About the lime-cilantro rice, you might try sautéing the dry rice in a little oil over medium heat until it turns opaque and gets a little beige before cooking. That’s a step in making any Mexican rice. Some people also rinse and drain the rice before toasting it that way so that the kernels stay separated. I started using this step when I make cilantro- lime rice ( otherwise use a regular recipe) and it comes out better than it used to.
The Roasted Garlic Better Than Bouillon is FANTASTIC for anything you’d use the veggie base in but want garlic flavor. I mix a tiny bit in olive oil for garlic bread and it’s very tasty.
My Aldi in Iowa no longer has the pads & I am bummed. They haven't had them for quite awhile. Also I wanted the Werthers green apple candies & all they had left was Pumpkin Spice. Maybe people are getting tired of so much pumpkin spice
I use the Panera sips club for my daily coffee. I stopped buying coffee regularly. It's $120/year and I get coffee many times a day, freshly made! (or iced tea, soda, sparkling water and lemonade)
This is not meant to be ugly but an honest question. Is your daughter vegetarian due to health reasons or is it bc of her choice? Either way is fine I just was curious. Please let me know if I offended bc I promise if was not meant offensive. J Luke to learn about things & this seems interesting to me
no offense taken! She really young was very grossed out due to the idea of meat. Slowly refusing to eat certain foods eventually full on vegetarian. She is picky overall, but meat is a non-negotiable. (We do talk about it with her pediatrician and they're not concerned based on growing well)
