Yeah, most atomic age comics (50s to early 60s) that i own are usually in the golden age size. Although my experience is only with dell Disney's Comics.

Coooooooolllllll.... Of the ones I have, I really enjoy the cover of #4 from 1927. However, I did just dig up some old Australian ones, that if I can ever get my hands on, will probably take the W for me
