Brings a new meaning to the term "What a cute couple" lol I hope you and your girlfriend practiced safe coupling lol I understand you can get medication couplings that fail to be erect ;-) Did you learn about these things from the Karma Shunter? Just because you're feeling Hornby, you should not rush into things. Always take a moment think about taking procurations before coupling. I think you should contact your local model engineering society and try your couplings on one of narrow-gauge trains or do a James May toy story and try it on the real thing lol.

You never want to stress the parts when attempting this kind of coupling. Plenty of lubrication and a steady hand is advised. Keep some tissues to hand just in case you need to mop up any excess

At the beginning of this video I thought...yep Sam has lost the plot building big couplings but by the end I found it to be one of your most entertaining videos. Inuendos galore and plenty of role play..makes for a good relationship. Would be good to see a videos on your GF's favourite Locos, Wagons etc. and her point of view of your hobby.

I have a few packs of Kadee knuckle couplers that can clip into the pocket mount for the couplings on British made locomotives and rolling stock, I can send you some sometime if you want to try them

I think that what we've witnessed is not the future of O gauge, but of 1:1 scale. Obviously, this is a much easier way of coupling trains together. With some minor modifications (e.g. electric raising of the coupling hook) , these couplings are the future of rail transport! 😉

Model Engineering Exhibition. 2 visits to Rugby Model Engineers track and 2 days at Bluebells Giants of Steam. Then enjoyed opening a parcel from Hatton's preloved selection. Love David and Lily.

How about printing a large piece of trolling stock - 7 plank wagon - and use it to store things? You could print the body in two parts - front and rear, then glue them together!

Oh my gosh such a cute Couple you 2 are and I love all the "family friendly innuendo's" that were uttered in this video. This video could've easily derailed itself but you 2 stayed on tracked even when there was alot of tension lock with those couplers and she didn't have a Cow about it. Amazing Sam and partner :D all them almost dirty references are gold. Also you should look into Helicoil Wire inserts for threads in 3d printed parts. We use them in engineering all the time, they will make any thread in plastic about 50x stronger.

Well, what can I say? You got a nice gal there who is taking part in your hobby and enjoying it. Great to see how you can enjoy the time together like this. Most ladies (including my wife), have different interests like cooking and baking and they are not the least interested in our hobbies! What a great team! I think you missed something in the coupling "holder" as it keeps coming out undone. If the two ends of the coupling was long enough to go out the other end of the holder, they might expand and lock in place... if you know what I mean. Crazy stuff but very enjoyable. Could you do a segment on how to get a DCC system together for the benefit of us who are new to DCC? Thanks and kind regards.

For your O gauge coupling now all you need is a uncoupling hook, some thing like a scafford pole should be about to scale. Love the crazyness
