I feel so sad for the older man that knew he was acting out of control. He was screaming for help! 😢😢😢

This is the sort of thing that has got me through lockdown.

People can be so cruel to one another. The second patient was at his wit’s end and the only way he felt that he could cope was through violence, hence the self-cutting. I truly do hope that he gets the appropriate help that he needs.

I felt so bad for the second guy bless him

Im a nurse and one my first jobs was working in SICU, surgical intensive care. I had an older male patient who was poor and his living condition's weren't the best. He lived in a trailer with no power or running water. The bed or couch he slept on was old and worn down. One day he was sitting on it and felt this incredible pain in his groin. He said if felt as of he'd been shot. He tried to get up and couldn't due to incredible pain in his groin. Turns out, whilst he was sitting, a coiled spring from whatever he was sitting on had stabbed him and lodged into his testicles! He had no phone so he yelled, for hours, finally someone came home that lived near him and heard his screams. He had to sit several hours in pain yelling out. For whatever reason, he didn't think going to the ER was prudent at the time so he waited several days until his testicles had swollen to something terrible and then had the neighbor call 911. He need surgical debridement and had to have the wound packed, wet to dry, 3 times daily. Guess who had that pleasure 3 days in a row..... me!!

As someone who has 2 chronic genetic disabilities, one of which sent me partially blind at the beginning of Covid, I really felt for the guy who’s sight is gone. Horribly, horribly frustrating - especially when he’s on his own. 😔

I don't think that I would of sent him around other people so fast. I would of have him meds to calm him down for a week then had him to come back to check if the meds was working .If he was to be calming down and did not get all rauled up and didn't mention fighting or loud out bursts then I would have sent him over for help.

I really feel for the first poor fella. He was probably in a great deal of the pain. The second guy is an emotionally unstable threat to others and I would hate to be his next door neighbor. He needs to be heavily medicated and in therapy, this is the kind of guy who scream at a bowl of pistachios because he feels they are judging him and try to stab the postman in the heart with a fireplace poker if agitated because he touched his mailbox..

Wow must be awful for the poor man The poor blind man I am also blind and am lucky to have my guide dog. I think it is hard at times and I get very frustrated. And people dont understand, I use the tv just to hear voices I at times miss someone to talk to, with this virus life for everyone is having very difficult time. I am giving morrisons 10 out of 10, for there doorstep delivery, so I dont run out of food but of course I cant even meet friends for coffee and a chat

The blind guy is heartbreaking, I am physically disabled with spinal problems, and also very hearing impaired. But absolutely none of the service suppliers take it into account , when for instance they want gas meter readings electric readings water readings etc etc, and expect me to do everything for them then go "online " of course to give them their ransom demands!! Being totally alone in this world is not an option, I have even had energy suppliers tell me to go out in the street and ask a stranger into my home to read the meters!!!!!

So I am legally blind to you can have Siri read your text messages to you you just ask the phone to do it and it’ll redo the only thing I can do calls I just asked the phone to do it for me if somebody would just show this man it would help them out the only thing I cannot get it to do was like press one when you’re inside of a car that’s the only thing I have a problem with. I think most of the visually impaired person’s issues are mental not physical which is very sad
