Why should you care about how far away the order is ? That is up to the customer. If the pay is right, you drive. That's it. In this case, 49 minutes for $14.56 (including tip). Drivers should pay attention to these slave labor rates from Uber.

@@choongta For a drink though? Unless the tip is big enough, it's not worth it. Plus about half of that is getting eaten up by the cost of gas especially if you have to drive all the way back depending on the price of gas in your area and how far away from your home or spot you are.

Ok. Let me explain. First of all, I don’t take orders that are $1 per km/mile anymore unless the order is bringing me to an area I want to go. Gas prices are just too expensive and I lose money if I take $1 per km/mile order. Second of all, I don’t take double orders that are less than $10 unless in very special circumstances. Remember you have to stop at least three times if u take a double order and stopping too much actually use more gas. Third of all, I don’t take anything under $5. If the order is $5, the drop-off would have to be very close. Fourth of all, I aim for at least $1.4 or even $1.5 per km/mile now. Gas prices are just too expensive and I have to think about maintenance and other expenses as well. Also, orders that are at least $1.4 per km/mile are just more worthwhile of my time. Hope this helps.

@@GigAcademyInc I have not been gig for 6months, so I had to ask. Do you get to file tax returns on your km driven? I am tracking mine for tax refunds and hope gas is paid for. Right now my car is about 28-29 miles per gallon. But my time is being paid very very small like 10-16/hr. I can also do my own car repairs which helps SO MUCH. I understand why you dont want to take them. I only drive Doordash right now as its part time.

@@DomParenti Yes we can claim the KMs and depreciation on the vehicle. But it doesnt make a difference in most cases with our tax system

Have to keep in mind, Canadian gas prices are much higher than American. SO then offers here, just see like we are putting the earnings into gas, instead of into pocket. SO if the offer is 2 ($8.00) going 18km, its not with it. I am in Vancouver and I see tonnes of orders for Burnaby Mountain 1300 ft hike. Its brutal. SO that is why here in Canada, if we see $1/1km, depending on where its going, its not worth it. @GigAcademyInc has it different, but same idea though.
