I can't even put my hair in a ponytail properly and she out here dying, straightening, cutting and styling her hair like it's nun 😓😓 But good job tho, beautiful results 👏🙄
Omg, you said it b4 that you make mistakes too and I friggin love that you do!! I don't wish any ill will toward you(your hair), EVER, but I really do love the realness that you share. I'm telling you gurl, you give me hope lol. And your hair still came out GORGEOUS👏👏👏👏👏😍😍❤❤❤
Dana Rankin awwwww GURL! Lol thank you so much!!! So many of these youtubers think their hair, body, skin and bank account have to be perfect LOL not I! I’ll continue to show y’all the ups and downs. Thank you boo!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I appreciate your honesty Tierra because there are not many You tubers that would be that honest about their hair mishaps. Your hair turned out beautifully. I love the bob style and I have my hair styled that way also and it is so easy to manage. I just love it. :)
My fingers have been itching to get a hair cut but I really really want to reach my length goal. If by summer 2019 am not there, we are just going to cut.
Ay. Olaplex 2 and 3 also have protein in them so it might have been that. Olaplex 2 is concentrated so it is possible that leaving it on overnight is what caused the breakage on already fragile pre-colored parts. I love the black though. Darker colors are so rich. And black hair is in a class of its own.
Dante Velasquez YES you hit the nail on the head!!!💡I got to looking into the ingredients of the number 2 treatment afterwards and that’s exactly it. Yesss I love me some dark hair 🙌🏾
Yeees, Aphogee is the OG! I was introduced to it in the late 80s-90s, we love to wear braids! My hairdresser used this on my hair when I came out of braids; everytime😇 Stops the shedding after braids, but the moisture treatment kept it from breaking/shedding! Last year, I added this treatment to my Clients 😇 I had forgotten about it due to new products that promised the same results 🤔 Duh, this is the only protein, keratin treatment I use for clients 😇 Try it! If it ain’t broke; you know the rest! I have clients that had major damage from sew ins, relaxers, and aleopcia ; results Great😇
So you can use aphogee protein treatment even if your hair isn't damaged? Im asking because i was considering using it before i get my braids next week.
Rachel Lewis you can definitely use it even if you don’t have damage. But I would say do it after your braids just because you wanna follow up with moisture after aphogee. Might not be able to do that with your hair locked up in braids you know?
Damn it grew so much your last trim session. It def was the color that caused the damage but you know what it’s all good cause that bob looks so full and nice and it’ll grow back, besides you live and you learn it’s all good. Great tip about removing color off the skin!
This is it! From the dyeing of the hair to the styling. This is the video that has FINALLY convinced me to go on ahead and let that dead hair go!! I can’t wait to cut it now so it can look healthy and alive. Thank you so much.
YESSS!!! A natural hair tutorial I fell in love with your channel because of your natural hair tutorials and your hair is gorgeous by the way , love it!!! 😍😍😍
I love how honest you are when you try something new. Nobody is perfect. Not even a licensed cosmetologist. And we get to learn through you. Also yo hair be bomb af girl!
You have came a long way lil sis. You are very intelligent, inspiring and classy. I remember when you first went natural before the babies. You started with the coils in your hair. You should do a throw back video just for ole time sake for those who are just now subscribing. Keep up the good work and as always thank you for the tutorials/videos.....😘🙏💇💅💇💅💇💅💇💄💄💄💄💄💄
Jeekai W awwww thank you so much for supporting me for such a long time!! Hahaha I remember those days! Omg I wish I still had those videos 😩😩😩 I don’t even know what happened to that channel 😞 but again thank you so much!!! ❤️❤️❤️
WHOOOOO! There was something so satisfying about when those scissors went across the dead ends. The hair that was left looked so healthy and full. Such a simple technique. Thanks for the tip.
I love how you take us on your hair care journey. Mishaps and all...you show us the downs and the bounce back and it is very motivating. Thank you!! 💛💜💚
I FINALLY got that blow dryer. I wish I could insert a praise break gif 🤣 I got it on Black Friday as well PLUS I had a coupon! Oh GAWD IS GOOD!!!!.... Cute bob
Heyyyyy Sis T I love how u Constantly play with Different Styles ... UR JUST ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS I LOVE THE Step by Step process & reviews of wat ever products u using @ da time. BLESSINGS 💜‼️
This is what makes you a master strength overlength thank you for being so humble and transparent you are such a boss and I'm here for it! Love you girl
Strenght over length anytime, i have had red hair for a while from when i was relaxed and now natural and i love it, but it is lot of maintenance to keep it healthy, i love that you cut it and was NOT afraid, it looks AWESOME!!!
Setbacks get you ready for the comeback 👌🏿 Olaplex is Bomb, I use that when I lift my bundles to get to the color for my clients! I do charge them extra for this service due to the price of Olaplex! I try to buy it when available at hair shows; that’s a tip for professionals😘😇🙏🏿
Gurrrrl that heat plus that color prob did your hair in. But I think you caught it and corrected it just in time or it woulda ate your hair up some more. Oh and that cut is so bomb, I love it
I freaked out when I read that you cut it! But, you know exactly whatchu doing. 😍 Bout to dye my hair black, and use this stinky aPHogee I bought. 😅 Wish me luck!
@@QuianaSiera It does smell bad and it's supposed to be sticky when it dries. It works wonders if you do it correctly. I have been using it for ten years. You must use the entire system in order and exactly how the directions say. It keeps my hair from shedding and I love it. I only do it twice a year
Because of you I tried the rubber band method to even out my hair in a blunt, all the way across, from left to right long bob and it came out BEAUTIFULLY!!!!! There's so much body and volume. It looks and feels thicker; the thickness is consistent from root to ends. I thank you ❤ P.s: your hair is gorgeous and your videos always deliver. New sub!!!!
I remember looking at one of your videos & saying to myself that I liked darker colors on you better. That black is everything!!! Love the Bob. I would've mourned for my strands girl lol, but you didn't blink twice. Love your realness!
I'm sorry you had all that breakage. I would've been upset too but you fixed it right away. Thanks for always being transparent! Everything doesn't always have to be perfect and I like that about you. 💖😘
I swear ya hair videos give me life and I've learned some thangs from u love..u are so appreciated..I have damaged ma hair wit the box dyes which is why I did the big chop in the 1st place so now I'm trying to Dr. ma hair back to health..but I wana try another color but I can't think of a color that I haven't had smh..much love Tierra 💕
You fixed that girl...the breakage didn't look too bad after you flat ironed it though. And 2 inches isn't that bad. So now you got a fresh start and keep a healthy routine from here on out you'll be back to where you were in a few months. But that bob is banging. And what did you put on your hair before you blow dryed it?
nice save! some people love length so much the would rather keep their see through ends. I never heard of the color removing color so that was definitely a nice tip!
I've left oleplex 1, 2, and 3, on my hair longer that I'm supposed to, yet have never have had it smell bad, break, or feel dry. Sorry that that happened to you!
Tierra, I am at that point in my natural life of cutting my hair. It's just not the same and it's DEFINITELY time for a change. By you even showing the real you just freaking love it
👍👍👍 Please never stop making these videos. It's nice to see someone share all the things they go through with their hair. I'm glad I'm not alone. I clicked like before the video even started cause I knew you were gone slay!
Parris Clayton, I know she is a professional😇 I watched her videos from 2 years ago when she built her salon from home, when she was pregnant with her 2nd son, and her when she and her husband relocated to this new home when everything became great😇 I was saying that Olaplex can only be purchased by professionals! It’s a great product, everyone should use it when dealing with color/ lifting hair! When lifting these bundles from China, Olaplex will show you if it’s quality hair, too😇 Just letting nonprofessionals, esp they sell these products in my community California only to licensed Cosmetologist 😇
Well if it's such a great product to use for lifting hair for color then y is it sold only to professionals cuz there r diy'ers that know how to color & would love to use what professionals use so they can be great as well ?!? 🙄🤔
I left a comment for you, sorry😢 I know in California, there are Professional Beauty/Barber Supply stores that sell Olaplex, you do have to have a license when purchasing. Due to the ingredients I suppose, that’s why they don’t carry it at Sally or generic beauty supplies. You can go online to EBay or Amazon; I found trial sizes, but it is a great product, just saying🤔😇
My Goddess, it’s hard for RU-vidrs and Professionals( I look out for Both! Real Talk! We all grind in this business, teach each other, and feed our families! Gurl, the Professionals come for me when I do this, but really🤔 Most of the RU-vidrs I follow are Great at what they do😇 I started my Channel by watching RU-vidrs, went to school and got my Cosmetologist license in California 😇 I got the best of both Worlds 😇 Hey Now, Sis😇😇😇🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿 #HairbyEdie #HappyHolidays Miss Aquarian Queen much love for even recognizing me😇😇😇🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿👌🏿
I’ve watch you from the beginning of your hair growth and I’m extremely happy for your journey. I remember when it was just a little fro now you have all of that healthy hair. So inspired to get my hair straighten, I’ve Ben wearing it in protective styles and I’m ready to jump out there and this video has just given me all they courage and life! Thanks hun!
First of all I felt your pain because my hair did the same thing and I have been trying to figure out what caused my breakage. But your hair looked so much healthier. Loved the Bob cut. After I take out my braids I'm definitely doing me a bob cut. A cut can really make a difference. I do my hair and clients hair all the time and a cut definitely helps. Nice job👍
Okay!!! Am I the only person who jumped when that broken glass sound broke out @8:55 ? Anyways, your hair came out lovely! I just big chopped, again (boo hoo), in August. I'd love to color my hair, I have a few early grays around the hairline (it's genetic) that are getting on my nerves and I am afraid of my frying my hair with coloring since I've never had it done. So, if I may, I have a few questions? #1 - Did dying your hair that red color and then covering it with the black color change the texture of your nature hair or is that some previous heat damage or both? This is a concern for me since because I really want to cover the few grays but I don't want to cause my natural hair texture to change. I already had to big chop because of irreversible damage and I don't want to do it again. #2 - Do you still do Keratin treatments and if so, what exactly are they good for and do you recommend only letting a professional do them? Thanks for any help! P.S. Its 2am and I just binged watched about 15 - 20 of your earlier videos LOL! Love it!
Omg looks amazing! My hair has been breaking something rotten the worst my had been. Watching your video has given me hope. I don’t have much trust in hairdressers so I’d rather do my hair myself. So I decided to cut and colour like you. I just hope my hair comes out half as beautiful as yours. Great video! ❤️👍🏾
That's exactly what i was thinking! If she decides that she wants t9 change the color, she would have to strip that black as well as that red in order to get good results..we all know how hard it is to strip permanent black out the hair.
Bc demis aren’t permanent an she already said she’s not coloring her hair again and idk man black hair dye is so conditioning lol like I’ve been pink and purple and stuff but my hair felt so much better after I went black. Lol
Monique it depends on the brand. Every time I went black or used a permanent color it didn’t dry my hair out. I think what she using is from her hair school as well so it’s not gonna be drying since she’s a cosmetologist. When I was in school at least
First, I really like how you chose to go black for your hair that part gave me life do you hear me. Also clipping your ends was magical to watch. And your bob was stunning for sure 12/10
but when did the breakage occur bc it wasn't due to the treatment you did in this video. you would have seen the hair come out in the comb or go down the drain right
wow... I am so glad I stumbled on your channel... not to many youtubers would be up front and personal like you about hair damage and what's needed to do to prevent it and move forward. l've been doing a lot of research and looking at a lot of different videos and I have to say, your channel is the most realist I've seen. I am not a big fan of the wash and go style and as a result I was putting my back in sleek buns... and when I went to the salon this past weekend to get a treatment and get my ends professional trimmed, its there the stylist noticed some breakage and damage. I lost an inch of my hair and I realized, I need to do what's best for me and stop trying to adopt to the hair trends. I don't have to slick press my hair out every two-four weeks... but I now know there are different options e.g. heatless curls for one. Pardon the rant and thanks for positing.
OMG this whole video was so INFORMATIVE thank u so much lol last comment..I host really appreciate you..u are so silly, honest and real..always good vibes on BOTH channels 💯
