What a start to the 2023 wedding season at Graydon Hall Manor in Toronto. And 26 degrees in April! I have no idea which Gods J&G were praying to, but I don't think anyone could have expected a day like this.
Graydon Hall Manor is one of our favourite wedding venues in Toronto. It's an oasis in the city blending a little history, pretty gardens and great spaces for hosting intimate and medium-large weddings. Julia and Giancarlo were able to get ready in the large bridal suite and basement bar, have their ceremony in the gardens by he fountain and beautifully decorate the dining room for their intimate reception.
The small pond, tucked away to the side of the building was the perfect spot for their first look and vows exchange (don't you love those vows! And a big thank you to Giancarlo for the Achillies quote - that really lined up nicely with those night time portraits!). We were then able to move between the nooks, paths and courtyard for their portrait session. We also snuck them away for a little sunset shoot and of course, a spot-lit night shoot once the ceremony was under way. Those night shoots are quickly becoming a favourite part of the wedding day. By that point, most couples have loosened up, had a few drinks and are bubbling with love.
Being the first wedding of season, this was also our first opportunity to film with the brand new Lumix S5 Mark ii cameras. Being Lumix S5 shooters, we had high hopes, and boy do these cameras live up to the hype. Amazing AF, great low light, in camera Luts and much improved ibis are defiantly helping us to up our game.
