I've seen these growing pains time and time again in my 30+ years around motorsports. There's two outcomes here. Either you stand your ground and send a clear message that you won't accept it from ANYONE, or they walk all over you until you wash out. You stood your ground here, and I'm not saying get physical because that's a whole different can of worms to be opening, but being a pushover on that race track is the biggest mistake some people make. Respect is earned out there, not just given, if they don't respect you, you don't have any obligation to them whatsoever.

You did great! It’s good to let him know your not happy with his driving ability and maybe someone from his crew will back you up and tell him your right he sucks at driving. To bad the truck series didn’t go with the composite body’s because they can take a big hit and bounce right back. How did your brakes hold up because Martinsville is really hard on the brakes. It’s so nice that you have Chase there with you I really like him. He’s a great guy! It’s cool he likes to race also.
it's always a catch 22 when being a woman in a "man's" sport.. looking at what happened to Danica is a perfect example where it could all go wrong when she started standing up to drivers it only got significantly worse for her with drivers trying to take her out. which i find is complete bs and even though i wasn't really a fan of Danica's i still found it dumb that nascar just sat back and let all the bs happen while they profited off her being in the series.
They used up the body panels real good, but you stuck in there and got a top 20. Good job of keeping your cool. I really liked your “discussion” at the end. You showed restraint there too. Just keep plugging away and it’ll come to you.

I'd be interested in seeing if SHR can put together an Xfinity ride for her for a few races this year at shared event weekends where she has experience to see what she can do. The girl can drive (she drove the wheels off the mustang at Daytona in the 4 hour) and trucks are basically a demolition derby. Nice to see her starting to throw elbows though.
As much as I would love to see SHR put her on the track in Xfinity, I don't see it happening. Driving a sportscar on a road course is very different from driving an Xfinity car.... They are completely different types of cars. That's why you see drivers crossover from IMSA and SCCA Trans-Am series to NASCAR with no success at all. Dorsey Schroeder tried numerous times to cross over from SCCA Trans-Am series to NASCAR and was barely competitive, yet he was accomplished in the Trans-Am series and IMSA. Hailie, on the other hand, was very successful racing off-road trucks before moving to stock cars. That's where "dirt princess" came from. I do think she would do better with a top tier team like SHR, but I don't see them putting her in a car in the Xfinity series. At least not this season. I believe she is supposed to be racing in SRX again this year, so it's possible she could have a chance to maybe put the idea in Tony Stewart's mind to give her a shot.... DGR isn't a bad team, but they're still a second or third tier team. They're a great stepping stone for her to get seat time and learn, which is just as important as getting the first win.
@@superfly4670 kinda hard to actually do good in trucks on a 2nd/3rd tier team, couple that with the demolition derby style racing and I don't think we're seeing what she can really do.
@@superfly4670 "back in the day" it wasn't uncommon for drivers to skip the lower series and go straight into the Xfinity series from a late model division. The trucks drive very different from the ARCA and Xfinity series cars. The only thing you really learn running the trucks, is getting on and off pit road. Everything else has to be relearned in the Xfinity series.

Motorsports of all kinds is 90% frustration and 10% elation. You have no control over anything but yourself. I had a sprint car season where I flipped every single race always caught up in someone else's problem. It eats away at you. Keep at it and keep the sponsors happy.
