get rid of bulk. in my 7 years of airsoft i’ve only gone through 2 rifles. just build em up and keep ‘em as the good ol reliable. Also the scene in canada is being revived heavy. they just opened a new field that’s an abandoned prison in ontario. not too far from toronto, as well as new indoor fields in the GTA. it’ll make for some awesome gameplay if u can make it out to a milsim here. also ur pretty clouted in the scene here so i doubt you will have a hard time finding a team/buddies who are willing to carpool
I ran one of these as a primary for ages. I just got bored of it and now I primarily run a Marui M4 GBBR. I would say if you’re still in Japan (I’m not sure, haven’t kept up to date with your movements) I would recommend the GBLS DAS. Full travel bolt carrier with a built in cylinder, piston and spring, all driven by gears motor and battery.
I actually have the GBBR version in the same barrel length and handguard length. I built it 2 years ago with Angry Gun parts. I've no gas gasblock either. I've often thought of downsizing my collection to just one or 2 replicas, but I think I'd end up buying everything again.
I started off my airsoft adventures last year with an Umarex GBB HK416, left everything stock and tightened up some screw together with locktite as adviced by some people who used to main it. I live in the EU and as such play with higher FPS limits. I tried GBB because I wanted realism in the sense of how the toy functioned, sadly GBB causes more trouble than I care to deal with at the moment, so I've ordered this URGI myself and am waiting for it's arrival. I do not care much for the lower FPS as outdoors pretty much any and all airsoft rifle with lose range / curve at 50m with the exception of some HPA rifles that were upgraded that I got to shoot as the guys were very friendly and keen to put it in my hands haha. HPA so far is the only variant that I've seen has really far reach but I do not care for the HPA system itself and having to run a nozzle. As such this URGI seemed like the best option for me, the shop I am getting it from is nice enough to swap out the battery and make it EU compatible without any further upgrades. I will look forward to giving this one a try, with the theory in my head the 300FPS will be more than enough to have fun days playing. Maybe it'll be more trouble some once I try my hand at milsims and the ranges increase way passed that 50m mentioned but we'll see. Gonna keep rocking the 14 inch barrel, I hope the QD will work for me but if not would you be able to advice if I can swap out the handguard with a real geissele? (Yes some may find it a waste of money, personally I don't care. It's cool to me and if the QD fits for my sling that'll make life easier.)
The range depends on the output fps, bb weight and your hop up. Here in Czech Republic we have much higher fps limit - around 500fps (2.3J) with 0.2g on outdoor fields is standart and basically when using my gun with 0.4g bb’s and maple leaf mr hop I can hit human torso size target up to around 80m with no issues. My buddies with hpa gun used 0.45g bb’s and have even longer range. Its all about tuning.
I am stuck to a limit of 1.2J or 375 FPS, my current gun reaches 372 at best or sticks around 369 which is not bad imo for our rules here. The TM URGI I ordered should measure at 1J, which is a miniscule difference imo. I'd like something to be ready to go out of the box, I am not one for messing about with the internals. Our fields also do not allow anything above .3g most of the time, indoors .2g so that is most likely where the early curve I mentioned comes from plus the lower fps limit.
Nice setup mate ! Just for playing and enjoy the hobby you did everything right. There is no need for a collection only if your hobby is more collecting than playing the game. I am more into collecting and only play with a bone stock guns and that means I always have a disadvantage compared to the tuned player weapons but its just a fun game anyways
im a f-er arounder. i collect and mostly mod and learn how to tech i dont play much but i train with a ton of bb traps all over my house(damn right im single and a 49 year old manchild) lol. its all for enjoyment and the community. cheers bro
Did you get rid of the MP5 A5? I remember your leaving Japan video and you stated that if you had to choose one gun for Japan it would be the MP5 A5. Just curious on your opinions of a “one and done” gun.
Really enjoyed the video. I try not to have too many airsoft toys in my cabinet. At the moment I have 4 rifles- all different and 4 pistols for different load outs/play styles. I tend to do a one in one out. Would you suggest ngrs over gbb as I’d like a gbb mp5? I’m guessing the AEG would be your choice.
Yeah honestly i agree bringing down a collection to just 2 or 3 really upgraded and usable pieces and then maybe just pick up a couple unique ones that come up or peak my interest
I got kind of a random question. I’m pretty new to airsoft and a bit lost on this. Everybody’s recommended silicone oil for my Tokyo marui airsoft pistol. I have upgraded it to mostly metal, but obviously the nozzle is still plastic. I bought some synthetic airsoft oil. Is that gonna be OK or should I just wipe it off and buy silicone. Thanks for your time or maybe somebody in the comments can help
I disagree with the part that GBBR mags being fragile. It depends on how the mag is made and the platform its meant to run with. I use VFC VMAGs for my V3 416a5 an i do drop them on concrete from time to time, the only damage would be with the paint. Also, using magpuls at the end of each mag will blunt most of the shock. But yes i do agree that the NGRS is a great alternative to GBBRs if all youre after immersion through manual of arms
@@MaydaysanAirsoft I used my delta 416 NGRS last Saturday for an indoor cqb game in Nashville . The first part of the game was super fun until I saw mag feeding issues with my tan epm NGRS mags. Then I thought my gun had an issue. I went back home and checked with TM original mags and they run fun, which is a total bizarre experience in the airsoft world lol
Nice NGRS, but what do you made with your nice MP5? For me, the NGR-System are pretty nice and push the fun level over 9000 and the frustration-level to min. :-D In germany the TM out of the box power is too weak and the gearbox handle not more than ~ 1,5 J. :-(
if this is your 911 turbo daily its a pretty good god darn choice. luckily even porsches love to have their horsepower doubled with hybrid turbos, bigger intercoolers, stand alone ecu and tuning. its smart to smart with a platform that loves modded. its such a handsome rifle(sadly the tan,fde or copper makes me throw up in my mouth a little but i picture it all black). the accessories are spot on for a sensible all around rifle you can use it for everything , even swinging it by the muzzle to whack a cheater and i will work well above average even higher but it is always whispering to you ...if you put in a whatever i'll take the way you like and not just on your birthday. id love to have one but im not qualified. i can tearapart and reassemble my m4 aeg blindfolded(then take the gearbox to a real tech) but i like to step into a urg after im that proficient with my first gbbr coming soon(my kwa mac doest qualify as a gbbr to me). thanks for the famous tip to butt as always full description and explanation to why it is how it is. ive always dug your reviews. one of my fav's and i watch every airsoft review that i find every day 24-7. cheers glad you got a TM back in your hands where it belongs. cheers
If it were me I’d keep the irons on my rifle. That way if your optic goes down, you can rip it off, and you still have a sighting system. You seem to like the realism, so I’m sure you use your irons.
Lower than 1Joule doesn't really mean that your softgun can't shoot far, here in Italy we got max 1 J. and we still have the world record for the longest shot with an airsoft gun(81 or 82 meters), so doesn't really matter honestly. (sorry if my english isn't the best, it's not my first language).
Lol I really don't believe you got rid of your other shit I love having different options and I'm not even close to you in terms of investment, you def still have more than three rifles lol, just busting your balls bro love your content
Amazing that green gas isnt allowed.....but co2 is. And the MWS is "fair" at best. But i guess in your area....rock on man. If you like it, thats #endgame
