Can one person in the media ask him why he put his house on the market before the Seton Hall game + the ethics of that & why he would leave his hometown (+ lifetime contract) team for a 2 win in 2 year team? Can one person in the media investigate his family motivations for leaving or are we just content to accept his version of "facts"?

And if a white coach who coached at his hometown school and repeatedly stated it was his dream job and the only place he wanted to be then out of nowhere left for the rival program people would have the same energy they have for Ed. For some reason some people can't comprehend any factor besides 'Derrrr, it's cuz he's black' which is completely irrelevant to the entire situation.

Been a season ticket holder for 23 years, I seen Keno Davis coach, I have nothing but respect for Cooley. It was only a matter of time before he left. If you’re a true fan without hate in your heart you can’t shit on Cooley for everything he did for the city. Can’t wait for tonight’s URI game. Section 240 stand up

Ed the reason everyone is so pissed is bc your messaging while at providence was all about Prov being home and the only place you ever wanted to coach. All the while you were flirting with other jobs. It now comes off as a phony. Honestly sounds a lot like your marriage.

Georgetown just has so much history you can't turn a job like that down. There's a reason providence can't have any coach they want. Certain schools can get any coach they pretty much want. Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, UConn, north Carolina and a couple more

And ur somehow surprised? He did the same thing at Fairfield before providence. Everyone in providence bought his stuff hook line and sinker. He’s a college coach, (glorified car salesman) that’s all.
