At long last, our Indian Scout Rogue motorcycle review!
A massive thanks to Colin from Moore Speed Racing, who has very generously delivered this Indian (and others) for me to review! www.moorespeedracing.co.uk
In this video I go into how this cruiser motorcycle feels to ride; how it compares to a Harley-Davidson; the sound of the v twin engine (enhanced by the incredible Jekyll & Hyde valved exhaust system), the stopping power, acceleration, performance, handling and more...
Indian is becoming one of my favourite motorcycle brands; I can't wait to test out the whole range! Stay tuned for my video with the Indian Scout Bobber Custom! with suicide shifter! You will be amazed! We have been waiting 4 years to get the Indian brand onboard, and finally they are with us!

The Indian's are lighter motorcycles than the Harley's. I was surprised how light they felt compared to my Harley. But overall I do think the Harley's are more solid. I would like to see a comparison side by side with your Harley and the Indian Scout Rogue. 😀👍

@MaaZeus

@@johnnyboy1586 He is correct. Scout is a 100hp bike thanks to the more modern style water cooled engine. Indian Chief is more comparable to HD with its old school air cooled long stroke engine. Less hp but more torque down low.

Great review and lovely bike. I really like the styling of the rogue. I've got a scout bobber so I'm fairly biased. The sound of the j and h exhaust is great, I just couldn't afford the price tag so went for v and h instead, also a very nice sound. Can't wait to see that yellow custom as well. I'd definitely like to see a comparison with the Harley. As for the scout handling I do find it quite good in the turns, quickish to turn in given the type of bike but obviously the footpegs catch quite quickly given it's limited lean angle, but then it's not supposed to be a racer

Did a test ride on the Scout a couple of years ago. Decided it wasn't for me. Got me a new 2019 Harley Davidson Fatboy. Had higher bars (apehangers) installed and Vance and Hines slipons and a tune. Still extremely happy with it except for the high bars which make for awkward handling in tight corners. But the Scout Rogue looks nice as does this video.

Scouts come with the option between two engines. The one on the Rogue 60 there is a 999 cc engine pushing 78 hp and 88 nm torque @ 5800 rpm. The other option would be a 1133 cc engine pushing 100 hp and 97 nm torque @ 5900 rpm. Those are Indian specs for US motorcycles. UK bikes may be different.

Looks a cool bike. You're right it has a grunty sound. The light weight for a cruiser can be seen as an advantage with handling and speed. Though the heavier weight of the Harleys means they would be more planted on eg. motorway riding.

I have ridden my scout rogue for 24.000 kms after 1 year of ownership and overall I’d say I’m quite satisfied. Although the brakes are definitely quite shit and same goes for the shocks and the seat. First thing I changed was shocks and seat which cost me about 800 euros for both. As for the brakes… well you just have to be extra vigilant while making the engine roar as the braking distance will be very long in case of emergency braking….

Looks great. Sounds great. Lots of power and torque. I'd really like to ride one and see how they feel. I can definitely see the benefit of that exhaust system. I had a thunderous bobber before. I used to go to my brother's shop which was in an office complex area and my brother was worried that the other tenants would complain.
@jakewillits4678
@jakewillits4678 4 месяца назад
I thinm we can re innovate the exhaust systems better. Theyre headed the right way trying ti make jt so ut csn be buttoned down quiet or loud and able to breathe. Its still rather early in the development of these kinds of systems. Ford tries it on the mustang its an interesting idea because I hate stock quiet exhaust but sometimes upgrading to louder ones its too loud in the wrong situations and you paid for 2 sets neither doungnwuite what has to get done and it seems to me trying to combine them with valve systems is early still and its sort of a compromise as well in its own way but its promising to me. If im leaving for a 3 hohrntrip to thr big cits maybe its 4am i dont want to blast out my neighborhood cranking the bike up letting it slowly warm up. It sucks to have straight pipes theres babies leeping on the other side of windows across the street. But theres also a lot of desolate barren highway right down the road its very nice to be able to hit a button and get some sound back or not.

If they are the stock 'bars and seat then Indian have missed out on HD's trick of selling aftermarket parts required to make the bike comfortable...

The narrow tank seems low. If it was raised a little higher, in my opinion I think would look better for a taller rider

Indian is killing it. need more competition for OG Harley Davidson

Remember though that Indian is an older company than Harley Davidson is by 2 years. Indian is America's first motorcycle company and used the V-twin engine first before Harley Davidson

This seems to be a good fit for you. American muscle for a young man while feeling light. Indian has come a long way in recent years and seem to be a tight kit. I like the rounded and vertical radiator! That will solve a lot of your mud on legs and header pipe problems. That license plate to the rear acts as a mudguard that should stop a large percentage of crap from destroying the clean bike and your clothes 😉.

Stunning-looking engine, like all Indians. I don't like feet-forward, though. Nick

Indian Motorcycles are very great bikes, but I would roll with the Harley for now. The reason why is because I don't need over a thousand engine cc bike. I like Harley's Entry level bike the Nightster it is perfect for a beginner. I understand someone is going to say Harley has problems. Newsflash there is no such thing as a perfect bike. Overall, beautiful bike.

If I wanted a lower cc beginners bike, I would take the scout bobber sixty over the nightster every time. Different taste tho. Glad we got options.

My first bike was a scout. The beauty of the bike is that I could “short shift” until I grew into the bike, which took about 1000 miles and I regularly find the rev limiter now.

This is for me the coolest looking bike around, but the fact that it only has 12,5 liters and no fuel gauge is a real setback for me. Also I don’t have the money to buy it 😂
