Our new 2JZ powered Supra MK5 GR has got 1000hp on tap, but that is a lot to handle at your first event in the car, as Dave found out at Iron Drift King in Germany this weekend. The 2JZ was singing but with a new track, car and tyre setup, it meant practice was always going to be unpredictable in the concrete arena. What do you guys think of the 2JZ Supra drift car after it's first day of competition?

Do yourself a favour Dave and never forget to attach the HANS device! You’ve also the seat belts not over it correctly and are loose. Mondello has footage from a crash in the iccr where a lad didn’t attach his hands and it looked like his head popped off his shoulders! He’s ok now but it was nasty

Proud of you Dave, you were brave, drove well and progressed a lot throughout the competition. Drift cars are meant to have marks etc it means you’re driving hard.

I find the Hans device to be super uncomfortable, so I sometimes don’t wear it. But wearing it and not attaching it to the helmet is next level 😂

That livery is actually so sick. The colour of the body was made for this styling clearly. It juat suits so well. Im glad you still have the Kevlar showing as that seemed to be the most "unique" feature of the car.

Super stoked to see you ripping the Supra. This comment is way too late now but it looks like you could've gone down another gear in the rear. I noticed you were still only playing around in the mid range in the chase runs. Also not sure if left foot breaking would help you keep wheel speed up so you don't have to keep peddling it. Regardless, new car jitters out the way now so time to send it!!!! looking forward to the next video of you ripping this beast.

The Supra build is one of the best A90s ive seen in a long time. I love how wild you guys are willing to go with your builds. They are always extreme, but still look good. All those little details really add up to make a build special. Also what in the Need for Speed Underground is this drift track?? What a bad ass location to film and drive in. It was hard to see that pristine car hit the wall, but its inevitable with a drift car.

I've talked about this car amongst my friends and mentioned to them that it really does seem too nice for drifting. They agree. I know drifting is what you do and it gets a lot of exposure this way but i'd be more keen to see it put to other uses. Would be a hell of a start for an ultimate show/street car or maybe some time attack. I just don't wanna see it get smashed up.

Drift cars are predators, the moment you show weekness, they pounce and bite you. You have to show 100% dominance, every input has to be assertive. They can smell lack of confidence and they will punish you. Especially, a beast like that! Good luck, keep up the good work.

you were wide, but waiting for a forward bite too. You had to work the clutch and rpm already when you were handbrakeing. This is what Adam was saying with 3.0 - lights the tire up "this moment" too late. Personally I would change the turbo for some g35-900. You don't need 1000hp in this car. James knows that too, that with this turbo rated over 900hp you have to have nitro to light it up quicker then turbo alone is able to

Comes from a place of love Dave always make sure you HANS is attached you just never know when you might need it. My dad broke his neck rallying in Ireland before they existed he’s all good too but just a point to make it can happen any time any place in competitive racing.
