Did you have to adjust the pitch learning this one? Idk if they just tuned to one instrument and were never in standard pitch or if Bluebird messed the pitch up in pressing, but it seems like most of their recordings I have to run through audacity to put em in standard pitch.

The original is somewhere between C and C#, yes! I suspect it's often to do with the speed of the recording equipment being inconsistent, but as they were no electronic tuners around, it could also be that they just tuned to each other. I often write out charts without an instrument in my hand, and then at the end pick up my uke to check I'm correct, and what key it's in. Sometimes though I'll use this extension for Google Chrome that lets me transpose or fine tune. transpose.video/
