I nearly clicked off the video as soon as the asmr talking started, it creeps me out. However the comedy of it made it worth staying around, so IF he ever does another one, really lean into that - otherwise - i donno…
Wow, I never knew ASMR and comedy could go so well together! Your first attempt at combining the two was absolutely hilarious, and the tingles were a nice bonus. Your unique style and delivery had me laughing out loud and feeling relaxed at the same time. Keep up the great work and I can't wait to see what you come up with next!
I just wanna say I'm happy you didn't let the TKOR stuff keep you from continuing to make content. You're a cool person with a lot to offer so I'm glad you stuck it out.
I left as a viewer when Nate made the video of what happened with him and tkor, followed that channel for so many years and Nate was my last reason to stay
I missed what happened, but they stopped showing up for me, and Nates channel showed up so here I am lol, he was the best part of TKOR for me anyhow so I didnt bother looking for them again. Anyone mind spilling the tea?
This video looks like any time I try to make a recipe I find on youtube. Nothing goes right, and my internal monologue sounds a lot like your voiceover, but somehow the final product turns out okay. usually. or we order pizza for dinner.
This is hilarious. I would love to hear you give the ASMR treatment to many more mundane things in life like going shopping and taking out the trash :D
holy truck he did it. he found a way to be unique. comedy asmr. this man has been using ever trick in the book for virality and now he's nfti: comedy asmr guy. finally
It took me a moment to realize that you were the one narrating this video 😮. It’s crazy how your voice changed. I liked the style and would like to see more
If this wasn't meant to be as hilarious as it is, I'm glad it "failed". Love all your content, no matter what it is. Even if you end up succeeding in actual asmr 😂 We're here for it, whatever you do.
haha that fact that it's a bit silly adds a vibe to it that I actually would watch these. I also do not care for the usual ASMR video. this isn't the usual ASMR video, though :)
Three minutes in and it may be the funniest thing I've watched in months. . You sound like you're struggling to keep a straight face in the first few minutes. . A fabulous video as ever. Keep up the good work.
Oh man, a series of this would be incredible. Maybe next you could try making a soufflé, since it's supposed to be fiddly and there's a myth that you're supposed to stay quiet while it's baking or it'll deflate.
This is hands down my favorite NFTI video. The ASMR/Comedy aspect of it is brilliant. It doesn't matter what you cook, we need one of these at least every month. If not every 2 weeks. The regular content is top-notch. But this is a step above and beyond. You may have started an entirely new genre of ASMR on youtube.
I actually really do like 'traditional' cooking asmr. I think watching it is very calming and it makes me hungry at the same time. I've never gotten the mythical good tingles that you hear about. Oh, and yes mouth sounds are a thing, but i also cant stand them so thank you for nixing those. This was really funny and a couple of your sounds gave me the bad kind of shivers. I totally get that asmr isn't for everyone. And I really do appreciate that you're someone who's not into it but still can poke fun at it without talking down to it. Again this was funny and I like that you went with this food video. Its one of my favorites.
I sense a new series being born here -- "Another Night in Bad ASMR Cookery" -- truly, I needed a laugh tonight, and this delivered! Keep up the good work!
Some time back, I had to look up what ASMR meant, and despite being an "educated person" academically, I STILL don't get it!!!! 🤣❤️ But your video is absolutely hilarious and a fantastic parody!!!! 😄
And in my Absolutely Not Humble At All Opinion, the whole ASMR thing is desperately in need of being parodied far more often. I might even have to draft my podcasting daughter into doing one with me. Maybe an ASMR version of the infamous turkey roasting bit that ends with "Carefully move the flaming carcass from the oven, douse it with the garden hose and artfully arrange the entire pan in the big black trash bin, and then make desperate calls around all over town until you find a caterer with a complete turkey package that they can deliver in an hour. Set out three pitchers of margaritas so that by the time the turkey arrives, you're under the table and nobody else really cares about the bird."
ever since the passing of grant the channel of the king of random is at a steady decline but you are bringing back the same feeling we got with grant and we thank you for that
This was absolutely amazing!!! I really do not like asmr. However, I would subscribe to a comedy asmr channel in a heartbeat! Please do more of these, even if you have to start a second channel, haha. For real, though, I love your channel. Keep up the amazing work!
This reminds me of the good old days when you where at TKOR and when the content was just as interesting as it was random. Glad you started making your own content.
it's almost like a Cooking channel X'd over with a Bob Ross painting Show. I Just chuckeled through the whole thing. Thanks Nate for the good laugh at the end of my night.
Thank you for clearing this up, Nate. I had a feeling that ASMR was not for me. You've both confirmed my suspicion and made it much more bearable by making it funny, which the other comments confirm isn't typical of the style. That being said, I'm good if you don't do another of these. :) Your usual style and enthusiasm is great.
This is by far the best ASMR video I've ever seen. Very funny! Please do more! Maybe with something frying. Lots of good sounds and opportunities for funny screwups...
Nate, this was wicked chill man. You have a good kind of down-to-earth style of commentary. Cook whatever you're interested in. Sushi? Idk, appreciate you dude
Many people who make cooking videos in RU-vid and especially Tiktok care about how food looks more than how it tastes because these videos gain more views.
I generally hate ASMR and skip right over it, but your VO was spectacular. So thank you for making an ASMR video that I enjoyed (and laughed a little).
Yes you over cooked it an the fat has started to separate, if you added more water/milk again in that point it should become creamy again. I had that one time making sauce hollandaise
@Natefromtheinternet Can you do a video of solar ovens, explain the science of it showing the temperatures, how to make the best inexpensive diy solar oven, cook different foods with it and taste test them?
Similar experience to my first chocolate truffles. If your condensed milk loses too much water, you make too hard and sticky truffles. Meanwhile, you can make entry level truffles with even sugared milk. Although it's not giving the best result, it still gives a truffle. I guess we need to find the best condensed milk thickness to have the best results.
I don’t care for ASMR style videos. However your style of tongue-in-cheek delivery and amazing voiceover makes me want more; cooking, welding, sanding, ever try sewing? Regardless of what you try out, it definitely needs more cocoa.
