The shade finder only doesn't work for foundations that just arrive at Sephora. I'm not sure how long it takes to update, but you will eventually be able to use the shade finder once it updates.

This makes sense. Because I was recommended to try new shades in an existing foundation and it did not work at all.

My shade is 070 however the shade finder on Sephora website was wrong because I normally use the same shade Andre Renee wears but the color she tried was too light. I did research on the 070 and went with that and it was a perfect match and a little goes a long way 🎯🎯🎯❤️❤️💯💯

I think as far as the shade finder it probably hadnt updated with the shades yet bc the same thing happened to me when I was trying to look for a shade in LYS foundation. Excited to hear your thoughts on this foundation though!!

First...the color match was spot on...but the wear time...I have seen your skin look better, with cheaper foudation of the same quality? No cap, no shade🤔...I use KISS Cover&Care...drugstore, but it does the same thing...cheaper, wears better with my prep and combo oily skin. You did a beautiful color story on your eyes to distract us tho💃💃💃💚the testament to your talent!

I know this video is a year old but geez Nyema really is still keeping the make up tutorial game alive on youtube for dark akin and I'm here for it I'm not her skin tone but it doesn't matter the technique and the build up to the final look is phenomenal and everytime you leave with a new gem to use for doing your make up and the steps for a seamless beat she reminds me of Jackie Aina when it comes to the perfecting the look yes they have different personalities but its the creative talented mond that i respect

I am a 410 with fenty powder foundation and I purchased shade 070 because of the undertone and it’s a perfect match however a little goes a long way. I hope this match and Sephora shade finder doesn’t work at all.

Oheema, this looks So GOOD! The shade, the finish, everything is Working. I was wondering if the hype was real so thank you for giving it a try. The Sephora shade finder is a mess most of the time for me. It will say I’m close to a shade I know won’t work for me, or I don’t have a shade at all and I watch a bunch of reviews and hope for the best. I purchased it from Ulta and hope to get it any day. Foundation has gotten so good! From ELF to Pat McGrath, there’s a lot of good foundations out here. I’ve got to learn to pick One! Because I want all of them. Lol

It't not just hard to find a shade if you are dark skinned. I have a hard time in the Medium/light medium range. I have always been doing the mix two or 3 shades thing all my life. I feel you sis.

I looooove watching you do your makeup, so I really appreciate still being able to watch you do your other makeup even when you’re video is about trying a new foundation. I can’t blame you for discounting the foundation after having issues with the Sephora shade finder tool, that’s super frustrating. It’s like, well, they’re telling me I don’t have a match so fine. 🤷🏻‍♀️ BUT, I’m so happy thag my things worked out that you did end up getting it to review! Your face when you swatched it and it disappeared had me giggling so when you started laughing a couple seconds later I had to laugh with you. It looked good. I have you to thank for turning me on to the elf mattifying products because I also have super oily skin and until using them I would look oily in a couple of hours no matter how matte a foundation was, so thank you for that! I love your eyeshadow look, I think the lashes are incredible and I just think you’re so wonderful and I really love your channel so much. I’m excited to have some videos to binge and catch up on. 💕🙌

@@Ohemaa Like it changed the undertone a bit. When you put it on your bare skin it melted in, when you put it on top of the tatcha I feel like it looked more golden undertone and kind of seemed light. The end result is still gorgeous just wondering what it would've looked like without the tatcha.

I feel like I'm always saying the same things in my responses but all I can say is that it is my truth and the truth is, you look STUN-NING-LY BEAUTIFUL! As I've said previously, O, I'm not a big foundation/makeup wearer but after seeing this video on KVD Good Apple Skin Perfecting Foundation Balm, I'd absolutely recommend to others who ARE into a full face of beautiful makeup, to come and check out your review on this product because it really looks beautiful on you!
