How dare he stand around like a lump trying to protect public servants while he allows the clients information to be open to anyone in the arerea. People could commit identity theft or get single womens home address and attack them. Years ago we were required to put our names and addresses on the back of cheques and a man at the TSB bank was getting the names where the cheque said Miss and going to their homes and raping them. That was stopped after this came to light but how many women had to suffer - the men were not asked to sign the back.
true but G4S has reputation of being morons re law and take no notice of complaints like all security firms we see here not just security but the staff of the center are oblivious to public photography laws to the point of breaking the law if only the police did their job this would be stopped

This is absolute gold. The manager is a very strange little man. The g4s goons take their underpaid jobs SO seriously. They've obviously been given some very odd info on public photography. The little old lady seemed to take the whole thing personally. They'll be talking about this for weeks.

Why does one small place need so many (uneducated and untrained ) "security guards" ? The security agency is not meeting their responsibilities and is putting themselves and the public at risk.

This was a 36 minute comedy sketch. So much of what the G4S and DWP staff said was laugh out loud funny. Such as the big guy saying that you're an unreasonable person after he'd unreasonably told you to stop filming him. And the manager saying that you don't have his permission to put his voice onto the public domain. And the way the short female senior citizen G4S was floundering around in her thoughts in response to your well reasoned arguments. Do they ever actually report their data breach to the ICO? I'm not holding my breath that they will do.
The big guy was being unreasonable in demanding that PttP stop filming. The manager didn't want evidence recorded of his unlawful and egregious actions. The woman was a right order follower, brainwashed person/sheeple, robot, slave, victim, member of the control system, blindly following corrupt and unlawful orders without thought.
They might report it since they realise that they are bang to rights. When PTTP then the ICO if they ever get around to their backlog, will ask the DWP about the breach. The DWP will ignore that and complain about the whistle blower. So PTTP needs to make it a whistle blower report in his complaint. He's then protected.
Must be room for at least 40-50 apartments for homeless people in the space that Job Centre occupies. I’d be interested in seeing some figures on the current efficacy of Job Centres.
Statistically speaking, and based on a lean period in my life a few years back when I had to deal with these arseholes, that would be virtually zero. I would love to know how much they get in fees for each appointment they take with job seekers, and would be certain that it's WAY too much.
I could not agree more. I went to out local job centre to get my daughters NI number as she was starting a job. The massive building was empty and kitted out with desks, shelves and cupboards all made from expensive beech. There was not a mark on the shinny blue carpet because obviously nobody went there! There was a central line of computers and all the staff were huddled in a corner of the room chatting and laughing. They had no work to do and my daughter and I were the only people in the building. They had three security guards who all rushed us to ask what we wanted. I ignored them and walked past. But guess what they did not know my daughters NI number and I had to phone the DWI - what a waste of money.
I used to work for the job centre aka joke centre. It really is a joke. If you're looking for work, don't go to the joke centre. The staff are for the most part utterly incompetent. Good 80% of the staff where I worked were lazy and useless.
@@Crashawsome a good question - I would say over the past 20 years - since the year 2000 as a rule of thumb. Splitting hairs on the "sidewalk/pavement" issue aside there is a real issue of people getting soft and woke. I think some of these Americanisms are thrown in for laugh - like "calling the feds" or "911" etc. We're all on the same page here I'm sure👍.

I agree, you can tell the people who want to do it to excessive their rights and hopefully educate security and police etc at the same time and make change for the future, then there are those how like to scream and shout and cause a reaction but never follow through with taking things further when their rights have been violated.

The young G4S guy was reasonably good. Followed orders at the start, but did listen, was approachable in terms of a discussion about public/private area, and realised that the best thing was to keep quiet, do nothing and just monitor.
They are the most infantile and stubborn responses I've seen from G4S yet. The Job Centre Manager was way out of his depth - DWP should sack him, and those 'security' ops should be sacked or thoroughly retrained/disciplined.

I can imagine him trying it. Firstly he's got to identify PttP down to his home address and DoB. Then he's got to have at least a few grand to pay a solicitor to handle the case. And finally, if he does manage to do all that he's got to be able to argue that he has been personally harmed, inconvenienced, damaged from the publication of words that he himself said and that he wasn't harmed, inconvenienced, damaged because other people in the vicinity heard those words. Or in other words, a snowflake in hell's chance.

The interactions with the staff and hired security guards, make me extremely concerned for any visitors or service users. What if they want to stand up for their rights relating to any benefit claim or personal affairs? Will G4S appear to behave as hired thugs who (wrongly) believe they have assumed some powers of the police and deny people their lawful rights?
All these G4 security guards must have all been trained by the same person who must have been a thick as shit and really didn’t train anyone in the real aspects and laws surrounding their jobs wherever they may be stationed .
There is a company offering a SIA course on the internet for £260.00, you dont pay untill you pass. Cleary there is a big con here and the government are paying for what could be crap courses that everyone passes. We see many times that the SIA security have not a clue of the law and what they are doing, IMHO a lot need the sack. We have, though, paid for them to be "trained" and we need the money back. Why not sell them as SIA security guards on Ebay? Other countries who need guards could buy them and they may understand the law better in those countries. Maybe a lot of them would like the warmer weather in other countries as well?
