Juan Gabriel, as a baby my mom said I wouldn’t fall asleep unless his record was playing. And to this day, I can’t fall asleep without music. Seeing him live was one of the greatest pleasures in life. I saw him 4 times, he always turned a 3 minute song into a 15 minute song by add libbing. My Mom actually met him back in the 70’s while working at a RCA plant in Cd. Juarez (he was friends with one of the receptionist), she always told me how handsome he was but most of all she’d always say he was like an angel. Soft voice, kind eyes and and even kinder heart. I never got to meet him, but I do miss him like he was family. ❤️

You need to know the lyrics to this! He is singing to someone ( a woman) who has betrayed him and has taken a lover on the side and how she´s going to pay for her actions. Sinaloense Banda is made up of brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments, very popular in northern Mexico. My mom is from Sinaloa so I grew up listening to Banda and she’s also a die hard Juan Gabriel fan so I grew up with his music. I love how he was humble enough to collaborate with other genres. He was improvising throughout the concert and even directing the Banda. Such a humble man during the concert he invited Mexican singer Chayito Valdez who was in the audience as a spectator to sing with him.
