A fallen Space Wolf Legion makes for a great idea cause of the 13 companies, 8 falling, 4 getting wiped out and cleansed and the 13th escaping and staying loyall
@@WardenOfTerrawell the entire point of the dornian heresy is flipping everything on its head, the most loyal to the emperor turning traitor, and the previously least loyal staying by the emperor, but as a whole the allegiance of the soldier was decided by their loyalty to their primarch particularly, so if russ fell, he'd take his personal group first and foremost
@@TaCo0oCaT Russ picked his honor guard also due to their individuality, as as the Dornian heresy basically has the Space Wolves fall to Khorne more like the Death Guard to nurgle through desperation then the 13th could be like Typhus and "betray" their Primarch.
I saw a daemon prince conversion that used an ogroid and contemptor Dreadnought parts to create a daemon prince that looked like he had mutated out of his Dreadnought armour. That would be a really cool starting point for Bjorn I think
Ragemar Bloodmane - I imagine he would be less a Daemon prince and more like Khârn the Betrayer with his current leaping pose looking half wulfen/half eightbound. Too young and proud, no matter how much blood and skulls he gives to the throne, khorne rebukes him just to make Ragemar angrier. Or could base him on Radukar the Beast? He is the young pup out of all the wolf lords after all.
Gotta make a Bjorn the Fell-Handed - turned daemon prince! Gives an opportunity to distinguish it by figuring out what someone encased in a Dreadnought turning into daemon prince would result in.
Bjorn with parts of the Forgefiend and the Mindstealer Sphinx would look cool as maybe a Khorne Prophet with kneeling cultists around him hearing his tales of the Dornian Heresy
Bjorn the fell handed as a demon prince hellbrute would be awesome. The more mechanical nature of a hellbrute as a base would differentiate himb from the other presumably mostly fleshy demon princes
Awesome! I’ve always imagined a corrupted space wolves legion would embrace their wolfen gene flaw and they’d be a legion of chaos werewolves. But now that I think about it, Khorn does seem to bless his chosen with his own image. Awesome conversion!
This is a really brilliant idea, and I’m really excited to see what else you do as part of it. A corrupted Bjorn would also be interesting to see, although whether he’d be a Daemon Prince, Dreadnought, or some mix of the two is a difficult choice.
I’d love to see a bjön the fell handed conversation , not necessarily make him a chaos dreadnought ( forget the specific name my apologies) but maybe make him a deamon prince with dreadnought amputations to hint to the cannon .Ultimately I don’t mind and I lack the knowledge of Bjöns’ character in the DH so any conversation would be fun
This is without a doubt the craziest but COOLEST idea you have had so far! I can't wait to see the other daemon princes, and which Space Wolves characters you will pick to fill the ranks. My suggestion for a daemon prince would be a Ragnar Blackmane. He is one of my favourite characters in all of 40k! Hope to see you embody him in the name of Khorne!
Njal Stormcaller is far and away my favourite Space Wolf character, I'm excited to see what you do with him. His runed armour is iconic, so I think it would look really interesting to see that runic design on the demons flesh directly. Since he gets his familar Nightwing from saving the life of an Iron Priest, it would be easy to see an alternate world where he saves a Dark Mechanicus priest instead. I imagine the cyber-raven they make for him would be a lot more grotesque!
I'm curious how you intend to make Lukus the trickster as he doesn't really seem khornate in nature. Maybe deviating towards a more undivided style may suit him better. I remember in the novel he actually seemed very self indulging by nature and unpredictable in combat tactics.
Bjorn as a corrupted Dreadnought of Khorne could be an amazingly fun project to do, and Lukas the Trickster but more as a Tzeentch hero which ironically is perfect since the Wolves had cleansed the Sons in the original Heresy timeline.

A Bjorn the fell handed daemon engine style prince could be great to see and allows for some variety amongst the eight. Somehow incorporating a thunderwolf would be cool too, maybe a centaur style daemon prince?
For some reason I view Lukas the trickster as a daemon prince of Tzeentch.....and it makes sense too considering he is sort of the odd one out of the space wolves and is known for pulling pranks on his own brothers and enemies
All current Space Wolf heroes (except Bjorn) are post-heresy recruits, which makes we wonder - in this alternate universe, has Fenris been pulled into the warp and reforged as a chaos world? Oceans of blood and snow of gore falling from the sky. But also, Njal Stormcaller was trained as a psyker by Rune Priest Heimdall, so in this universe, would he be a khorne witch hunter, maybe with a giant chainstaff or something.
Really looking forward to seeing more of these, I love what you're doing with this project! As much as I love the World Eaters, it always struck me as funny that the Space Wolves weren't the legion corrupted by Khorne. Even without chaos they're bloodthirsty, hate psykers, use lots of axes, so angry they literally turn feral, have mutations that turn them into clawed beasts... I guess the big difference is that they always got their way under Big E, so they had no reason to turn from him. World Eaters kinda got the short end of the stick from daddy
Absolutely love that you're continuing with this theme! The Space Wolves are certainly a great choice for this with how many Character models they have. Certainly one of them riding some sort of demonic wolf would be ace, perhaps Canis Wolfborn with his claws? Also congrats on the Displate sponsor, they're really cool and it's good to see you getting new sponsors! 👍
Awesome conversion! It could be cool to see some "counts as" daemonprinces based on the less orthodox characters. For example having Bjorn Fell-Hand, or Murderfang, as corrupted dreadnoughts/ hellbrutes (maybe utilising the plastic contemptor kit) to have more dynamic and monstrous helbrute daemonprinces. Alternatively, having a mutated Canis Wolfborn who has mutated into his wolf mount (Using dragon ogor as a base?). Regardless, Ulrik, Krom and Ragnar would all be very cool conversions, perhaps Radukar the Beast as a base for Ragnar. I think maintaining the different personalities of the characters would be very interesting in the models, by having Ulrik going more down the gladatorial/ proud path of Khorne (perhaps even beating the other daemon princes into line), Krom being a frothing nutjob, and Ragnar having a hunter's cunning type of vibe. Can't wait to see how you pull them all off.
Ulrik the Slayer would make an interesting build - the wolf skull helm becoming his face opens up some interesting possibilities, perhaps using the Vargskyr Vargheist as a base? Converting Radukar the Beast into a corrupted Ragnar Blackmane would also be pretty cool I reckon
This definitely gives me more insperation and courage to perhaps try out making a Renegade Space Wolves Warband, if I ever decide to get a third army, (it's a close call between Death Guard and CSM. CSM would either be Word Beares or my own said Warband of Renegade Viking Space Wolves)
Arjac is maybe my favorite and i cant imagine how you could interpret Foehammer or go in a completely different direction. Maybe bringing in other aspects of norse mythology and popculture? Surtur influence? I can imagine taking the Sigmar giant, trogoth hammer, and some chaos knight bits to make a khorne fire giant Arjac. Lean into the fires and forge and a twist on the Thor influence. An embarassment of riches. I cant wait to see the rest. Bjorn and Arjac are easily my other top favorites. I love the Lord Discordant model so not sure if that could be incorporated anywhere and wolf khorned up. Bjorn as something beyond just a demon engine would be cool.
Great job! I'm really fond of your conversions! Could you please make some more loyalist conversions for Dornian Heresy too? Like Emperor's Children or World Eaters loyalists in true (primaris) scale? I'd love to see your versions of loyalist primarchs or heroes (Kharn the Deathless?!)
Definitely interested to see the other wolfs. I feel like the Lord of Khorne on Juggernaut might be a good basis for Canis Wolfborn. Just wolf it up a little. Or a lot, really. And it might be interesting to incorporate Svane Vulfbad in some way, considering he's a canon example of a khornate Space Wolf.
Absolutely, I recall something in Dornian Heresy where their Space Wolves show up in the canon 40K galaxy and "fit in" as corrupted canon Space Wolves. The Thousand Sons following them were thoroughly freaked out.
The entire legion also fell during the Dornian Heresy. Russ was exposed to psykers or “Wyrds” as a young man and the experience tainted his opinion of Psykers to the point where he was hateful toward the Emperor after their first meeting, seeing him as a tyrant sorcerer who wanted to put the galaxy under his thrall. So, when the Emperor favored Magnus in the Council of Nikea, Russ took his wolves to Prospero and burned it. Khorne took the opportunity to corrupt the lot of them in the process, blessing them with immunity to psychic magic and transforming them into berserkers.
For more variety with wing poses in the future using the same kit, you could consider using the hot salt bending method! It worked wonders for coiling a trygon tail tighter to fit on a 60mm base for my slaaneshi snake daemon prince.
Radukar the Beast would make for an excellent base for a corrupted Blackmane. The Radukar's Court kit from Cursed City AOS also has this big wolf/vampire called a Vargskyr that would be a good option, though it's somewhat smaller than other daemon princes. Might be a good base for Njall, representing a sort of punishment for his sorcery to be turned to this sort of base, withered animal. Cut some runes into his flesh, etc.
I'm not sure which character it would be best for, maybe an Rune Priest like Njal Stormcaller or Torvald, but a chaos corrupted Penitent Engine with a modified Nemesis Dreadknight pilot should be a pretty close size match to a daemon prince and look quite distinct. The Penitent Engine would serve as a sort of eternal punishment (think extra big butcher's nails) for the psyker, which we know Khorne really hates.
Don't forget about Bjorn the fell handed he is a very iconic space wolf character as he is the oldest space wolf "alive" I mean he is contained in a dreadnought but during the heresy he was already well known
awesome video! a nice challenge will be to build troops that could be playable in both armies (world eaters and space wolves). I can think off a hellbrute/dreadnought... khorne berzerkers/greywolves
As a space wolves player this is a amazing kitbashes definitely feels like it's a Daemon grimnar I will say I think the axe should of been orange to make it easier to tell it's a Daemon grimnar and not just a space wolves daemon prince since the orange axe is so iconic to him but that's the only thing a solid 4.7/5 5/5 if the axe was orange just my opinion tho looking forward to the other conversation
Arjac as a mix of contemptor, space wolves dreadnought and hellbrute kits and something to elevate him. Big guy and was a iron priest before becoming a bodyguard
After finishing a group of Heretical Daemon princes, maybe you could make some Loyalist Night Lords characters to face off against them lead by your loyalist Konrad Curze! Would make for an awesome diorama set up.
