Lol, the first time McDoubles sees a high lvl Horde player, his OSRS training immediately kicks in and he insta logs. I'm only 1/3rd into the video, but seeing McDoubles pull out the OSRS strats gives me hope that this high elf mage is going places. (This comment better not turn into foreshadowing)

Merry Christmas Doubles.. The Polymorph does last 60 seconds, however in classic (and more classic servers) Mind-control, polymorph and other abilities with a interruptable/breakable duration is checked internally by the game every second, this is called "Heartbeat Resist"

There's an old school addon called Carbonite that lets you see exactly where guild members are on the world map, what location they're traveling, current quests ETC. I'm assuming this is what they're doing lol.
Merry Christmas! Really Love your videos, keep up the good work! And as for why he found you, I think it is an Addon called Guildmap that gives you the locations on world map and minimap of every guild members. So that sucks when there are toxic players like the one you encountered.
Tracking players is an easy task in wow due to the possibility of the /who and being able to roll horde and alliance on the same server and this is without addon. Ascension did a good job removing the who tab, it countered the method directly.
Those horde are so degen gotta love the vanilla experience would love to see you complete the challenge as well as the nightmare Ironman mode challenge

If you do another video, I would highly recommend doing a Enhancement Shaman, either Tank or DPS, they're actually a lot of fun and even at lv 22 feels so much better to play with the changes
The Demigod was not there in classic, but the route is still the same as it was. Having fond memory's of these places myself :D dunno if it works on turtle but maybe you can find a video about about Old Ironforge. It's a cave with crystals and stuff right below ironforge. U could get in with getting poly'ed in the throne rooms right door if I recall correctly.

Those are 2 separate challange modes and if you are mad enough to do them both at rhe same time, the game is not stopping you. I see no problem with it.
I disagree. The current server has been around for 4 years and always will be around. It was fully progressed before turtle even had a real player base, were talking permanently below 100 online players for years. Now that it gets over 1k regularly, the playerbase deserves a fresh start to try all the content when it matters. Old server would be a legacy server like Ascensions area 52. If it was alive for 2 or 3 years with nearly no players it will be just fine if a fresh launches.
@@Mcdoubles you may be right, populating levelling zones would be cool but I'm still not sure. Maybe they can make some event with really cool rewards for levelling a new character that everyone would want to get so most people start fresh staying on old server

It's because there would be MORE players in MORE zones with fresh PLUS reaching max would feel good. At the moment it doesn't feel good because the server is fully progressed. Maybe you guys feel different, and that's great, but for me I hit max on my 60 warlock and my brain says "okay, there's no progression really, no point of doing anything other than trying to sneak into a raid and zoom past into the uber end game." It's more fun when there aren't any players who have power levels that are absolutely ridiculous. I got on my warlock and went to try the new AV and a Hunter killed me from 100% in less than 2 seconds. I've never mained Hunter in Vanilla and I don't remember a damage recap option like Ascension has, but the sheer audacity of it being normal to be killed that quick by another same-level player was just lame =( The guy had like 6k hp, and I have 3.2k lol. The grind is simply not worth it for a lot of people when they're already so far behind. Luckily, the 1-60 journey is wonderful, but the dread of knowing that once you hit max the game is basically over and there's nothing to look forward too does feel bad.
Oh man... not gone through the whole section of the vid yet, but something tells me you got ganked on that mage lol. There was a dipshit forsaken rogue who twinked himself out to obscene levels camping the bridge into Westfall, that was bad enough with normal Warmode on. The worst part? He was level 10, and still easily soloed 20's.
@@Mcdoubles You, me, anyone. Ascension has the draft and RE catch. A previous season actually got me back into retail and TBC classic simply for the official/polished aspect. I don't have anything against 🐢 wow but can't figure out what the hook would be. Other than just something free and different.
@@gregrussell1787 the idea is having a fresh start, at least in my opinion. To take Vanilla WoW and take it in a different direction than retail eventually went where everyone just wants to speed through their alts and min-max everything. Keep the sense of adventure alive.

Just stay out of world chat, or your christmas and new years gift from the server will be a permanent ban. Don't appeal any chat bans, they'll IP ban you for it and your roommates will also get banned.
You too? I hope you didn't dare to appeal the chat ban. I got permanently IP banned for trying to appeal the chat ban and now my months of time and 6 characters are all gone.
@@flamerollerx01 lol I got chat ban and like after 2-3 minutes IP ban hahah. After asked in discord what happening I was silently banned there too lol. And only after I asked them through support mail about all this they said I banned for repeatedly violated terms of service lol. Though now I understand how population never grow, they literally banhammer shit out of their server gladly. Good developers I mean technically server isn't bad, but community managers literally worst possible they could find.
