A section of the pre-Code revue King of Jazz - this color is done with Technicolor No III dye-transfer, a subtractive process using only red and green dye. Note that nitrate-base film has almost entirely decomposed to the point of destruction, so this film likely had yellowed significantly by the time it was scanned.
At some point in this film, Delbert Cobain, great-uncle of Nirvana's Kurt Cobain, is a singer- though this seems impossible to prove.
My belief is this was blue-shifted significantly, and is not seen here as it would have been viewed in 1930. Further research will be required into the chemical makeup of the dye.
