This new mouse pad has got me interested. I'm currently using an Hayate Otsu as my main pad but I feel like there is room for improvement. However, with shipping and import taxes the price comes out to almost £100, which is a lot. Regardless, I'm probably gonna pick it up as soon as I can since from what you've said this might be the perfect mouse pad for the main FPS games I'm playing.

@@DredgenErebus Yeah I sent an earlier version to badseed tech and fresh reviews for feedback who both seemed to like it. I plan to send them and other reviewers our most updated pad as soon as we have more arrive from the factory
@@ShadowDestiny yes and every one of them sounds like they're reading from a script and earning revenue with a stake in the company. this is not a $60 mouse pad so its pretty disappointing to see it being sold for more than some of the most established brands with better quality (poron, stitching, options, etc). I love y'all, I really do, but this feels pretty predatory. Using your reputations and name to push an overpriced product to line your pockets. I'm not saying that is your motivation specifically, but that is most definitely how this product push looks and feels. Ive owned over 20 mousepads, all of them high end, and this just doesn't pass the sniff test.

Looks like a larger version of the glorious elements: ice mouspad that I have. No shade tho, the mouspad is insanely smooth and has almost 0 resistance. Yes It does kind of feel like ice when you're using it. It's also silent and silky to the touch. Pick this up if you want to support pattycakes or really need the pad to be wider. Otherwise I'd probably get the glorious ice pad since it $12.25 on their website..
As someone who owns every Artisan and switches to a lot of different ones depending on how I feel and as someone who plays at 62cm/360 I really enjoy a big pad but not one who takes up like 75% of my desk. Instant pre-order for me.
definetly sounds amazing, sadly its probably too small for me, as im a huge fan of huge mousepads, to put my keyboard and mouse on it. if you ever launch a bigger version, i will definetly get one asap. still hope the sails go nuts, so you have the option to expand the brand ;)
@@PattycakesGaming I see a lot of companies go in between around 32 to 35 x 12 to 16 for the “huge” size. I’m a fan of the latter as I like to have my keyboard on my mouse pad too, as someone who despises those wrist rests for keyboards. It provides nice cushion for my wrists and and just feels and looks good on a desk, almost sets a “this is for my m&kb and desk space is for etc.” for me haha.

@@PattycakesGaming personally I use a razer extended mouse pad and a razer basilisk v3 wireless pro with hyper polling dongle and a huntsman elite analog switch keyboard 60% so I have 4,000hz apparently it is incredibly fast I don’t play on pc much bc I got no friends on pc mainly play Xbox but I’m probably going to switch very soon. I finally found keybinds I like so all I need to do is practice. I learned m&k back in 2019 but my pc caught fire so forgot how to play last year I built a good rig.

@@PattycakesGaming well could you do a personalized high-end controller? Is that feasible. I've bought a custom one I like the extra buttons but I feel the grip could be improved upon. I work with my hands in construction and train after wards so controller comfort is a big one for me.
I am very Interested in this mouse pad, the biggest concern for me is how easy it is to clean since I game in an area that had a lot of dust, I have had nice mousepads before, that unfortunately held on to dust really well and had to spend way to long trying to get clean.
I've had really good luck cleaning it with the method I described on the livestream. Basically just use a soft sponge with a tiny drop of dish soap, scrub gently with warm water then use cold water to rinse all the bubbles out, and air dry. I've done it several times and it feels like new after each wash! I'll probably make a video about my method on the new company's YT channel

$60? No chance. It very well could be good but from an unknown brand, this is completely unacceptable for cloth. Artisan doesn't even charge that much...Maybe if the brand has been well established you could command such a price.
It’s substantially larger than the biggest artisan pads and very close in price. Their prices are heavily influenced by the value of the Yen currency which happens to be weak right now
@@PattycakesGaming many of the artisan pads are $34. Yes, yen is a factor, but they are not "close." Your pad is coming out damn near $80 with shipping. Basic rubber base, stitching looks just OK? I mean cmon bro, youve been around a long time. You know quality pads. If this was just a random pad on reddit, would you buy it? The answer is no, you probably wouldnt. I love and respect you for years now, but this just isnt a good look. You have a handful of destiny content creators (and controller players?) clearly reading from a script. I want you to be successful and make money, of course. I've supported you for years - but this feels pretty bad man. Especially considering that coating is coming off with heavy use in what? a few months max?

@@Masoch1st I appreciate the feedback and totally understand your point of view. With how much cost goes into these pads, I promise it's not marked up very high. We don't have the scale of some of the bigger companies yet so price per unit is even a tougher squeeze compared to someone like the big brands you mentioned. Also we are subsidizing about half of the shipping and handling cost to keep the shipping prices as low as we can, since it's quite expensive with a giant flat packed box. I understand it's not the right product or price point for everyone, but it is a very high quality pad!
@@PattycakesGaming i dont have any doubt its a good pad, though I do find it a bit hard to believe its as good or better than artisan. i'm sure its good though. I dont think you guys would say it was if it wasnt. To me, it looks very remeniscent of an aqua control, both in base, fabric, and stitching (albeit coated). And they are about half the price, so IDK - its a tough sell. Hopefully you can find a way to get your production cost down so you can make them more realistic. In any case, you are a good guy and I do wish you the best in this endeavor, truly.
It’s much more similar to a fabric pad than glass. I’ve been using it with tiger ice and copepads for months with no wear out of the ordinary, it’s very soft to the touch
@@PattycakesGaming The Superglides are glass mouse feet not PTFE, so I'm assuming a glass pad would potentially damage both the feet and the pad after wearing each other down
