Thank you Ela for this!!!! So I've been thinking on nothing else for a week and a half now than Young Royals, how is this possible? I can't even watch Elite anymore (how fake is this, and what teen is having sex like that?) and even Love Victor, as important as the series is, especially for Disney, I think now too fake, too old actors, everything too beautiful, too thick on top. This series has made me realize how important it is that we see people who are like us. How often do we see people in their thirties playing teenagers who then play adult dilemmas again? And if you have a show and there is someone gay or has ADHD or Asperger's or pimples (which would be very special but imagine) that will be completely milked out in one episode and we'll never have to deal with it again. Not only do I want season 2 (and 3 and 4 and 5 and 6) but I want more shows that are fucking real! Hollywood listen to us! One more thing: Never say sorry or that you're dumb again. You are not stupid and never have to apologize for your behavior, that is who you are! It makes yourself and the words 'sorry' and 'dumb' worth nothing. xx from the Netherlands

I love your style! You point out a lot of details I never noticed. You're so right about how YR is superior to almost everything else in the genre. To me, the most stunning acting of the series is August's look after he figures out what he's looking at through the window. August is a super-deeply complicated character portrayed by a FANTASTIC actor. I predict his story gets even more morally and emotionally complex in S2. Can't wait for your S2 reaction!
I at least was hoping for a meeting between Erik and Simon 💀💔 I feel like that would comfort Wilhelm and shit.. Like I pet that if Erik didn't die and he became a king he would support Wilhelm and his bf but we all know how it went instead 💔💀 I'm not mad though that made us see the football field scene that we all love and adore..

Loved the video Ella, you put my feelings about this movie into words❤️ one thing I'd like to say about Wilhelm looking into the camera is like, idk, maybe he wants us to feel like we too are always watching him, and that's basically what he struggles with - everyone watching him all the time and him needing to be 'perfect'. I fucking love this video and Young Royals, this is my reaction to the show. I love how realistic it is in the teens being played boy teen actors and not being sexualised nearly as much as many other teen shows. oh I hate how Wilhem's mum said she knew it was August, I honestly don't know when she found out. yes August needs consequences for his actions, he needs jail, no redemption possible for him. he fucking sucks. it was literally Childe pornography. yes I love Simon's family and group of friends so much I definitely understand the break up, but it was so sad that it had to happen. I need Wilherm to figure himself out fast in the next season, I need them to be happy. yes I have anxiety and I loved how they presented it in this show. omg I loved it when they held hands in the movie, then Wilhem freaked out. and their kiss after it was so cute. I love how he called Simon from memory. and omg yes, I love the football field scene 'everything is fake' - and how did Wilhem and Simon get back to Wilhem's room, I need to know.
