technically didn’t randomly find this family, this is the second time this family was featured, in another video where the granddaughter was boasting her grandma’s cooking and Max Fosh said “bet” one of my favorites
The fact you managed to adapt on the 2nd day so quckiler and with what a result. When you played Gerald his episode it brought a genuine tear to my eyes
Im fanboying about the fact that the paintball jungle they went to is within biking distance from me, i have been there for lots of memorable school parties. Very cool that Max took Gerald to what is a place of joy for me!
I think a lot of people from younger generations can learn from Gerald. He's a family man who enjoys the simplest things in life. The way he got so excited about seeing his wife even though it had been 2 days shows what true love looks like. And also Max finding the footage of The Generation Game was so kind and you could see how much it meant to Gerald.
this episode brought me to tears, it's so special that you can evidently see that the elderly never lose their adventurous spark, but life limits you at that age, I couldn't believe it when you said Gerald was 89, I would've thought maybe 70, he's so mobile and well spoken for 89 years old, incredible, and the fact that you were able to find footage that he's been looking for, for half a century, within a couple hours, is amazing, I salute you, words cannot describe how much something like that means to someone, I'm sure you found a way to get the footage to him so he can watch it as many times over as he likes, whether it be on a stick or a disk, seriously brilliant video, you're the best Max!
Yeah I mean they've most likely been working hard their entire life here Gerald has, and saved up money not only for his continued life, but to also do fun things. But life gets you down at that age now and bones are creaking, the flesh is slowly disintegrating, and your mind usually at least, starts to wear down. But they will most likely never forget what they WANTED to do when they were younger and working up so that they may do it later in their life.
@@sweeper4265 man shut up lil nerdy ass, lemme fix it for you real quick then. This episode brought me to tears. @@sweeper4265 Referring to me or OP? If you knew anything about English class you'd know that English is a fucked up language and that you can use commas almost however you want. Oh yeah, and words mean nothing, as you can *literally* change the definition of one if you make it popular enough.
This is the best thing I have seen for so long. I was chuckling away - I do like Max’s gentle silly humour. Gerald is clearly a lovely man - and such a good sport to enter into the spirit and play along. I didn’t see coming Max having got Gerald’s family to come along - it literally brought me to tears as it was unexpected, and So so lovely - to see the tender reality of him loving his family so Much and it being so recipricated. Family is so important . Spend your time with them whilst you can before It’s too late. Well done Max - another stunning video and in an unexpected way.
As someone whose grandparents died when they were really young, this brought a little tear to my eye. Thank you for giving this kind man such a nice couple of days Max. I'm sure he loved it.
The editors of this done an unbelievable job.. leaving the bits at the end with just the music to allow the family to have a private moment and the words spoken private is so considerate! While also enhancing the emotion. Loved it! Up the Jezza
All of Max's videos are amazing, but this one was something special. One of the least crazy ideas and probably one video not so expensive, but the smile in Gerald's face at the end is amazing to see.
This wasn't very silly at all! But it was incredibly moving and well put together. Gerald is an incredibly lively and inspirational person, especially for 89!
Funny detail: on the Amsterdam sign is a sticker just right above their heads saying "OPA", meaning grandfather. Great that you've been able to give Gerald such a wonderful experience Max, you really feel the bond!
Mate I'm gonna have to press charges for assault, you've hit me me right in the warm fuzzies with this one! So lovely, big hugs to Gerald and his family ❤
The fact you found that video meant so much to him. It was a moment of his life that he had always wanted to share with people, and you finally made that happen for him. Awesome. Also, what an epic guy to have with you on a stag do. Life and soul. X
Honestly it’s impressive how alert Gerald is for an 89 year old, my grandad is 84 and hasn’t been able to walk without a walking stick for 5+ years and even still his balance is off, but Gerald is 89 and doing it no problem.
I normally laugh all the time while watching Max videos but this one really got me and I cried at the end… It’s fantastic that Max gives Gerold the opportunity to do something like this and especially at that age..
I gotta say, this might just be your best video ever. I know it was all banter a good laugh, but I have a feeling Gerald is gonna remember this one for the rest of his days. Good on you Max!
Wow Max! I'm literally crying at this! Such a sweet thing you've done but especially the reveal of Gerald on that episode of The Generation Game - and sharing it all with his family! Such a thoughtful thing to have done. How beautiful for him to have it coming full circle for him.

This was beautiful and made me tear up. I do so miss my grandpa. Take care of your loved ones while you still have them people ❤😢
Max you've absolutely knocked it out of the park yet again, what you did for Gerald at the end by finding that video so he could show his family must have meant so so much to him ❤
Very sprightly and energetic for 89! What a beautiful character, you can sense the abundance of love in this family, it's enough to make a man weepy eyed. What a kind thing you did, Max, finding the episode and letting them enjoy it together. I hope that good things come to good people.
I saw the clickbait and clicked. Lord I did not expected to find a video full of values and human warmth. When this does not move you to tears what then?
One of the best videos. I can feel how happy he is with these old shots, because sometimes I do the same with my family, these are very valuable moments. Thanks, Max.
the way this video had me grinning the whole way through, such a sweet gesture and definitely memorable for life. This is the type of content i love to see lol
Aaaaaah Maxy boy you made me cry. Dude thats the sweetest thing iv seen this year. Not only did you give him a night of being young again but bringing his family over, getting the episode, the joy on his face and in his eyes just got me right in the feels... Really great work mate...
This was so wholesome and lovely I just smiled and laughed the whole time. That's beautiful to see someone having such a good time and just going out on a random adventure.
Max, this is so wholesome and cool. I'm sure by doing this, you've made his days so much better. And the fact that you manage to acquaire the Generation Game when he himself can't is amazing! This just shows how attentive Max Fosh is to the people around him and that's why I subscribe.
This was actually such a wholesome video. Nothing like the silly shenanigans I'm used to seeing on the channel, but it was so nice of you to do all of that for Gerald. He seems like a great guy and you gave him wonderful memories I'm sure.
Wow what a video! Loved every single bit. The man waited half of his life to find that episode... just for you to make his week, plus find that episode. This is one of the greatest RU-vid gems ever made
This was so heartwarming to watch, I really believe this is one of your best videos! Gerald is such an entertaining person and the atmosphere was fantastic the whole way through!
I was avoiding this video for a month, dang it, it's so wholesome, didn't expect to shed a tear in the end. You're awesome, max, Gerald is an absolute legend.
What an absolutely great video. From the idea of the stag do to then find the video he searched and to see Gerald's memories right in front of him is just amazing. Very well done max. 👏🏼
To about this 89 years of age most people and then to be able to experience a childhood thing he never did in his time. How alive thag makes a man feel like a can still take on the whole world. And then the episode a dear memory of him with his father what joy that bring a perosn. Max blessed this man and his family with so much kindness
