I also do my keratin treatments by myself! Those fumes are no joke! Using goggles help with that though. I know I look ridiculous with the goggles but since I’m at home no one’s looking haha! Thanks for the video, it was super helpful 💕😊
@@JillJMUA I use the same brand, Keratin Research but mine is a black bottle and called the “Gold Label” version because I have 4a-4c hair (literally I find so many different curl patterns in my hair since I went natural haha). Just subscribed to your channel, thanks for the hard work!
Gorgeous!!! Your hair texture naturally is exactly like mine...literally different curl pattern left to right 🤦♀️😆 What I found prevents my eyes from burning was that I wear contact lenses. It does leave my throat sore afterwards from inhalation though 🤮 But again your results look amazing 🔥🔥
I might try it... but the burning eyes makes me feel it's too strong . May look for an alternative or if I use it just get goggles. Your hair looks great. :)❤💕
I used this same product 8 years ago.. The only cons are the smell of fumes and the natural pattern of your curls don't fully come back for a good few years... other than that... My hair is exactly like hers.. I now use the less stronger keratin research FORTE+
You look gorgeous!! And This product works! But I won’t buy it again. :( my eyes were so watery and I had my fan on and A/C, open window.At the end my nose started running and I had a few coughs. My hair is nice but oh boy, it was rough.
I don't care for the eye and throat burning, but honestly it was awesome. I rather find one without the formaldehyde. I know the same company has a formaldehyde free treatment called Inverto.

Just moved to Park City, Utah and am having a really hard time finding a place that does keratin. So I’m getting ready to do my own. Your video was very helpful, thank you. Thanks lady!! Don’t get me wrong, I do love my curls - I actually haven’t straighten it at all this summer! This treatment has definitely defined my curls and made it easier to style 🥰
It didn’t damage my hair at all! This isn’t a relaxer so the hair doesn’t stay straight. It is a smoothing treatment, so it really just takes the frizz making the hair easier to manage. Check out my other 2 videos I posted for updates 👍🏽
I tried the Express version & the curly method...burns the scalp, even when you intentionally try to avoid it & not sure it did enough to warrant the time & pain. I even have a slight headache now. I'm returning what remains.
I noticed you don't wash after the initial flatiron process. I just started taking my daughter to get a Brazilian blowout / keritan treatment and I noticed that the lady washes her hair once to clarify it, dries it to somewhat straight, applies the treatment, flat irons it to seal in the treatment, and then washes it again afterwards. Then she does a final blow dry and flat iron to style the hair. I'm guessing that secondary wash is to wash away any remaining chemicals that may irritate the scalp? Since you did not wash yours afterwards I'm wondering is it a different type of keratin? Maybe at-home products are not as strong?
All salons use different brands and I’m sure they have their own instructions on when to wash. I am able to wash this one out in a couple hours (I believe) after sealing it in with the flatiron. I just choose to keep it in and wash it after a few days because it’s such a long process and I get lazy. From my understanding once I’m it’s sealed, it’s sealed so wash whenever.
Thanks for making this! I have 3b hair and love wearing it straight. It's completely unmanagable to the point where I avoid taking proper care of it - which of course makes it worse. I have been seriously considering doing a relaxer but haven't seen many other girls with my texture get it done. I was scared it would be way too harsh! Now I'm doing research on keratin treatments. Your video rocks!

I bought some keratin it was in alittle spray bottle I forgot the brand name. Mine is not white. It's clear liquid Will it work on natural curly hair with out having to use heat?
This stuff works well but the fume are horrible. I mean really bad. I can't do it anymore because I dread just thinking about using it. But the results are amazing.
Whats the best Brazilian Blowout/Keratin to make your hair the straightest/smooth? I have thick wavy hair and im not sure if I should use Amazonliss Nutree or Keratin Research? any recommendations will help!

It just cleans your hair of product buildup, dirt & oil - if it’s box die it my strip the color a little but you should be ok - just color your hair 2 weeks after treatment

I am interested in getting this product. My hair is like yours. But shorter. My hair is to my shoulder. Do you still use this. I moved to NC and the keratin treatments here are so expensive. How much is the product
3 months - in humidity my straight hair will still get a little frizzy (because of the moisture in the air & because my hair is curly) but it’s significantly less than it was before the treatment

I did mine today But wow no wonder they charge what they charge, my eyes where killing me I was coughing had to get out of my bathroom bec I though I was suffocating wow! It’s a lot but I did it not sure if I would do it again
