1. Desired closure prolongs grief. 2. Needing closure causes us to think with conditions. 3. Some closures are casued by God. 4. Your destiny is never tied to what's left 5. Waiting for an apology that is never going to arrive will keep you in a place you will never depart; emotionally, physically, spiritually. 6. God needs us to heal without the wounds rewording it. 7. God just doesn't order our steps but also orders our stops. 8. Our revenge is healing vengeance is the LORD's

My spirit needed this. Never letting go of my past reminds God that I'm never ready for my present and future.

i feel so late . im 26 and it took repeated trauma for me to get to this point where i realize im apart of the problem . i need to heal . once i heal i know im going to be a force to be reckoned with . i dont care for revenge believe it or not i still love them ; but i admit we are no longer good for each other . the heal version of me will not tolerate the things i have in the pass . i forgive myself and i forgive them . Nothing happens to us without God giving approval . Amen to this message !

🙏🏾💯 This is a good lesson because when you don't get closure God is allowing a clean break. We as God's Children are made to have a heart of understanding and care. I just endured this season! I'm still dealing with the ramifications, but God has shown me soooo much grace! I no longer want an apology because I'm not sure that it would be sincere anyway. Also, God's word says that we have to forgive them anyway. Honestly, I need God more than anger and bitterness!

I didn’t get closure. I’m still healing from a narcissistic abusive relationship after nearly 3 years later. Lord have mercy 🙏🏽

When I told my therapist I don’t need the “why?” She looked confused but after I told her I have 2 options, Go upstairs and cry hope I get the why or I can move forward with my life and allow GOD to heal my heart without ever knowing why. She seemed even more confused until I asked her “how do you get the why?” Pastor Flower sermons and therapy Thursday are helping through a very difficult time. But I have developed the deepest connection with GOD during this time. Anybody going through something turn to GOD allow him to heal you properly.

I reaped what I sowed. I was not loyal to the Lord when I joined myself with the devil. ( an unbeliever). Lesson learned!! I mean what's to be expected?? You play with fire, you get burned. Thankful and so grateful for the experience though it has strengthened me in many ways. It was necessary for me. God knows exactly what we need and when we need it. He knows I bet it never happens again! Now me and the Lord can laugh about it!! Even though He was dead serious on it all. So blessed for the correction out of God's love for me.❤❤Thank you Father God.

Thank you. Now I will leave the city I am in and quit being a single Dad to my three children and leave it all up to my ex’ who never gave me closure. It’s not ‘revenge’. It’s ‘dusting off my feet’. No… I won’t. Sometimes it’s just a gruelling journey. Your pain may be so deep, you may wake up in the morning already sobbing. So cry; Pray & get up and spread God’s Word and His love with the new awareness and empathy/compassion now that you KNOW other people are suffering. Let your heartbreak lead you to gentleness. Work for your earthly masters like you are working for God. Love others as you would love yourself (the way you want to be loved). Be patient with others because you now know the depth of suffering a person can be in. You will make new friends and have new experiences while you are healing. In the moments where you get angry, do NOT sin. You do NOT need to be healed to serve God. He is strong in your weakness. Trust Him to sustain you. Lean in to Him. Seek Him with your whole heart, mind and what little remaining strength you feel you have. Remember, YOU are made in God’s image. You are His child. He will NEVER leave you nor forsake you. He is with you through it all. When it all feels like a storm, speak “‘peace’ in Jesus’ name.” When God achieves mighty things through you (and you consider yourself ‘broken’), honour God regarding the delivered victory. Praise Him. Share your testimony of what God did. Share the Gospel. There will also be a Season where God says, “Be still; I am fighting for you.” Obey that when it is DEFINITELY a message from God. Rest when God tells you to and be silent. Don’t grumble. Thank God simply for Him being Him (and anything else in your life you know is good). Thank Him for what He is doing for you that you are unaware of as you put ALL your trust in Him. - Lessons learned from failure AND from Scripture and occasional success due to obeying ‘Scripture’ (God’s Word / Jesus).

I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye when my dad passed. Life was a dream before he left. I loved my dad, and he loved me. I hugged my dad and told him I loved him every time I left the house to go to school or work. It was that kind of relationship. The levels of grief this man mentioned is true, but there’s no time table or order of the stages. We’re coming up on 10 years since he left, and I still find myself empty. I accept what happened, but I’m only human. I know what true love is, and I hope one day I can pass that love onto my own children. I pray for all of those who are hurting today.
