I like it but I agree with you they could use deeper shades with different undertones. Also I'm so sorry you had to deal with folks trying to tell you how to put makeup on your own skin

I love the final look! Even though the swatches (with deep 6 looking of course better than 5) still did not convince me, the look actually is really good! It really looks like this foundation does have a beautiful finish ! And you're always gorgeous, no matter what! 🤗

I saw you're previous Nars video and felt that Nars should extend the shades even more. Even now, I feel....is a touch different. I'm not dark, I'm Asian, but I have always believed, ALWAYS believed that foundations even close to the skin color range if the saturation or undertone is off, it won't work. Too many times I've had to work with a foundation that's a wrong undertone or a shade too light, and that sends such a wrong message especially with colorism still an issue here in many Asian countries. I'm glad you sat us down and clarified that it's not the right shade and how that can affect anyone who is similar to your color and the struggles that will come trying to "work" out the shade. 💖

Oheema, I’m glad that you didn’t force the previous shade. You shouldn’t have to. You know your tones better than anyone else. At this point there are no excuses and we shouldn’t have to settle by “making it work”. Love how you’re unapologetically honesty. ❤️❤️❤️ Nars should at least just make a custom shade for you, I mean why not?

Thank you for your honesty and transparency, love your channel! I have tried using a few different shades of this line in a few of my videos, too and none have worked for me either so I have decided to try one more shade and we will see how that goes. The others have actually been too dark but I will say they did not oxidize in my skin. The problem I had with this product after a couple of hours was I was definitely starting to look a little slick in my t-zone and kept having to touch up with some powder. Hopefully this new shade works because I want to love this product but they need to add to the color range and fill in those gaps. BTW that eye look is bomb!

I agree with you! The ladies at a makeup brand store kept matching me and telling me how to make a shade work. Meanwhile, I'd get it home and a different story. Ended up buying 3 different foundations after it was all said and done. Thank you for watching out for our coins too... not just yours!

I too struggle with my face and neck being darker than the rest of my body. If they want to settle for shades that don’t work them then good for them, but that’s not for everybody.

I just got an ad for this foundation, and J was confused as to why they only showed light skinned people in the ad. I had to find a video of someone with dark skin reviewing it, and you’re absolutely right! It’s ridiculous how many makeup companies don’t have dark enough foundation for everyone.

This eye look remains 🔥🔥🔥 It's sometimes hard to tell if a foundation is the right tone on screen, but this looks really good on camera! I have the opposite problem ... my neck is lighter than my chest and my face is redder than both so finding a foundation match is an Olympic event. 😂😂😂 I can never trust the descriptions online. Just wondering, do you have warm or cool undertones?

Can we demand a shade range extension? 😭 I literally hate seeing suggestions for this foundation and even the BORN THIS WAY matte foundation because I know it’s not gonna work for me. And it’s like when ppl find their shade in foundation they don’t really care that the shade range isn’t even deep enough and may not work for others.

Maybe they’re new Oheema and they don’t know that you will stop when it’s not working and tell us “this is Not working”. And I appreciate that because guess what, It’s happened to me while doing my makeup. Whether it’s a new product that’s not working with regular products, or the wrong shade, or product that’s just not performing. I have wiped off my makeup and started over, and sometimes I start over tomorrow, LoL. You are not here to Perform for us no matter what, we’re lovers of Makeup and we share the makeup experience, which includes stuff not working for us sometimes. I’m glad you found your shade!

Mine definitely oxidized.. I got the new shade and it looked noticeably darker and redder. My face is darker than my neck and chest.. it's atleast 1-2 shades darker than my neck and 2-3 shades darker than my chest

I found out I'm a shade darker in soft matte, I'm new Caledonia in luminous but igaucu in soft matte....if I had saw this video I would've went a shade darker to begin with!! The final look is fine to me. I say it matches, makeup is subjective its ok to go a little warmer or brighter if thats ur thing but it does not make it ok for makeup companies to skip out on shades tho.

I had the same problem as Ohema and we are very similar in shades. The Nambia or the one before this shade had a weird undertone even though it should have worked for me. It gave me a look like I had a mask on. Very odd. I sent it back to NARS as I was so disappointed. I didn't bother getting shade 6 like she did as I was certain it would be a good fit either and would again have to send it back. Nars clearly needs to work on their shade range for darker skin tones and work on their undertones. If all these other brands like Fenty and Urban Decay can get it right what is wrong with NARS ability to do so and they have been out for like forever now. NARS go back and revamp to improve here.

Oh the way it feels shook me, it feels like oil but absorbs completely no filmy feeling almost like a skin scare serum so I like to pair it with hydro drip.
