Failing is part of the game and I have a high amount of crashes during my sessions. Most of them are mellow, others hurt a bit more. Learn from them and try again

Refreshing to see. Hear so many guys in kiting say they never crash, are bored and switch to winging, but they never tried anything more than cruising for fear of looking uncool crashing
@stevenakkersdijk
@stevenakkersdijk Год назад
Oh yes, I can totally imagine that. It makes such a difference if you're willing to crash and keep on trying new things.

Best kitesurfing YT channel as of today in my opinion. Thanks for this video, showing us to embrace the failure, as always in a super likable way. Keep up the great work Steven.

@2:33: DO A KICKFLIP! This was fantastic. It's nice to see that in between all the perfect executions there's many attempts that don't always work out and that it's ok to fall.

Love the focus on rotational 'small' air tricks! So refreshing to see after all the standard big air whoopiedoopies.
@stevenakkersdijk

Glad you also like it! the small rotations are usually very technical but without the high risk factor from big air

After spending 70% of the time in the water yesterday, trying to learn riding switch and tacking, a really appreciated seeing this video. We're all beginners at something.

I can imagine that this video made you feel better. We've all been beginners and when we try something new it often involves many crashes! You'll be surprised about the amount of crashes I go through before I land a new trick.

@@stevenakkersdijk Your kite foiling videos are also really helpful. Tacking on a foil feels so weird, I haven't quite figured out the timing / kite control.
