but I stopped doing this as I found i was only doing it with my strongest premiums, and so my cards were face up. If you dont have the balls to limp-reraise with bluffs, dont do it with your premiums either. This flop is terrible for you. The open shove screams strength and personally i think this is a pretty easy fold. Think about what COULD Call you pre-flop and how bad this board actually is for you. What do you beat? only KJ and JJ here, and is he has KJDD or a monster combo draw he still has a ton of equity against you. You lose to 10s, KQ, Q10, and arent doing that great against the nut flush draw. Protect your stack, its an annoying fold, but it is a fold. *A2:* Like you said, this is a punt, no notes here.

@@jonathansykes4986it’s not I agree, but given the stakes and the board they have very little bluffs here, folding is definitely an exploitative play and not theory optimal, at least this is my thought process

How can you, the editor, clearly see the Quads that we all see and comment on it here...but Magikarp is narrating the hand wrong and saying he has a full house not quads....like what happened here? Bad plays in poker sure, but not even knowing his own hand for the video? Make it make sense, this is mad amateur and I'm not talking about the poker

When holding Q8 on JT9 flop. Any set TT, 99, JJ would likely 4bet pre. So that leaves J6, T6 96. Not sure if manic is defending with random six’s. Folding face up is not advisable.

You don’t have top two holding KJ on a K4k flop. You have Tripps. And you don’t have a boat on a K4KK5 run out. You have the nuts “Quad”. There’s no reason to bet here, check to induce a bluff is a better option.

Should have check called KK and not led into 4 people if you were going to fold to a check raise. And folding that straight was crazy, it’s great play by him having boat blockers if he flopped two pair, maybe an overpair that counterfeited your two pair you flopped. Can’t fold there.

You should make a joke series where you play a guy whose bankroll keeps shrinking but it's because he eats expensive food after every session and blows it all. He just keeps winning hands but losing money and can't figure out what the problem is. It's just you analyzing winning hands and trying to identify errors then you cash out and buy caviar or something so you're always "in" for more than you're "out" which makes it a losing session. Big Negative Numbers on every title card. Names like "I hit every draw and STILL lost money???", "My opponent TILTS and I leave with nothing", and "I think I may have to quit poker" Maybe this idea is right for you, maybe you can pass the idea along to someone who it is right for. Just send me a link when it's released

It’s tough to play with scared money to start with. I always bet my over cards bigger than normal. That limits the bad calls with any cards. In 1/3 no limit people will not fold unless you make them that trash. I stopped limping with big hands years ago. If you play a weak ace and hit ether one most of the time you will be the sucker. If you don’t sit down with a 1000 dollars trying to make a living playing poker. 300-500 buy in is two hands a lot of time. That can’t survive the variances. I’m older and have played for 40 years. I purposely target younger player and scared money. It works. Whoever said stack size matters. Big stack = Mike Tyson just hard to deal with. True story. Truth is most of us know how to play poker. These big games on RU-vid make poker look glamorous. They have moneys and are mostly idiots. Folding a flopped straight is proof of everything I just said. I have a saying. I will bet your socks don’t match. For the price you would have to check your socks. Your welcome. Just call me dad. Lol. Good luck.

You’re relying too much on reads to guide your decision on the straight hand. Poker is a game of incomplete information. You’re getting 2.71 to 1 pot odds in this hand. You have to call $248 to win a pot of $920. ($672+your call of $248) $248/$920 is .27 so you have to be right on this call only 27% of the time. Bad fold.
