No worries…it’s what they call it. I go by their cultural references. After being prepared it’s actually sweet.

@@Unmad Yes but there are too types the one I buy at quick trip (sweet and ready to use it with peanut butter sandwich versus those ones can only be eaten after cooking them or frying (plantains) in Swahili ndizi mshale . I know Mic you know the difference this is just for sone people who will try this recipe here in America. Love yr humbleness, ❤️ yr family and thank you for being a good vibe.

United Arab Emirates was a fishing village for centuries until the discovery of oil . Saudi Arabia, persian gulf region etc was nomadic .

The southward movement of the Nilotic Luo(OBAMA,LUPITA NYONGO,JOSEPH KONY group) along the Nile and settlement in Kenya, Tanzania allowed engagement in river-lake fishing and agriculture farming like Millet etc . Also like other Nilotic groups they engaged in cattle keeping hence interactions with the Maasai, Kalenjin groups . The Luo groups in Kenya and Tanzania have at least 35-60 clans . The Luo group in Sudan, Egypt, DRC Congo, Chad, Central Africa Republic, Uganda, Ethiopia Gambella/Eritrea have at least 1000-2000 clans .

The Luo survived and spread out into at least 9-12 territories in the continent of Africa by having a mixed economy . River-lake Nilotes, Nilotic pastoralism and small scale subsistence agriculture . In modern times the same diversification approach works . The worldwide fishing economy is worth $400Billion .
