We're pretty emotional people, so it was very easy for us to feel a strong connection to Laura and Julian when putting their film together. What we particularly loved, was their personal vows; tear-jerking storytelling with intimate details, infused with laugh out loud humour. They are a couple who created a romantic, elegant atmosphere but made sure their guests felt that they could let loose and have fun. This is a dynamic couple and we wanted to create a film that reflected that.
The Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) is hands down one of the most unique venues in Toronto. It's a treasure trove of creativity and a perfect backdrop for a wedding that combines love and artistry. Walker Court (the ceremony space) is a grand, light-filled space with high ceilings, marble floors, and the famous sculptural staircase create a captivating atmosphere.
One of the most captivating aspects of having a wedding at the AGO is the opportunity to immerse your guests in art. Laura and Julian's friends and family were free to enjoy the gallery as they made their way from cocktails to the reception, which was held in the Galleria Italia. You could see guests stop and state as they were created by a stunning wall of windows showcasing Toronto's cityscape.
Laura and Julian are very giving people. They didn't want to dwell on portrait photos, but wanted to maximize their time with the people they care about. They didn't feel the need to check every box that you might expect at a wedding, but made the experience their own, which in turn made the experience that much more special for their guests. We're all about unique couples and unique experiences, so this was a perfect event for us : )
