All those differences mean nothing to me if I have to spend $300 - $500 more on the Pros. The 11 is more than just enough.

I’ve had oled screens for years and honestly the colors look amazing and I do notice the pixels when looking for them. The pitch blacks are missed only when in complete darkness. Telephoto was never used on my maxx

Great comparison, but it would have helped with the screen comparison if you had used the same background on both phones.

11 pro max...it's heavy, but the fact I get an easy 2 days battery life makes up for that fact. That is something I've never had with previous phones. This also means less charge cycles, decreasing battery degeneration.

i find that basically, when it comes to new iphone releases, and which one to buy, it’s all about preference. yeah, one can technically be better than the other as far as tech specs and stuff go, but it ultimately comes down to which one suits you (personally) best. some people may find the third telephoto camera on the 11 pro models useful, and some may not. same goes with the different screen displays and other small factors that come into play. i plan on getting the 11 pro max in november after having the 8 for about 2 years. i think it’s time for me, personally, to upgrade because i want a larger phone, more camera options, and i’ve been experiencing issues with my phone’s volume and overall system (i’m not sure what to call it).

The weight, probably due in part to the larger battery makes it ok with me. The battery life is amazing on the 11 Pro Max.

You can tell the difference between the displays when they are side by side. If you switch it’ll bother you for maybe a couple of days, then you’ll adjust. You’ll notice still, but not enough to bother you. As far as brightness.. the 11 is plenty bright. I I use it in direct sunlight with no prob.

Both the 11 and 11 pro have the spacial audio improvements

I can tell the difference between oled iphone X to lcd iphone 11. It definitely feels downgraded. Sure i miss oled screen more but as for now, i'm happy with lcd iphone 11 😁 plus the purple colour is gorgeous!

The whole lcd screen debate seems to be a very personal thing. I put my 11 next to the oneplus 7 pro with 90hz fluid amoled and played some yt videos simultaneously and the biggest difference to me is that an oled can be turned a bit brighter and the blacks are more black. Other than that in terms of sharpness there's not much in it unless you look from 1 inch distance which nobody does. I've done the same in a shop comparing the 11 with the 11 pro max and basically same story. Definitely for me the screen on the 11 is okay enough it's a really good LCD display. The downsize of it being an LCD are the bigger bezels, making the Pro models look more sleek. But other than that apart from the tele photo lens which most people don't use the 11 is the iphone to go to unless you really need the telephoto and you want the sleekest design (or the 6.5" screen).

I really feel the difference on the pro max when I was watching some videos in other devices. I can listen to things much more clearly, specially if it's vlogs.

The only reason why I'm aiming to buy 11 Pro is because of its smaller size.

I had a xr product red but after seeing the xs max”s OLED screen I HAD to upgrade! The OLED looks so much better and I could definitely tell also, so I totally get why you’d pick the pro over the iPhone 11 with LCD Screen. Can’t go back to LCD

I like my XR but the camera is not good in low light. Should I get an 11 now or wait until the 12 comes out? I’m afraid that the 12 will be even more expensive with an OLED display.

You can tell the difference in display when you’re looking at both at the same time. They could have at least bumped it to 1080p though. I notice the difference especially on black colors. But aside from that beautiful display, I don’t feel like I’m missing out on much, the telephoto lens...I hadn’t often used on previous iPhones.

Love the honesty regarding the iPhone 11 display. It's not very good. Sure the pixel density and color calibration is fine but it's not a high quality panel. You have $300 phones with sharper/better displays. Yes the average person won't mind it or care but it's not a great screen and apple should have at least included a 1080p panel considering the aging iPhone 8 plus has one and even the older iPhone 7 plus

Why not use the same wallpaper on both screens during your comparison? That would drive your OLED point home comparing the 11 Pro to the 11.

I bought a ditched my hamburger, but then ate it but really threw it up but still ate it because I noticed it still tasted like a hamburger. No differences there so the addition of bread is better. Nothing notable. Hamburger had a matte finish but the throw up burger was glossy. So I would mention that hamburger is easier to hold in hand, but throw up hamburger is not but still fantastic in taste. Not really a premium feeling though, like soup.

Me too! The battery, sound and bezels just don’t cut it on the 11. I want to love it and be able to use it but the max is so much more reliable.

Im switching to the 11 today from the 8plus. Super excited.

Had a XS for a year, traded it back to Verizon and received two XR’s. The screen is definitely a downgrade. I also have a 8Plus for work and comparing the XR/8+ you can see the sharpness of the text on the 8+ over the XR.

I’m on a really old phone (iPhone 5s) and I’m going to get either the iPhone 11 or the iPhone 11 Pro. I’m used to the size of the 5s in my pocket. Is it hard to get used to the larger size phone? I’m thinking of going for the iPhone 11 Pro simply because it is smaller. I want something comfortable to carry and use with one hand.

I had an iPhone XS before fading for the 11 (standard) and yeah I can tell the difference between the OLED and LCD but after the first 2 days I got used to it. It does a nice job to match OLED but it’s not the same

I have the 11. Really wanted the 11pro. Just couldn’t drop the extra money right now. I did grab a 128gb 11 but I love the 5.8 form factor. Next year i should be able to scoop up the newest 5.8 version.

Lol I’ve had Samsung for years, even before the coming of smartphones. I switched to iphone 6 s plus late 2015, and never looked back. I don’t even miss having an amoled screen, as the resolution on my now current phone; iphone 8 plus is high enough in resolution. I wish the 11 had as a high resolution as the iphone 8 plus, then I wouldn’t think twice picking that one up, but in fact it’s low resolution is what holds me back from getting it. Same reason I didn’t get the XR last year either. I never liked skinny as phones anyway, so the thickness is just a bonus in my book🤷🏾‍♀️

As for the sound quality, they should have the same technology with Dolby Atmos available for both.

I upgraded from a brand new iPhone Se non refurbished from December 2018 to the iPhone 11

I chose the 11 Pro due to size...I feel anything bigger would be like a tablet...plus I upgraded from the first SE so it’s a big deal to finally have an updated phone with a better battery life & really digging the camera on this.

It is actually the weight of the phone I love so much on my 11 pro max , just feels like a thousand pound in your hand .

I use 11 pro regular one and use iPhone 11 as a back up phone. I like both. I like the size of the 11 pro size is perfect for my hands. The 11 is bigger and harder to hold in my hand. But as a spare phone it is great. I don’t like the really large screen because I can’t hold them in my hand. But my husband has large hands and likes larger screen sizes-uses the 6splus, one of the largest screens Apple ever made I think

The OLED and the telephoto to me is not worth the price difference. Thanks to companies like Anker, I also don’t have to pay Apple tax for fast charging.

As someone who has used the the x to the pros and the 11 , that display makes a difference especially if you use your phone outside

My sister owns the regular 11 then I bought the Pro Max. I can say that the Pro Max gives a premium feeling. The 2x zoom is more than useful. Telephoto lens allows to get rid of photo distortion and looks better. OLED is noticable when it comes to blacks 👌🏻

I had an OLED on the X yes I notice the difference even still after this long using the 11. Otherwise it’s an excellent device

Bruh I’m going from Iphone 5s to Iphone 11 pro and that’s a huge step.

The OLED displays Apple uses have something called PWM which causes the display to flicker, it can induce headaches and vision strain. The 11's LCD screen does not have this problem.

I just moved from Redmi note 7 to iPhone 11, I can see the screen differences.. the pixels on iPhone 11 is visible on the first time I using it compared to the note 7 which have more pixels. But somehow the color is more calm on the iPhone. And now I can use to it and feel comfortable with the lcd screen like no different to the previous phone

An option of you want to save money the Xs max of last year is at good price right now. Like people sleep on the fact that the Xs max was the first big x style phone. The size and weight I think is perfect. The display compared to the 11 pro max is the same to me. Plus it is the going to be the only big iPhone X with 3D Touch.

I actually am of the minority now when i say I prefer LCD screens. I had an 8 plus and loved the bright display, now i have the iphone x and the display is dim and the colors are a bit too "sterile" for my liking. i like the blueish, bright hue of the LCD display. makes it feel more premium

i own both phones and this are my tougths : 1- spacial audio ( dolbi atmos ) sounds equal on both isnt better on the pro. they are equal 2- i preffer a iphone 11 with the telephoto than the ultra wide ( since i have never us it ) 3- the displays are equaly good but the difference pop more when watching Video content.

I haven't heard anyone say that the iphone 11's screen can't be distinguished from the a 1080P OLED. What they are saying is that it's difficult to tell the difference for another Apple 1080P LCD Retina display, like the iPad devices. This is due to having the same pixel density as those other devices. You absolutely CAN tell the difference between OLED and LCD.

I bought the iphone11 for my gf's birthday and she had an iphone7. What you say is absolutely true. She loves it. The difference is so much noticeable and it would have been the same with the iphone 11 pro but only it would have cost me way more.

I can careless for the 11pros I have trypophobia. I upgraded from the 7plus rose gold to the 11 purple, I don’t miss the fingerprint, size, matte finish or screen. With the iPhone 11 I get a bigger screen, waaay better camera, the new purple color and the size is perfect I always drop my phones anyway so I hope I take care of this one.
